This is by far the best of these Talksport boxing talks.
I like Carls honesty, i was told to move around with him for a few rounds to give him a feel of professional boxing, he was heavier than me but hadn’t had a pro contest yet, I did find him easy to hit and my instinct was that he would be an average pro, British champion at best. How wrong was i, he stayed in the gym kept on learning and was so dedicated, living the life and cutting no corners, I’m now the one who’s proud to say that i shared the ring with Carl ‘The Cobra 🐍 Froch’ well done on a great career! 👏🏿👏🏿
I think jury loves the fame so is looking for any opportunity to get a fight with a big name. Carl might only do it if he feels sorry for John.

Don’t compare AJ to Fury when it comes to being thin skinned. Simon & co have been over the top critical of him down the years, obsessively so to the point where AJ has come out and looked to defend himself which he is more than entitled to do. If you give an opinion you should expect an opinion back, what Fury has done is outright block people something AJ has never done regardless of what you say about him.
When it comes to boxing AJ has a far better resume than fury.....anybody that thinks otherwise just needs to press a button get on box rec and look at their records

Because a lot of boxers have always been used to using violence if someone offends them . They hide their sensitivity behind it .
Not many have the skill is to be satisfied with using words to fight. Issue history of most boxers had been coming from crime and violence, soft talking men were not ones to do boxing. Aggression has always been part of it on and off the ring.

I think AJ is at his best right now. Previously he was either too confident in his ability / power and got caught by Ruiz, so he concentrated on his boxing; he then was too hesitant against Franklin and got stick for it, so he concentrated on his offence. If you look at his fight against Wallin, you’ll see he’s much more considered in his approach; delivering the power as and when it’s was needed and timing his responses with more thought - I think he needed the lows in his career to make him the fighter he is now. If it came to it, my money would be on AJ if he fought Fury 👍

AJ is still evolving as a boxer, we’ve seen the very best of Fury and even then, we don’t know how good he was. Fury is hugely overrated. Only Froch says it as it is.
