Agreed. I feel like they do that with most of their lists. The first one was a huge fucking fail. This one actually had a lot of pretty bad ones, but I think a few like Wolfman they only talked about its poor box office ratings and that it makes it a bad movie, but it absolutely doesn't.
you guys don't even get the juices do you.the reason with The WolfMan remake was terrible because the original film from the 40's didn't have the same exhuming costume design and screenings from the remake it all to much CGI and does not have same story from the original but the reason why its terrible because of its CGI effects and director Joe Johnson forced everybody to use on the set and plus they had to do reshoots on the set as well because he was not the one who came up with the remake look on Wikipedia it tells why there are bad issues in the film and I agree it a bad remake
The Wolf Man wasn't bad, It just wasn't modern. The tone and pacing were fairly consistent with the original. Despite CGI, it was in many ways a rather old-fashioned horror movie - Thus not financially successful.
They only use CGI for the transformations. The rest of the time it was an actual suit. It was a great movie, and the novelization of that movie was even better.
I remember watching The Haunting remake when I was pretty young, my first ever horror and it genuinely really scared me. Since then, I’ve always found supernatural horrors to be my scariest genre and I regard The Haunting as one of my scariest films. I probably wouldn’t feel that way about though had I watched it when I was older and with more horror experience.
that remake wasn't that bad actually, nothing beats the original but still and that's coming from me that I'm picky about the horror films I lay my eye on
+RossieMarrie i actually think it was bad because it didn't have the same story as Tobe Hooper's version did and plus the original film was produced by Steven Spielberg I'm just saying that's why I like the original film
That scene where the woman rips her own jaw off because her mirror image is forcing her to do it was kind of unsettling. Not scary so much as gruesome, though. At least, I've always found there's a difference between being grossed out and being frightened or held in suspense. Lots of so called horror movies make that mistake. Instead of being scared, they just show disturbing imagery of gore. Sure, I understand that there's a market out there for movies like that and there are people who enjoy that kind of thing, but to me, those don't qualify as horror movies. Gore movies, more like. Thirteen ghosts (the remake) is a good example. Never scary but with some gore. Not as much as it could have been, but still.... Mirrors is one of those too.
+Xylarxcode But the word "horror" is closer in meaning to "horrifying" than it is to "suspenseful." Gore can be pretty horrifying and uncomfortable, especially if the effects are good and it looks painful, and if it happens to a likable character. To me, suspense movies don't qualify as horror unless they follow through with something actually bad happening.
I agree totally, they also rely on cheap jumpscares, good horror movies scare you in a creative way. I think Event Horizon is underrated, it scares you into thinking there is a monster, but there is really not one, and the truth is scarier than what your mind could think.
The main differences I've used is Gore horror, jump-scare horror, and the best of the bunch. Dread horror. I love horror/suspense/thriller movies that fill you with a Sense of dread of the upcoming. *IT* did pretty good in this regard. I was more fearful of what was coming next than the actual jump scares.
The problem with horror movies - slasher movies in general - these days is that the characters range from being completely unlikable to so uninteresting that you don't care one way or the other. So you either don't care when they die or you're actually kinda glad they're dead. Horror movies need to create likable characters and memorable characters out of their victims. That way you're genuinely upset and HORRIFIED when they die. Back in the 80s, there were a lot of slasher films and the characters in there weren't exactly going to leave a lasting impression on you - but you didn't hate, they didn't annoy you, and sometimes they actually made you laugh. I've heard people who talk about their favorite kills in Friday the 13th actually give the names of characters that were killed. And everyone knows Nancy from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Laurie Strode from Halloween, and even Sidney from Scream. That's because these characters are memorable and likable. You don't want them to die. You pull for them, you're nervous when they're in dangerous situations, and you FEAR for their lives. Nobody thinks about this these days as people have completely missed the point of horror movies. They just say "We'll put in a ton of blood and gore to make it feel like a horror movie. People are only going to see this because it's date night anyway."
I agree 100% with you , before we had outstanding actors like Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, ... great movie makers/realisators such as Alfred Hitchcock, Romero, Carpenter ,... Glamourous actresses even the teens were likeable . Today what we have is shitty movie realisators that came out of college or something and doesn't know how to make movies at all ( guess they never watched real movies before ) and again the overused oops over abused use of CGI that ruins it all , we have now stupid teen girls that looks more like a porn movie than really being an actress to begin with ,no more emotions are shown at all, and for the actors again the kinda similar guys they take lately and are alway stupid acting. Before we had practical effects who's still beats CGI effect for 200% , com'n fake blood isn't expensive at all , whats wrong with our society lately?! I was a movie nerd loved movies alot owns i think thousands movies , but the movies started to fall drasticaly in 1998 and nowadays in 2015 it is worse and worse. A shiny dvd/bluray cover that you drool for but the movie is shit , this happens with videogames too nice yummy trailers but the game is shit.
