@@UNIFRESHERZ hmmm…bit aggressive pal. I was only asking a clarifying question. Would you rather people don’t ask questions to further clarity in discussions? And I very much do my own research. Neither of those fighters come under Frank Warren. As it happens the contract for a three fight deal with AJ fighting in Saudi has already been done as has a deal with Wilder so it’s a pointless discussion anyway. I hope Frank is involved somehow anyway though personally. Grew up watching his cards and love seeing him still around. Be well my friend 👍

We are blessed for boxing and the next few months is going to be amazing, as long as we dont have any more of the RUclips fights smelling out the joint. In my opinion Aj should look after himself and do what he wants based on the way fans treated him for quite some time. Wilder, lets not forget has not done anything in two years, which proves he is not really into the idea of helping the heavyweight division in any way. Before he fights AJ he should fight other heavyweights that can box who are not likely to fall easily because they have been punched with one of Wilder's rockets. Great pod guys.
Jeez, you must be a "boxing casual" with that remark, Joshua ALWAYS looks after himself, its got NOTHING to do with how the fans treat him, he fights who HE wants to fight, & avoids who HE wants to avoid, but why the hell should Wilder or any fighter help the heavyweight division ?, he is under NO obligation to help the heavyweight division, NONE of them are, they have a short career,& they have to concentrate on looking after their own careers, dont be an idiot all of you're life, take a day off.
When miller does it it’s entertaining but when fury does the exact same thing it’s embarrassing. I was critical of fury for saying talksport and Simon was bias against him but from what I’m hearing here he’s not far off.
Someone who has had every type of drug in his system and is fortunate to be in boxing at all, no less. I see that some of the negative energy Talksport reserved for Joshua has moved on to Fury since he banned them.
This is so much better than the US boxing talk show. Love the analysis these boys produce, asking probing questions. Credit to Spencer Oliver and Jordan! I would say though that their analysis on Fury is wrong, I agree with Johnny Nelson and think his legs are gone, his conditioning isnt anywhere it needs to be to fight Usyk. Personally, I think this will be a easy fight for Usyk.
I’ve seen other people saying similar things ad. Certainly his footwork hasn’t been what it used to be circa the Klitschko fight. If he fights Usyk in the middle of the ring he’ll probably lose, if he hangs back or crowds usyk his chances go up and I still pick him to win
It's really hard to see how Fury gets conditioned for mid February. He is very undercooked these days, and I think his motivation is lacking, because of money, age, and imo the punishment he took from the last Wilder fight. It's a false narrative that Tyson is nimble and can't easily get hit...and he was floored twice by Wilder in a proper slug fest, and obviously by Nganu, who floored Fury too easily imo.
rename it the “Joshua, Fury, Hearn & Warren update show” im guessing they don’t break down Andrade v Benavidez or talk about Kal Yafai’s career & retirement, Diego Pacheco’s fight ???
Looks alright but there’s nothing to really look forward to is there, it’s jus nice to have some boxing on but it has the capability to be a snooze fest
It’s an absolute belting card! There’s no pleasing some people though but they don’t understand how the business works. I agree it’s frustrating we haven’t had Fury Joshua or Joshua Wilder but this is the best card I can remember for a long long time. I’m pretty sure there’s 7-8 fighters who are ranked in the top 10 and they’re also facing EACH OTHER. To me that screams a great card.
All I’ve heard while everyone been hating on Fury… Joshua vs Wilder this Joshua vs Wilder that another promise from Hearn that this fight will happen and then JOSHUA and WILDER on the same card 😂😂😂😂😂
Are you thick. Wilders manager has admitted to ignoring hearn trying to make the fight do you want the quotes? Wilder has admitted he ducked AJ for more money to fight fury. You want the exact quote? Wilder also ducked klikchtko and AJ then went and knocked him out in his 16th fight. Wilder was ducking him as a world champion, with 33 fights under his belt. His manager said he's a baby he needs time when he's 33_0 world champion. Wake up fool
@@Fathervinyard WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) is still very much a work in progress, says his co-manager Shelly Finkel. After last Saturday's world title win over Bermane Stiverne, the hype began growing for a fight between Wilder and WBO/WBA/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko. Finkel, who manages Wilder with Al Haymon and Jay Deas, also works closely with Klitschko. Look, (Wilder) is a baby winning the title. It was his first title fight, they'll be a time for unification, they'll be a time for all those things, he could go and Povetkin (the No. 2 contender) in Russia and make $10 million,” Finkel said to the Tuscaloosa News. “It's not the right thing yet. Give him a couple of fights, maybe bring something back to Alabama. Let him develop just like any other athlete. They don't take someone who is a great college prospect and throw him right in. And this kid is a great prospect.”
Negative people say negative things. Positive people say positive things. How can anyone complain about this card for December 23? We didn't even know we were getting a card like this in 2023.
Realistic people say realistic things. There is absolutely zero reasons why Wilder couldn’t fight AJ on 23rd of December but they will slap a £25 PPV on AJ Vs Wallin and people will pay hoping it will be aj Wilder next. Which of course it won’t.
