- Learn to dock a boat in tight spaces! In this video we explain how to dock a boat in close quarters using just your engines to pivot yourself 180 degrees and turn on a dime - this is how to spin your boat with two motors! We also show an alternative method to boat docking if you can't quite make the turn and need to use your wheel.

Shout-out to your parents for doing a fantastic job. They should be proud of both of you. Great job ladies. 🚤
You are both great 👍
Well said here
"Slow goes bump. Fast goes crash." Best motto for docking.
My favorite line is never come in faster than you want to hit the dock
Lol I just got to the point in the video where she said it
So true but if it is windy you will need more speed however.
@@ScurvyRelics me too. And that's the one they used.
@@NilsHedstrom if the wind is against you, yes. But if you are headed downwind to your dock, the wind will add extra speed you can't counter so it's best to go slower.
I love how ya'll are not only showing us how to catch fish but how to responsibility use a boat as well. No other channels do that sort of thing.
Not gonna lie, that was pretty damn impressive 👍😍😊
quite nice to see 2 young ladies educate and illustrate without using the string bikini method for views - well done!
Thank you very much!
I’m a man. I’m a captain.(100-Ton Master) I agree completely.
That’s cause they’re classy, not trashy.
I agree also....but even if they were, I would not shame them for it! They are smart as well as beautiful! :-)
@@jedr.3494 ohhhh....that's alittle strong
Dear Emily and Amanda, thank you for restoring my trust in women. Seriously, your short films are great pleasure to watch, learn and get inspired. Twofold! 🤍
Thank you for watching 😊
I award you the best gorgeous charismatic captain of the year 2021.
That's the beauty of having twin screws.
The other way around is also nice!
Ladies I was in the Navy for over 20 years and am nicknamed Boats, my kids, brother and even my wife call me Boats to this day. Having said that I commend you on your seamanship, great job! Ive seen so many people use too much motor, too fast of an approach and stall, and have to break out the fiberglass gear to make a repair.
Tight lines!
I'm navy also 64/68. Did lots of boat handling, i thought this was a excellent video.