defiraphi "glamorous actresses" YEAH. That's another problem right there. The people playing these teenagers are very OBVIOUSLY actors in their mid-30s. Teenagers don't look like models. If I can't even suspend my disbelief in the cast, then how am I supposed to buy anything else that goes on in this movie? Remember the Jason movies where he killed people who - while a little odd at times - seemed like normal people? I remember Jason stabbing some poor fat chick on the side of the road eating a banana. Drugs and premarital sex be damned, Jason's biggest trigger is potassium. Point being, Jason killed people who looked like people. And they were better back then at disguising the fact that their teenagers were actors in their late 20s.
Oh so true, the same with teens in Nightmare of Elmstreet those were in their 20's , look Johhny Depp etc... But strange nowadays new generations people need to be so picky or criticize all so much, wow in my time i'm from 1977 , i watched movies when i could i wasn't even allowed to watch horror movies at 6 years old , yes i'm from Europe but what .... i loved it back then it was to discover all moves naturaly and before had the time to read books to get informed , nowadays movies are ruined by stupid trailers and internet who discover it all , the magic is done . WoW so happy i was when Star Wars came on TV i was thrilled, was so eyes open , even for other movies , all that got ruined . By people that needs more more where it don't need . Yes maybe i'm old 37 but still i remember that my parents forbid me as i guess others too to watch certain movies, so then in the bedroom what left nice books and toys or our own imagination to be the princess or prince or such. Horror movies are nothing more maybe i watched too much of them in not even 15 years old ones as revenge ( hehe ) but the new ones are shit . Look Rec the Spanish version is one of the ratest new horror movies i love it changed the genre then came the aberation of American remake bleh....just read subtitles or learn another language ! I don't care if a movie needs to be or follow the novel is something impossible then a movie would take years ... A movie is like a resume as a book everyone in my time knew this , nowadays people seem not more to read the biggest mistake . First time i watched the first episode of Friday the 13th i was like no sh*t it was that woman the mother uhoh? so many minutes being thrilled knowing it was maybe a shizo guy but no it was " the damn mother" wow brrr ( was thinking some nights what if my mother was a murderer brrr nighmares ) but it was only imaginations knowing it was fiction so i smiled .
+JustinAKABiff I completely agree. I think they do that because they don't want to upset all the casual horror fans... so many people don't want to be the slightest bit upset by a horror movie, they dislike the movie if the likable characters die or if there isn't a happy ending. Idk why people like that even watch horror, but they are a paying audience and I think a lot of cookie cutter horror movies are less "horrific" to please these people.
+JustinAKABiff I agree, but it was a bad example to use Friday the 13th, because almost none of those movies were any good. I don't see why people consider them such "classics". They're ba from the start, & got worse with every installment. The minute they introduce the main character, & the possible secondary one, the rest of the characters are just going to die in some brutal fashion by Jason. That's how every Friday the 13th film is minus the crappy Bay reboot.
@@bronduchene2956 same here. you just have to follow basic "crazy girlfriend" rules and make sure you can always see her hands and preferably take her from behind so she can't easily reach you. Sure, it's dangerous, it's technically necrophilia, and she'll try to kill you after you finish, but with tits like those it's worth it.
I don't think I'd want the Withered Lover in an elevator with me, either, a half burned body, with a sad look on what was left of it's visage, no thank you! And, if it's an angry spirit, I don't want it mistaking ME as a possible target!
@@arthas640 No, I wouldn't mess around with her, either, a ghost driven to suicide, by thoughtless boyfriend's, and, a mistaken body image!? All you'd need to seal your fate, would be ONE ill-considered remark, and, your in for a fatal slashing!
I don't usually comment, but this seemed like an excellent time to speak on better treatment for Werewolves. Remus Lupin, an intelligent man suffering from a terrible affliction, was forced to appear in two horrible horror movie remakes, because he could not find work in the Wizarding World. It is a sad day when a hero is forced to hide out among Muggles just to get work.
I didn't know if I was watching a Friday the 13 movie or a porn with a man in a hockey mask killing. In all seriousness, the remake was good when compared to other remakes (nightmare on elm street/Texas chainsaw)
People always shit on it, but in reality, none of the Friday the 13th films were ever very good. Its personally my favourite Friday the 13th film, because of the updated look and effects
***** Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the Friday the 13th films very much, but it doesn't make them great films. I think Jason X may have been the first Friday the 13th film I saw, excluding Freddy vs Jason. It also has one of my favourite kills in horror cinema; the liquid nitrogen head-smash.