Spot Simom, AJ is being steered for 3rd WT. Wider and Fury will be his pensoon top-up . Eddy will steer AJ away from Wilder for some time yet. Mathroom have also avoided this fight
I think Frank was fine by bringing it up (ok it was a bit full on than needed), but he did not completely destroy Catterall to be fair to Adam. The first comment Frank made regarding Fury, Catterall shut him down and you noticed Frank change the subject quickly. A bit surprisingly Frank seemed civil regard to the schedule over the last year odd by saying he promoters did what they could given the situations at the respective times (regarding every promoter), though saying "the next best fighter" is questionable in some cases, to a lot of boxing fans anyway. I am not really a Simon Jordan fan but he does make a good point on "if you don't like it, don't listen to it", which does seem to be a trend from the Warren/Fury camp. It seems that as the support for Fury/Warren has faded a bit over the year, it has turned to criticism, because people are getting fed up with the talk because it looks like nothings happening from this said talk some seem to like to do.
"If you don't like it don't listen to it" is very true but you can say the same regarding the most recent heavyweight cards, "if you don't like it, don't watch it"
@@buckylevett5602 Yeah thats a point too, but there is a difference between watching a fight because thats part of your job and paid for it, and promoting a fight/fights and getting upset because he has heard that a handful of people think the fights are/was was crap, and getting paid for it.
Daniel's issue is that he does not have the desire. The great Teddy Atlas described Tyson the same way. That desire is the difference, it is that willingness to red line. The difference between a great boxer and a good boxer.
Don't conflate Dubois with Tyson. Teddy Atlas has a chip on his shoulder deeper than the Mariana Trench when it comes to Tyson. Tyson took his lumps like a true warrior when he was beaten during his 'Prime' years. He was nailed to the floor by Douglas and still got to his feet with gunshield in hand.... The first fight with Holyfield was an absolute war, rewatch it, they were landing serious shots on each other. Compare that fight to some of the dross we are served up these days. None of the fighters active today could take that intensity.
I genuinely feel sorry for people who hate Tyson. You've missed out on following one of the most entertaining and best heavyweights all time. If you are from the UK and hate Tyson there is something wrong with you 😂
The best fights in heavyweight boxing are Joshua of old vs Tyson of old ( the one vs Klitschko) or Tyson of the modern day vs Usyk or Wilder vs Joshua in any era. But as fans, we'll take any of these in any new/old condition. The one we're seemingly getting is Tyson vs Usyk which because of the size and mystery around Usyk creates chaotic opinions. Usyk isn't seen as a big puncher but we've seen him trouble many and put big men down. Fury is seen as slick and powerful but we've seen him go over a few times now as well. The body shot resistance of Usyk is in question as well even though I think the last fight was a low blow. It's a fan-friendly fight for the purists and the casuals.
@jaykalirai9111 Repeatedly saying he'd fight for nothing, then completely changing his tune and turning into mr money, leaves me feeling cheated. Also, Tyson and Ali have legacies I can respect, something I thought Fury would have one day, but that won't happen now as he's only defended his belt 3 times and age is catching up with him.
@@LeeAmes fighters say all sorts they are put in difficult situations by press and media. I am sure he. Will have a great legacy. Tyson and Ali have said alot worse
I think AJ facing Wallin is good for AJ ahead of the Wilder fight (providing AJ has a solid performance of course). Wilder v Parker is the best matchup on the card, I can see Parker causing an upset. Wilder hasn’t beaten anyone at Parker’s level.
Aj said that Eddie makes the choices in his career and that he wants to be 3 time HW champ (which is meaningless if Fury and Usyk have belts or even if Usyk has all the belts other than the IBF because people won’t look at him like a champ) he doesn’t get that by fighting Wilder he gets that by fighting Hergovic. He ain’t fighting Wilder
If his aim is to be a three time HW champ then yes going the IBF route makes the most sense. No need to fight Wilder even though I’d love to see that. History book wise being a three time HW champ isn’t nothing regardless of RUclips comments. And if AJ did get that strap again then of course he can call out for a Unification. Makes sense. Just a question of whether AJ can beat Wallin and whoever ends up with the IBF strap and then who he’d face between Fury or Usyk. But of course…could all change tomorrow lol
The only people that think Joshua is ducking Wilder are Fury fans. Windmill was a terrible champion who ducked the entire division for several years keeping the WBC hostage, and he only lost it because he viewed Fury as his easiest option. Now it’s becoming apparent that Luke is sadly not the best heavyweight in the division and he never was, so his win over Windmill is becoming meaningless.
We all know Hearn is hoping dobois quits again and then Aj can duck wilder and fight Baby miller because of their "past " and then He'll fight Hergovic for the belt. No wilder fight
It's effin ridiculous it's taken 24 years for a HW undisputed title fight where all the titles are on the line. In the meantime, we've had about 50 of them in other divisions. Even now, you'd argue its not even the fight everyone really wants to see at HW, be it AJ V Wilder or AJ V Fury. Says a lot about the division and why so many people just can't be arsed with boxing nowadays.
Totally agree that’s it’s super frustrating but for sure the governing bodies make it as difficult as possible so they can keep taking in those sweet sweet fees from their belt holders.