A tricky maneuver is one thing.
Talking/explaining while doing a tricky maneuver is a work of art!
I have to do this with a single...20' boat in a 25' channel...if its high tide!
Luckily its mud on both sides
Shallow Atwater mode iu bard up io up
Great content. Too many fishing channels focus just on the fishing aspect neglecting the boating component. Ive had 6 boats and im still learning new skills so i applaud your broad focus on the sport!
Nice job ladies.!👏👏
Nice job ladies you explained how to maneuver a boat professionally you showed it professionally unlike somebody else who relies on the bow thruster and it had a stern thruster would also rely on that to suck the Stern into the doc you did a professional job my hats off to you
Phenomenal job on turning and docking that boat. A 35' OAL boat is a lot more than most people can handle...Especially oscillating it 180º in a 40' wide canal without so much as a bump or scratch...And NEVER touched the wheel. Yall make it look easy. 👍🏻
Twin props do it everytime !
Nice video and great docking skills! Don't forget your spring line! And I never flushed out the motor until I haul it out for the season! I've had Evinrude's, Merc's, Suzuki's and now Honda since 1970! These engines are made to handle salt water and as soon as you turn them on the salt water dissolves the dried salts in them. I never had an issue in any of them due to salt deposits. Best Regards, Jay
Wow... This is fantastic. No hype just good hard facts and method. I've had many boats in my younger years and I am really impressed with both of you ladies. Great demonstration of patience and discipline. Keep it coming very informative and entertaining.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great video Ladies!
I would give them two thumbs up even if they crash the boat!!
Great job ladies I have twin 200 Yamahas on a new center console you taught me how to use 2 engines to dock.im new at this .thanks again Rob a.
I learn so much from you two. So clear and not making any assumptions that I know anything about boating as I don't know anything about boating but now I feel I can park a boat.
You two are next level.
With a single sterndrive, I was always taught to use the method you describe at the end. Nose in, and pull the stern into the dock with reverse. You guys are amazing at what you do! Keep up the good work
Guys my wife and I watch your videos all the time. I’m new to the boating world and I have learned a lot from your material. Keep on going and muchas gracias
I am SO impressed with you guys. I usually don't comment on YT boat tip videos because usually the tips are not the best practices. You have such a deft touch, you are so in tune with your boat. These are the things I've been teaching my now 11 year old daughter. Take your time, it's not a race, plan your moves, it's not going to react immediately like a car. Read the wind and current. I'm curious, how long have you been boating and how did you learn? Loved this, I'm going to subscribe to this channel.
Thank you for subscribing! Welcome to our channel! We have been working in the sportfishing industry for 3 years now! We appreciate that 😊 thank you!
Very well done Very talented young & respectful ladies Good luck
So refreshing to see two intelligent, attractive young ladies making videos with their clothes on versus not so bright, not so attractive young ladies wearing barely a bikini in an effort to attract hits. Well done! Can't say I'm as hard on my engines as you were here but you definitely showed folks how to dock safely and that's all that matters. Definitely got my subscription...
Perfect. You did a fantastic job. So many times, I see people rushing to jump off the boat and grabs things they shouldn't. Just let the captain do the docking the correct way, and so many mistakes, injuries and bumps will be avoided. Great job!
Hey @yahama sponsor the Gale Force Twins! The 250's need some love! Docking like a boss! Next business Valet parking supercars in Miami! o,o
Another awesome video with great explanations. Thank you for making this video. You girls are amazing.
A beautifully executed manoeuvre with minimum effort.
4 months in a wheel chair taught me some dual throttle skills .Good video ,as usual.
So great, would love to see these docking maneuvers with a single if you ever get the chance:-) Keep it up. I've docked much larger twin diesels and twins are so nice, the singles are so much more difficult... for me.
Great job! I know MAYBE 2-3 people who can control their boat like that with just the twin engines, and probably zero people who could navigate that waterway without cracking the hull.
Thank you 😄🐟
This is some extreme docking, can't imagine do this by 1 person. Great job!
An easy way to remember which way each motor will push the boat in reverse is. Put one hand on each throttle, stick out your thumbs, that's the way each motor will push the boat in reverse. Opposite for forward.
That's provided the port side motor is counter rotating, which most are. Learn Port vs Starboard and Bow vs Stern. That adds an extra level of professionalism to the overall video and makes it easier to explain which throttle you have in which position. Otherwise Bravo!
Very impressive ladies! Whoever taught you two how to handle a boat deserves a cold one he did a good job.
Awesome job Captains. Your videos are always awesome. We appreciate your expertise! Be safe!
We are glad you enjoy learning from them!! Thank you for watching! 😊
Good boat handling, former Coast Guardsman here ,search and rescue was my speciality, you ladies have it down.
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I have tried to get my 26 ft boat with twin 225 Yamaha's lined up with my boat lift (usually by myself) and I didn't really understand about the better control while backing. This will also come in handy when docking at a restaurant or even getting gas at a crowded marina. I need to spend more time practicing and definitely will watch this video over and over. When the wind or current happens, my tendency is to panic and overcompensate but now I know not to be heavy on the forward throttle. I agree with thegrtwhthunter that it is nice to see two beautiful young ladies educate rather than be exploited in string bikinis!
Thank you so much! We are happy to hear that you found this video helpful 😊 you will get better in no time! Just go as slow as you want to hit the dock
Always nice to watch someone who knows what they are doing docking a boat.
Very nicely and professionally done, I'm learning a lot from you both.
Great job using the sticks!!! very very skillful.
That part of the keys is beautiful
This was so good, I watched it twice.😀
Thank you ladies! Well shot and perfectly executed. I tend to over correct with the wheel. I look forward to trying it your way.
Awesome navigational skills, great twists. You're officially capable of docking a Navy Ship.

One word amazing.
Thank you very much!! 🐟 We hope you enjoyed!
These women are so incredibly talented. Glad I found your channel! 😊
Thank you for your content, I love how instructional you are and not just bikini fishing and guys hooting like it's the first time they hooked a fish. Keep up the great work and your channel will grow and grow.
Thank you! We appreciate that very much 😊🐟
This is great. More docking lessons would be terrific. I boat in a high current river in northern Mass and I was going to name the boat "Can't dock it"
You did an excellent job of this video. Both instruction and filming.
That was awsome i wanna learn how to do that on a windy day😁
Excellent video, definitely learned a ton since my dual engine experience is in the single digit hour range. Would like to point out that the reason that the forward running engine has more influence at lower RPM's is because of the propeller design. The propellers are designed to push water most efficiently going forward through how the water flow is introduced to the blades, the pitch, and the slope and even a small amount of flair at the blade edge. Turned in reverse fashion they do still move water but with nowhere near as much efficiency and thrust as forward. So that's why you need more RPM in reverse to get equal amounts of thrust as the forward running prop. Neat video idea if nobody has done it: Source a sort of junky boat and motor combo (because it just might cavitate and blow up or even break the blades off), mill the propeller down so that it fits on backwards, compare forward performance with it on correctly with reverse as well as driving forward and reverse. Should be awful but entertaining. :-)
You guys deserve way more than 16k subs. Both if you are just amazing
Thank you 😊🐟
They certainly have more than that now. :) Looks like they had to do several takes to get all of the shot angles.
Excellent video
Thank you very much!!
Ces nanas sont vraiment professionnellement au top. Respect.
Not gonna lie I probably would have just reversed down the whole canal lol
and so am i...
That’s why idiots like you shouldn’t be allowed to operate motor vehicles.