I seriously don't understand the hate for the Friday the 13th remake? Like, it felt like how a Friday the 13th movie feels. Cheesy, over the top, and all about Jason. I get the feeling people who hated it aren't fans of the franchise.
Shaderaygun I thought Friday the 13th was a great remake. While it's not a popular opinion, I liked it more than the sequel (I say sequel because in my eyes if it doesn't have Jason's mother as the villain, it's not a remake of the original) because it made Jason out to be smarter. In the original sequel he slowly hobbled towards his victims and only managed to kill them because of their stupidity, if any of them were able to run more than 40 feet without tripping over themselves then Jason wouldn't have ever killed anyone and nobody would give a shit. Where-as in the remake, he had his own little set-up and routine going on for killing people, he stalked them and picked them off and he wouldn't rely on his targets being retarded in order to kill them, because realistically a serial killer wouldn't piss around when they're trying to kill somebody because if they escape, that's it, you're done for. Granted, it had its flaws, but I think it was a great movie and I'm disappointed that it didn't get any sequels. I think the Halloween Remakes should have been on this list, those were fucking pathetic.
I enjoyed like almost all of them. And are you kidding me? "When a Stranger Calls" was actually really good and even scary. I also love "Black Christmas", "House of Wax" and especially "The Hitcher".
"When A Stranger Calls" wasn't terrible, but about 80% of the film was red herrings and jump scares. It was also difficult to believe in terms of how the killer knew the girl was going to be in an isolated house in the middle of nowhere. The PG-13 rating didn't help either.
Excuse me, but my heart would disagree about jump scares not being scary. Thanks for the horror industry being so bland and copy/paste, i got scared shitless, in an annoying way. I'm 16, if i was alive when horrors were well thought out and spooky, instead of "BOOOO! I HOPE I FUCKED YOU UP" like they are nowdays, i might not make a fool of myself.
+Henry Rahardja TH13RTEEN ghosts is an interesting update on the original with decent effects and set design!! I found mirrors to be fairly suspenseful as well !!
Because they are good looking. :-) So unrealistic when you have a nerd that no woman would date that looks like a model. Though i guess in the horror movie world where every one looks like a model unless they are evil, then yes he wouldnt have a date.
Conan Caven My question is why though? what's wrong with more normal looking better actors. Plus they are horror movies not date movies so why does it matter if they hook up in the movie?
Charlie Drummond Older movies were realistic. People looked normal and you could relate to point. The nerd that didnt get girls looked like a nerd. Not a model with a six pack. But then we did get to see Paris Hilton die with a spike through her head so thats good. :-)
The best modern day horror movie is Prometheus say what you will about its numerous plot holes but at least the C-Section scene can get actual scares out of you
Why hate on The Wolfman? I thought it was a really well made remake. It’s basically taking on a horror classic and reinventing it into a Victorian era Gothic-style horror flick. I think the only reason why it flopped and why critics hate it is just because of the stupid Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf trend of scary monsters being just a bunch of male Calvin Klein underwear models. Does anyone agree?
As a horror film fan, it pisses me off when classics are remade, when no one asks for them, simply as a cash grab, devoiding said remake of any scares just to get a PG-13 rating, adding CGI when it wasn't required of the original nor necessary, Michael Bay having to jump into the cesspool by producing some of the remakes, and...adding insult to injury...the remake is commercially successful, giving Hollywood more reasons to remake more classics when, again, NO ONE ASKS FOR THEM! Seriously, how hard is it to not support a remake by simply staying home and watching the original?
You can't fully say remakes are cash grabs. A lot of the classics have terrible sequels on top of other terrible sequels. Horror has long since been a cash cow just like Found Footage films are today and some of those being horror as well like Paranormal Activity.
John Klein Remaking films aren't cash grabs exclusive to the horror genre. Hollywood seems content on remaking everything from other genres of film to TV shows and board games. I'm waiting for the eventual movie adaptation of Hungry Hungry Hippos LOL I just saw the trailer to the remake of Poltergeist. What a sad state of affairs if the remake is a hit, huh?
Emlyn Owen It seems that to fulfill my need of seeing a decent horror movie these days that is of an original idea, as with most genres, seeing independent/foreign films are the way to go. Last year, I saw some good ones like Julia, Afflicted, The Babadook, Under the Skin, Proxy, and Borgman. I subscribe to various YT channels that post mostly horror film trailers and those are what keeps me in the loop in terms of what indie/foreign horror films are slated to be released. For every one decent original horror film that the major studio puts out like The Cabin in the Woods, indie/foreign studios release films such as the ones that I mentioned above. I don't waste my eyesight on PG-13 BS like Ouija and The Pyramid, and frankly I'm growing tired of the Paranormal Activity franchise.
