I think the thing Simon is missing when he talks about boxers not wanting to debate him, or maybe his not missing and knows full well is, it's not confrontation that bothers them it's the mode in which confrontation takes place. There seems to be an inverse relationship between your ability to throw hands and your need to converse your way out of problems. Simply put Simon is asking to spar on his battle ground. The problem is the inaccuracies of the reporting of the situation. The narrative about Fury being hard to deal with was ridiculous. The Fury- Usyk fight was always being worked on behind the scenes between both parties. Back in February the Ngannou fight was being finalized for October because the Saudis wanted it and at the same time the Usyk fight was always being worked on. This was always the plan. Meanwhile Team Joshua has fallen out in negotiations with both Wilder and Fury but it's Fury that's being labeled as the guy that's hard to deal with. History has shown us that most big fights take longer to make than the fans would like because of the large amount of money involved. It's always been that way. It's not an excuse it's an explanation that's not exclusive to any one fighter.

I think the thing Simon is missing when he talks about boxers not wanting to debate him, or maybe his not missing and knows full well is, it's not confrontation that bothers them it's the mode in which confrontation takes place. There seems to be an inverse relationship between your ability to throw hands and your need to converse your way out of problems. Simply put Simon is asking to spar on his battle ground. I'd imagine boxers do not want to debate Simon, for pretty much the same reasons Simon don't want to get in the ring and "debate".

Maybe he remembers that he took the belt in 2020 and had to fight Wilder again. Also fought Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora and made them look awful (and Whyte was being talked about as no 3. Heavyweight in the world when that fight was made) then some Saudi's come along and say something along the lines of, "we want the undisputed, but you'll have to wait a year and you'll get £200m for it!" And it puts things on hold. The only issue Simon Jordan actually has, is he wants Fury to come out and say it! Like with Crystal Palace, he understands that things stay under wraps before the signature is signed! And like with Crystal Palace, Simon knows that you can lose many millions of pounds by making business decisions too hastily. Deontay Wilder did the opposite. The problem is the inaccuracies of the reporting of the situation. The narrative about Fury being hard to deal with was ridiculous. The Fury- Usyk fight was always being worked on behind the scenes between both parties. Back in February the Ngannou fight was being finalized for October because the Saudis wanted it and at the same time the Usyk fight was always being worked on. This was always the plan. Meanwhile Team Joshua has fallen out in negotiations with both Wilder and Fury but it's Fury that's being labeled as the guy that's hard to deal with. History has shown us that most big fights take longer to make than the fans would like because of the large amount of money involved. It's always been that way. It's not an excuse it's an explanation that's not exclusive to any one fighter.

The Ngannou fight is a glorified spar, so 23rd December for undisputed wouldn't be too much of an ask
I doubt we will see the undisputed fight this year or anytime soon. Usyk is carrying an injury at the moment and would need a minimum of a 14 week camp. Fury will throw Usyk under the bus, insist that the fight happens in December and use it to claim that Usyk never wanted the fight. Fact of the matter is Fury wants the biggest paydays for the least amount of risk at this stage of his career