@@rcaddict4375 I drive tractor trailers FOH while you drive remote control cars
I once did that😂😂😂
Extremely impressed with the control
Once you get over the intimidation of it all its really easy peasy lemon squeezy....calm cool collected always
Awesome tutorial! I like the saying "Only go as fast as you wanna hit he dock" but if it is windy however you will need much more throttle to be able to maneuver the boat. With my single-engine outboard, I just go towards the dock as fast as I need to have steering ability and then I push the wheel hard over to the dock and put in a short reverse and it will stop all speed/momentum and bring the aft in.
Just like the technique you explained at 10:08 also that tehcnique is necessary if it would be a tight dock with another boat right behind so you would have to go in in a sharper angle
Need to do video on hurricane prep for a boat. Thanks. Be safe.
Thanks for suggestion! Good idea!!
Where this channel been all this years? Thabk you ladies that's very informative
That dock was a thing of beauty. I only have one engine :(. Time for a bigger boat.

You girls are good. A work of art. Most people can't do that. Thank you.
Damn, that was impressive! 👍
That was impressive. Watching the drone view showed just how tight the canal is. Incredible skills. Great channel....
i doubt i'll ever own a boat like this, but i watched anyway for some reason.
I think I know the two reasons.

You two have such a gift of communication and being super clear with instructions... it's refreshing.
Now do the same with a single motor. 😁
Love the content! The two of you do a great job of walking through the steps to docking a boat. I captain a 30ft aluminum boat in with twin outboards in AK and use the same techniques. Hope you have a part 2 planned for other scenarios!

Done and explained/demonstrated beautifully 😎👏🏼
Great use of the throttles and almost a lost art now for most with smaller CC's.
Great channel, great attitudes and awesome content. Will be showing them to my two daughters for inspiration. Cheers!
Fantastic 👏 job ladies, love the new channel.
what I wouldnt give to be in my 20s again and just hang with them,, they are so cool, love these people
LOL In the Army we had LCM & LCU. The LCU was 120 feet and 3 props. It has been too long since I ran one, but you throw one engine in reverse, one in forward and I think you throw the steering the opposite direction you want to go and it would crab side ways into the dock. I think the Army had gotten rid of most LCU.
DAVID HENDRIX
I was on a LCU during a deployment to Haiti. Don't forget about the bow thrusters.GO ARMY !!
@@jeffstock3590 Jeff I ran them for 2 years at Fort Eustis. They had 3 shafts, 3 rudders and 3 throttles. What I recall they were like Mike boats, 2 671 engines coupled to each shaft. It was weird how you would get the 120 boat to crab side ways to the dock. Wheel was thrown to the opposite direction and one throttle was shifted forward or reverse and the other throttle was shifted in the opposite direction and what i recall center throttle in neutral, I looked on goggle several months ago and mist of the boats are gone. I heard the navy has ordered some new LCU.
Seems the Army got rid of the Page. It was a real dog. They rebuilt the bow to a standard bow. Over In south Africa now. marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:755560/mmsi:338864000/imo:9215660/vessel:LTC_JOHN_U_D_PAGE
When I first saw a show of yours I became addicted to the shows immediately, The way you explain everything especially in this film is so educational. I love the part when you said "stop the boat does not mean put it in neutral it means put it in reverse! " than you showed how the boat was completely stopped. Nicely done! I learned something new today.
good job ladies. you could teach some folks.
OK, I already had “Mad Respect” for what you all do and how great the channel is but WOW, I’ve been docking boats for 30 years and I can’t even believe how expertly you both entered the rock filled canal and spun the boat at the dock with only 5 feet of fudge factor. I would bet there are about .0001% of people in this world that could dock that boat as expertly as you just did….”Mad Props!!”. Love the instructional video’s!!
So kind!! Thank you 😊
What I learned most from this video is that if I ever strike it rich and buy a big boat, I'm just gonna hire y'all to captain it for me. #LeaveTheDockingToTheTwins