I enjoyed 13 ghosts and Mirrors. The horror movie remakes I hate are the ones that the remake is just a comedy instead of a horror like the original movie.
Spawn Cap Funny how it’s almost the opposite with The Evil Dead being a horror with comedic elements (with Evil Dead 2 going full horror comedy) to the Evil Dead remake going complete horror.
@@NurAlmuhtadi thats the only thing i didnt like about the Evil Dead remake; the original had some humor even when it was being horrific and blended horror and comedy without going full comedy and knew how to balance the two perfectly. The remake didn't have the same skill so even though it was pretty good it felt a little flat since it felt like they'd taken all the humor out of it. It's a bit like someone did a very good remake of the Mona Lisa but since the new artist is partially colorblind they did it with only 2 out of the 3 primary colors, leaving it a little washed out looking.
House of Wax was only a loose remake of the 1950's version. They have the same name and is slightly based off the original, but it wasn't supposed to be an exact remake. I personally really like the movie :/
I saw House of Wax for the first time yesterday, and I'm not going to lie about how much I enjoyed it. I have really low expectations for any film I watch and I'm a complete addict when it comes to unnecessary gore or horror. So I actually found it pretty good - if you want a bloody but funny horror film, you should try it out ^_^
Worst remake I had to sit through was the 2015 Poltergeist. I would explain all that is wrong with it but that would require me to actually rewatch that train wreck again.
thehmph1 he didn't say anything about jump scares but are you seriously implying jump scares are new to horror movies? they been around since black and white early days
it wasnt as good as the original but still a good movie. the only complaints i had were the film was a little dark, i had a hard time seeing what was going on in some scenes, and that it ran a little long. If they'd trimmed down the run time a little it would have been a great movie. It's definitely not "Worst Horror" worthy
+j-dizzle time - Agree about Wolfman. I'm a big fan of the original (along with a lot of old classics) but I thought the remake was entertaining and relatively creepy.
To some it's enough that it was made. I don't know how many times I have heard people say a remake is terrible because the original is a classic but without being able to say any more than that.
I thought it was a really well made remake. It’s basically taking on a horror classic and reinventing it into a Victorian era Gothic-style horror flick. I think the only reason why it flopped and why critics hate it is just because of the stupid Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf trend of scary monsters being just a bunch of male Calvin Klein underwear models for puberty-triggering teenagers. Does anyone agree?
It was ether that or he was horny for a girl. Because there was a friendly zombie in the original so we are just gonna throw out the reasons why and make up shit ones because we is so smrt.
I agree! The original Halloween and The Fog are 2 of my all time favorite movies! A Nightmare on Elm Street (original ) is an awesome movie as well. I REALLY disliked the remakes!
Halloween sequel to the remake wasn't that bad, and the remake is only terrible because of the unwanted backstory of the first 3rd of the movie, if you start the movie after the first act it is pretty descent, the fog remake has no redeeming qualities though
Black Christmas (2006) was actually a really good remake. It gave the killer, Billy, a decent and interesting backstory. Plus, the cast was quite amazing.
Mirrors freaked me out when I was younger. I fact it freaked me out so much that I still get kind of scared at looking at one when I'm alone at night and I'm 17. It's not as bad now but I still get this eerie feeling in my gut.
I saw it wen I was 3 or 4 and I didn't think it wasn't scary but I still enjoyed it even without knowing the plot and reason 4 the ghosts. I think I liked it cuz 1 of the actors played shaggy in scooby doo
The remake of Friday The 13th was a Friday The 13th movie. It had sex, partying teenagers, Jason murdering people, and creative deaths. It was in no way bad. And if you say it's bad due to story, well, have you SEEN a Friday The 13th movie? The point of Friday The 13th is for Jason to kill people.
That's where the phrase campy came from, it's silly. The whole series is kinda silly, which is why I dont understand why people get so upset over a bad sequel, but a bad remake is kinda the END. So I understand why the remake is hated, cause it was supposed to breathe new life into a dead series and it failed.
my opinion is that friday the 13th and wolfman shouldnt be here friday the 13th wasnt even bad wolfman i could kinda understand as a true friday the 13th fan i dont get why call it bad
*sees house of wax* "aww i remember that, it has jared padalecki in it-" *sees friday the 13th (2009)* "wait so does that-" Okay so basically what im saying is dont cast him in horror movie remakes.
The worst horror re-make of all time was John Carpenter's Village of the Dammed! Treat yourself to the original 1960 B&W British film. Man those were some creepy kids!!!!
I remember when House of Wax came out and they had promotion saying, "PARIS HILTON DIES!" And I will admit that I was really intrigued and wanted to go see it. Then I found out that her CHARACTER dies and I just didn't care anymore...