Boxing in a good place. Can't really blame the fighters for the path they are all going as we'd all do the same in there shoes and looks like over the next 12 months we should get the fights we want.
Simons over thinking things. For once AJ is being smart and giving himself multiple options. We don’t know for certain if the IBF will strip Usyk/Fury. If it does happen and AJ has an opportunity to become mandatory then he will of course take it. He would be a fool not to. If it doesn’t then Wilder is there. He has to get through Wallin first anyways so conjecture is moot at this time.
I don't know why anyone rates DDD highly from what I've seen of him tbh. Is he a nice guy? Absolutely, seems like a lovely fellow. Is he big and strong? Yes, but if that's all it takes then every second gym has a few heavyweight champs, it takes more than looking the part and having decent punch power. In 3 fights including vs Usyk, Joe Joyce and some South African cruiser weight he took a knee and quit in 2 of them. He's not quick either and was comfortably schooled by Usyk. Chisora looked better. Do you guys know his immediate reaction after losing to Usyk when both fighters spoke to each other was "I'm not cut out for this, I'm done with sport, it's over" or something very similar and Usyk was basically talking him out of quitting. Of course Frank made DDD work the "I was robbed! I want a rematch!" narrative but it's clear that against the best in the business and when the going gets tough, DDD gets going, as in, he folds and looks for an exit. So no, unless things fall very very nicely and he ends up fighting some bum for a vacated belt I don't see DDD ever being a champ. At least not against any of the the current top 5.
It is a good card, but if you look at the bookies odds; all the favs are heavily odds on. Parker could be the fly in the ointment unless he walks on to that big right hand.
Frank failed to make AJ vs tyson for years after not reading a contract he had with Wilder, Frank failed to make Usyk vs fury and signed the Francis fight while lying to everyone
@MorgoYT Joshua never made undisputed despite having 3 belts since early 2018. Choose to fight Povetkin and Ruiz instead. Ruiz was a voluntary remember 😂 held up the whole division for a year 😂
@MorgoYT Joshua is the boss and he chose to fight Povetin instead of Wilder and then Ruiz on short notice instead of Wilder. That let Tyson back in and the rest is history.
Wilder was just showing the class and respect because of the location (KSA) that Fury could only ever dream of, as was shown in the Fury v Usyk Press Conference.
In a ideal world, we would need a consistent date for these types of fights. The next challenge is how do you get the top fighters to fight before they are 35 years old plus.
If joshua is that angry about everyone thinking he's gun shy and washed up. Why doesn't he come out all guns blazing. I've never seen a top fighter so scared of getting hit.
Because it leaves him open to being countered (Ruiz 1) or gassing. His last win was a knockout, albeit not against the best opponent but he took his time and waited for the opening despite getting boos from the fans. I think he will KO Wallin.
People talk as if that is the way AJ used to fight 'to come out all guns blazing'. This has been repeated so much some think this is a fact when it is not. He has always boxed before the Ruiz fight, looking for openings, then getting aggressive if he hurts his opponent, it's always been that way.
@SunniAthari you don't know what you're talking about. Its not since he got dropped by ruiz. Joshua went safety first from joe parker onwards. The second he became the matchroom cashcow he started boxind not to lose rather than to go out and win. Now he seems incapable of reverting back to his previous style. He became deluded thinking he could outbox everyone. It works until you get to the very top, where Joshua's boxing level is exposed. He'll get away with it up until he fights fighters who are proper boxers
Not sure why there is still some negativity around the December card, or why there's such a clamour for AJ v Wilder now. AJ hasn't had even a half decent win for 3 years and the best name on Wilder's record is Ortiz. If they fight now, it's just a money grab between two has beens or in Wilder's case maybe a never was. However, if they both come through these fights against good, credible opponents then their fight suddenly becomes so much bigger and will have a lot more credibility. I'm pleased they are having to earn that fight, rather than going straight in.
If Dubois gets beat he should give boxing up same goes for parker but in this day of age mediocre boxers can continue competing in a decent level because none of the heavyweight’s really stamp their authority on the rest they are too busy finding ways to duck n dive each other
The IBF likely won’t be vacated until after Fury Usyk rematch which will be towards the end of next year. Simon’s point is confusing if AJ is penciled in to fight Wilder in March. I’m confused.
It's just annoying because it's another time we have to hope that AJ and Wilder both win before they can fight. Why not just make the fight now and don't take the risk?
Can someone explain to me what they mean when they say a boxers legs are gone? They're pondering whether Fury's legs are gone or not but what does that mean exactly? And I'm not talking about when a boxer gets chinned by Wilder and starts sleep walking.
Zero chance we see AJ wilder in 2024. AJ beats Wallin and fights hrgovic for the IBF once Fury or Usyk is stripped. When Eddie and AJ get they’re hands on the IBF they’ll cling onto it for dear life until a massive payday comes up then it’s worth losing.