House of Wax's remake was actually better than most people say it is. Paris wasn't half bad... she was the dumb blonde which is in every horror movie. But, they hated the movie because of her and that's not fair. The original isn't my favorite thing in the world honestly. Friday the 13th wasn't to bad, except that it wasn't a remake technically... I mean his mother was the first killer in the original. But still it wasn't bad.Better than Nightmare, and I liked it too... The Island of Dr. Moreau... I've never seen either one so... no comment. Or The Wolfman for that matter.... The Hitcher actually is one of my favorite remakes... lol. It did it differently, nothing wrong with that.... seems like people get pissed if they keep it the same, but if they change an original in the remake, they're wrong too... make up your minds. Black Christmas is actually one of my favorite horror movies of all-time... and I watch it every Halloween... and every Christmas... whoops. The Haunting this one I will 100% agree with you on this one... Day of the Dead I admit, the veggie zombie thing was ridiculous, but still over-all not that bad... I guess... The Eye... I love Jessica Alba in a lot.... but this was not one of her finer performances. Thir13en Ghosts is AMAZING.... back off my movie Mojo...seriously.... I loved that movie as a kid, and I was never easy to scare, but that one gave me nightmares... badly. Mirrors I actually really liked too, plus that bathroom scene... Amy Smart didn't do too bad... The Stepfather is actually another one that I absolutely love, granted I've never watched the original, but I love the remake. Ahhh.... When a Stranger Calls... so many bad reviews... personally, her acting... was mediocre at best, but still... I hate the original.
I actually really liked the 2009 Friday the 13th remake... I don't even know why. It has loads of gory kills and that's basically all I was there for. ^_^

Come on we need them both to want to be in movies. Or else Supernatural is going to be run into the ground by season 20. They already battled a massive amount of demons, vampires, werewolves, the devil, the darkness, found god, saved god from his sister, fought the devil over his spawn, fought the British, and finally had their dead mom come back to life. The show needs to find an awesome final story and go out on a high note; Not die on the fire of low ratings.
***** As a long time Friday the 13th fan, you are absolutely right! I don't know what everyone's problem was, ok it wasn't perfect and it was capitalising on the fame of Jason rather then actually remaking the original however, it had a few likable characters such as the two token ethnics and Sam Winchester, it paid homage to the first three films by having Jason start out as a child, do his next set of killing with the potato sack from part 2 and find his infamous hockey mask at the barn from part 3 - They found a clever way to explain Jason's magical teleporting abilities with the underground tunnels and kept the spirit of his character while updating how it all worked - The characters who were assholes got what they had coming to them and it all gelled together with a decent onslaught of sex, violence and Supernatural (Seriously, I'm sure Sam is just deluded and thinks Dean is a girl now) - It's everything good about a Friday the 13th film and is seriously underrated. Oh, and it taught as all the most important lesson we could possibly learn about Jason - DO NOT TOUCH HIS WEED!
That finale with the house melting still holds up and looks great on camera. Paris didn't give an Oscar winning performance no but this was a slasher flick ffs lol what were people expecting? She acted as good as the rest of the cast.
@@konobuzoggu239 i think it wasnt boring so much as bloated, if they'd trimmed it down a little it would have made for a much better movie. The film was about 105 minutes but would have been much better and more exciting if they'd gotten it down closer to 90 minutes. The film also did have the "2000s horror" problem of being way too dark, which didnt help but was pretty standard for the time.
I thought it was a really well made remake. It’s basically taking on a horror classic and reinventing it into a Victorian era Gothic-style horror flick. Oh come on seriously you've rated the Wolfman as one of the worst remakes? The 1937 version with Lon Chaney was a great movie I have it on blu ray and I also have the remake with Del Toro. the remake shows what happened to his brother that the original didn't, It also shows why the gypsies was fearful of Del Toro Wolfman, but wasn't Del Toro. it of course was his father. This tells the story about his mother what happened to her ect ect ect. The only thing that was different was in the original apart from the father wasn't the werewolf it was Bella the gypsy played by Bella lagosi. of course their was also Gwen Conlith, in the original she was the daughter of a brick. rac shop, where as the remake she was engaged to the murdered brother. the original was only about 68 mins long the remake about 2 hours long, as the had to make it appealing to a new generation which is why it was reinvented. "Even a man who is pure at heart and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms and the Autumn moon is bright". I love the Halloween genre so I think The Wolfman place should be given to Halloween 2 remake as that was a puss poor film which Rob Zombie ruined. good night and sweet nightmares 😱
You know you're in serious trouble when Paris Hilton is actually one of the more appealing characters in a film. And damned if that isn't the case with "House of Wax"... By the way, though, the 1950s "House of Wax" was itself a remake of the 1930s "Mystery of the Wax Museum", which is also well worth watching....
I dunno about that. The Poltergeist seems like a movie that's a bit appropriate for a remake. The original is great and can never be topped, but I don't think a remake will hurt it. Poltergeist is sort of a "first horror movie" for a lot of people as children. Introducing it to a new generation isn't such a bad idea. The trailer doesn't look very scary but, as an adult, the movie kind of stops being scary anyways.
Black and white is not always better, I do not consider myself expert , but I have quite hight measures for good movie. Wolfman is well made remake, of course there are some silly scenes, but I have really enjoyed it and why to even compare it with original !? For me its good movie and could be enjoyed even more with impressions and concepts free mind ! I truly enjoy some of watchmojo stuff, like best rock songs, groups, guitars etc, but there are some stuff with clearly too much getting stuck in "I know it all" attitude..simply too much "egotistic watchmojo". This list is one of those !
Zoran Ramzo Kamenycky the Wolfman remake for me was ridiculous, I literally busted out laughing in the theater during both actors transformations and asked why they reused the werewolf costume from teen wolf on it. It had zero tension build, in my opinion, and was very unevenly paced. The fluffiness and campy makeup of the werewolves is still a running joke for 2 of my friends and me.
Zoran Ramzo Kamenycky Thank you! I personally love this remake. When you remake a movie you don't just copy the story but with different actors, if you do that, you might as well just watch the original. They retold the story and made it their own, whilst using the film for inspiration and a few nods to the original, like the cane Lawrence is given is the same in both this and the original. Plus it was well done because there was passion behind it. The actor who played Lawrence in the remake said he watched the original when he was young which inspired him to make a tribute to it. It doesn't deserve to be on this list at all.
Half of them on this list weren't bad. House of Wax was only deemed bad so people could make fun of Paris which honestly I hate her and she nor the movie were bad. Thirteen Ghosts was better than the original which I couldn't sit through. The Friday the 13th remake wasn't bad at all(short of cliches from some of the characters). The Hitcher and Day of the Dead were also not THAT bad.
"Number ten, house of wax" Me: damn it Jared not again! "Number nine, Friday the thirteenth" Me: that's it, Jared go to the corner of shame and think about what you've done!
It's pretty sad to see that all of the first comments on any video are all un-original grabs at attention. No comments contribute to the video anymore, no one wants to actually discuss what happened in the video, it's just the whole 'me' mentality. Everyone wants a piece of the attention action. It's a joke. There's no reason to even look at the comments anymore, every video has the same garbage. Side note: it is impossible to 'hack' a comment so that no one can like it. Please, for the love of GOD, PLEASE STOP LIKING THOSE COMMENTS WHICH CLAIM THAT. PLEASE.
I'm not gonna lie, I went into the Friday the 13th remake with super low expectations and had a great time. No it's not a fantastic film by any stretch, but it was if nothing else pretty solidly enjoyable.
I never saw the '86 Hitcher, but I liked the '07 one with Sean Bean. What really baffles me is that there has been an actual occurrence in time in which a zombie doesn't like to eat meat. Are you insane? That's like a serial killer supporting non-violence.
Payton Lee he was the only reason I watched it on Netflix. I was utterly disappointed with his acting. Thank god he had Supernatural to fall into and grow as an actor.
Old Friday the 13th: people trip over nothing, Jason just automatically knows where people are, walks so slow yet can catch up to running people, has not the best kills, and is kinda cheese ball New Friday the 13th: Jason actually runs, he finds people based on traps he sets, people trip because they got their foot stuck in a bear trap, and he killed someone by putting them in a sleeping bag and burning them to death in it.
I guess u haven’t seen many Friday 13th movies cause Jason runs in the earlier movies. Also the fact that Jason, who has been living alone in the forest with the whole world assuming him dead, is as much as an expert on traps as much as Rambo is rather unbelievable
@@thekurg4810 he isn't. It isn't that hard to set simple traps and yes I know he runs in the earlier movies, I just meant as a whole. Dude you don't need to get so mad it's just a movie 😂 also that comment was from two years ago 😂
Umm Excuse me... The Friday the 13th Remake is awesome, In fact it's one of my favorite Horror movies, definitely my favorite of the franchise! The main group of, lets call them "Jason Bait" aren't the most likable, but characters such as Lawrence and Chewie, were awesome, It has Danielle Panabaker (probably now most known for playing Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost in The Flash) and to top it off, it's main protagonist is Sam Freaking Winchester! I'd also like to add that it has the most hardcore Jason ever. Unlike previous Jason's that slowly stalks victims, this Jason doesn't hold back, he flat out runs at them, and he doesn't just kill them either. Jason traps one victim in a way that makes them slowly and brutally burn to death, instead of the normal instant kills he is normally known for, and another victim is used as bait to lure others first. Normal Jason has enhanced strength and is nearly invincible which makes him really scary, now add some brains to him too... that's fucking terrifying! Man I love this movie!