AJ beats Wallin, then fights Herkovitch for IBF belt. After he wins the IBF Hearn will start talking AJ has mandatory fights first then Wilder. I don't see AJ vs Wilder happening unless the IBF mandatory takes step a side money.
Hopefully Warren can make Wilder vs Joshua

Does Wilder or Joshua fight under Warren?
@@alexreid4131 yea he owns the promotion do your research. Simon Jordan brainwashing you
@@UNIFRESHERZ hmmm…bit aggressive pal. I was only asking a clarifying question. Would you rather people don’t ask questions to further clarity in discussions? And I very much do my own research. Neither of those fighters come under Frank Warren. If he was to promote a fight between them then he would have to ask for their promoters to sign them over to him for a one fight deal so he could promote the event which would make zero sense.
@@UNIFRESHERZ ahhh… on further reading I understand your confusion. You thought we were talking about this card on Dec 23rd which 100% Frank is the lead promoter for. My question was about a future AJ v Wilder fight which likely would not involve him although I hope they find a way to include him in the mix likely as a surrogate for Bob Arum maybe?
We are blessed for boxing and the next few months is going to be amazing, as long as we dont have any more of the RUclips fights smelling out the joint.
In my opinion Aj should look after himself and do what he wants based on the way fans treated him for quite some time. Wilder, lets not forget has not done anything in two years, which proves he is not really into the idea of helping the heavyweight division in any way. Before he fights AJ he should fight other heavyweights that can box who are not likely to fall easily because they have been punched with one of Wilder's rockets.
Great pod guys.
Blessed, woth Joshua v Wallin instead of Wilder???

Why do we still have to hear tyson wasn't focused? At least Simon called it out.
It's a false narrative that Tyson is nimble and can't easily get hit...and he was floored twice by Wilder in a proper slug fest, and obviously by Nganu, who floored Fury too easily imo.
rename it the “Joshua, Fury, Hearn & Warren update show”
im guessing they don’t break down Andrade v Benavidez or talk about Kal Yafai’s career & retirement, Diego Pacheco’s fight ???

Pillsbury dough boy for Ruiz is hilarious🤣
Do Talksport only ever talk about the main fighters? What about the lesser known fights and fighters?

You know I was offered more money to fight Joshua than I was getting to fight you. Again being a man of my word, I fought you like I said I would.”
Talksport kicked out 😂😂😂

So Miller is commended for making the press conference entertaining, Fury did the same, and it's disrespectful???
Which is it TalkSport?

@alexreid4131 but everyone will know the belt stripped from Fury vs Usyk will be worthless.
It’s a corrupt and pathetic division. They were willing to let Ngannou skip the ranking queue because he generates money. Shameful

He's shitting it from Wilder, thats why he will be fighting Hrgovic next
Yeah its smart but its also low fighting for Furys crumbs AGAIN i thought AJ was a proud man.

It’s still been a great year of boxing without the Saudi 23rd December card but it’s definitely the cherry on the cake for 2023 boxing fights.
I agree. He needs to save that anger for the ring
@@philipdunn5972 because Ruiz 1 is the narrative said everywhere, I don't agree with it.
It's generally a good card. Wilder v Parker is a mismatch, albeit the Wallin fight is very tricky for AJ. That could go wrong for him.
Best card of the last 5 years by far
Sir Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Oh man - I forgot about Deontay’s ‘body’ comments 😬🙈
Ibf belt will never be for a rematch btw usyk and fury
It's just annoying because it's another time we have to hope that AJ and Wilder both win before they can fight. Why not just make the fight now and don't take the risk?
I think Miller mentioning someone going to the morgue is pretty bad (even if its banter) especially considering his history.
I struggle to understand Spencer’s role in this programme?
Is it as the “boxing expert” or is it because he has interesting perspectives on the sport?
Catteral was weak when Warren pulled him..gutted he didn't give it him back .Warren wouldn't have pulled Jordan like that. .
I reckon boxing had done brilliantly for hundreds of years before talksport came along weirdly