Jason ran in the original series too. Kane hodder tended to portray jason as slow and lumbering, but the other actors portrayed him faster. He ran in parts 2 and 3 at least and a couple others.
my list for this would be #1 Psycho 1998 #2 Halloween 2007 By Rob Zombie #3 Halloween 2 2009 also Rob Zombie #4 A Nightmare On Elm Street 2010 #5 The Omen 2006 #6 The Thing 2011 #7 Evil Dead 2013 well that one i have mixed feelings about it's a 50/50 for me on this one #8 The Shining Tv Mini Series Movie #9 Friday The 13th 2009 #10 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003
What's so bad in Psycho? It didn't try to make up a sad background story for the murderer (Makes it look more pitiful than scary) like other remakes do! Just tried to do the same with bad actors.
it's all shot for shot scenes for sene word for word everything from beginning to end is the exact same thing it has changed but the changes are so little and almost unnoticeable and i'm like this is the same as the 1960 film and this is just lazy thye didn't even change anything and it's like i'm wasting my time and i'm gonna go for the 1960 film and another thing i hate about it is why pick vince vaughn as norman bates i like the guy but him as norman i don't see it when i see him as norman bates i'm not scared of him i just want to laugh XD LOL now look at anthony perkins as norman when i see him as norman i do feel sorry for him and at the same time i feel scared but for vince vaughn not so much cus they did not try to make him look innocent and normal to begin with and then have the twist of him being a psycho at the end no you can tell that is is a nut job right from the get go wow great suspense movie >=( now do you get what i'm saying.
House of wax was not that bad. Friday the 13th (remake) is tied in my opinion with the first and second Friday the 13th movie. I hate when people pretend that the other Friday the 13th movies were good. And finally the Wolfman. Really? bad you say? I can compare it to the atrocious acting of the original and the boring flow of the movie but Anthony Hopkins steals any scene he's in no matter who it is.
I’ve seen the kill count of Black Christmas and I think it’s awful. For one thing in that movie why would a mother have sex with her son to have a daughter and have the son eat disgusting cookies from his dead mother?? Ech!!!!
13 Ghosts was campy, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Especially with the backstories for each ghost that they put on the DVD
Daniel Moeller yes I agree I loved the movie it was one of my favorites also I watched the features a ton I loved the stories also.
I enjoyed it too, but i always like a campy horror movie. Like the original Elm Street movies, compared to the remake.
Damn right
Same here!! When I saw how each of the ghosts died while they were human, I felt sorry for them!! Some of the ways they died were pretty gross!!
it was okay, just wished some of the ghosts would've had a bigger role in it
then again, if they had, no one would've survived
Watching Paris Hilton die makes House of Wax incredible.
this is one good reason
i loved the music still listen to the score
I went to the movies to see it. Everyone, and I mean everyone, cheered when she died XD It was amazing!!
Amen.
I purposely went to the comment section in hopes that someone said exactly this
The Wolfman remake is pretty good, I think they only put it on this list because it wasn't a huge hit. They didnt even explain why they disliked it
That's what WatchMojo is all about. They make low effort clickbait videos to score a quick buck.
"Tedious and stupid, we can only hoped they had a fun time on set, since nobody watching this will"
BEST SHADE EVER!!!!
The only good thing to come from the remake of The Haunting, was material to make fun of in Scary Movie 2.
So true!
Most of the movies on this and the original list, made some damn good contributions to he scary movie franchise.
Hayley Moody I feel the same way about the original, it’s absolutely horrifying.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw the skeleton XD
you missed The remake of poltergaist ... again
that remake wasn't that bad actually, nothing beats the original but still and that's coming from me that I'm picky about the horror films I lay my eye on
+RossieMarrie i actually think it was bad because it didn't have the same story as Tobe Hooper's version did and plus the original film was produced by Steven Spielberg I'm just saying that's why I like the original film
The remake was t even really a horror movie just a shit movie
Reid 1408 I love the original too.. nothing beats the original
The list came out first
That scene where the woman rips her own jaw off because her mirror image is forcing her to do it was kind of unsettling.
I agree with you Xylarxcode
I actually enjoyed the remake of when a stranger calls
I agree totally, they also rely on cheap jumpscares, good horror movies scare you in a creative way. I think Event Horizon is underrated, it scares you into thinking there is a monster, but there is really not one, and the truth is scarier than what your mind could think.
The main differences I've used is
Gore horror, jump-scare horror, and the best of the bunch.
I actually liked 13 Ghosts. Not a single one of those ghosts (bar the mother) would I like to be stuck in an elevator with, not a one!
i wouldnt mind the bloody princess
@@bronduchene2956 same here. you just have to follow basic "crazy girlfriend" rules and make sure you can always see her hands and preferably take her from behind so she can't easily reach you. Sure, it's dangerous, it's technically necrophilia, and she'll try to kill you after you finish, but with tits like those it's worth it.
I loved it
I don't think I'd want the Withered Lover in an elevator with me, either, a half burned body, with a sad look on what was left of it's visage, no thank you!
The Wolfman remake really wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed it
Yeah it was really good I’ve watched it like 5 times
Yea it was ok just boring unfortunately.
I late to say this, but I enjoyed it too
i liked 13 ghosts
Me too.
Thirteen Ghosts was good mainly because of the badassery of the Jackal and the Juggernaut
+hiccup james And Tony Shalhoub.
It was actually kind of fun, except for Matthew Lillard's horrible performance.
I did too
I have to say that adding the Friday the 13th remake to this list was unnecessary. I didn't think it was THAT awful.
I did
I didn't know if I was watching a Friday the 13 movie or a porn with a man in a hockey mask killing. In all seriousness, the remake was good when compared to other remakes (nightmare on elm street/Texas chainsaw)
I liked it as well. not as good as the rest of the series, but hardly the worst remake out there.
Ditto!
agreed
Shaderaygun I share your feeling, bro
Shaderaygun Huge fan of the series, went to the midnight showing for the remake, one of the few movies I've walked out on
I enjoyed like almost all of them. And are you kidding me? "When a Stranger Calls" was actually really good and even scary. I also love "Black Christmas", "House of Wax" and especially "The Hitcher".
True.
"When A Stranger Calls" wasn't terrible, but about 80% of the film was red herrings and jump scares. It was also difficult to believe in terms of how the killer knew the girl was going to be in an isolated house in the middle of nowhere. The PG-13 rating didn't help either.
Horror movies are barely even scary anymore. Just mostly a load of jump scares and no suspense.
I agree.
I jump at the jumpscares because they are surprising and loud as fuck. I wouldn't call them scary when they are so predictable
***** that movie sucked.
The Babadook and all James Wan horrors shows there are still good movies made in the genre
I only watched House of Wax & Friday the 13th for Jared Padalecki
Same here!
+Lillith Gold I agree. I saw them back-to-back on this list and thought, "Oh, Sam." LOL
me too though
I watched ´House of Wax’ because of Elisha Cuthbert
Yep, that's the only good part of house of "crap". I didn't mind friday the 13th though 😊
imo Thirteen Ghosts is pretty fun and the remake of Mirrors is so much better than the original Korean version which laughably bad
+Henry Rahardja TH13RTEEN ghosts is an interesting update on the original with decent effects and set design!! I found mirrors to be fairly suspenseful as well !!
Why are 99% of modern horror movies cast good looking teens who can't act?
Because they are good looking. :-) So unrealistic when you have a nerd that no woman would date that looks like a model. Though i guess in the horror movie world where every one looks like a model unless they are evil, then yes he wouldnt have a date.
Conan Caven My question is why though? what's wrong with more normal looking better actors.
Plus they are horror movies not date movies so why does it matter if they hook up in the movie?
Charlie Drummond
Older movies were realistic. People looked normal and you could relate to point. The nerd that didnt get girls looked like a nerd. Not a model with a six pack. But then we did get to see Paris Hilton die with a spike through her head so thats good. :-)
i'd say it's because you don't feel bad when they die.in fact, you hope for it.
The best modern day horror movie is Prometheus say what you will about its numerous plot holes but at least the C-Section scene can get actual scares out of you
I thought the new Wolfman movie was great so...
Same.
Agreed
you guys must'v been really high when you saw it
One of the most boring poorly written things ive ever seen, I was so hyped for it too, it had such a badass trailer then turns out to be shit.
Same
Wolfman was a cool movie, not great by any means, but not terrible.
And Friday the 13th is one of the more enjoyable remakes.
I liked The Wolfman also.
with ya there BROTHER
Plus the Wolfman remake also has a good fight between wolf vs wolf and it was very enjoyable
No they werent
I'm waiting for the eventual movie adaptation of Hungry Hungry Hippos LOL
I just saw the trailer to the remake of Poltergeist. What a sad state of affairs if the remake is a hit, huh?
***** hollywood is full of a pansies too afraid of an original story these days.
***** I totally agree with you :-)
Emlyn Owen It seems that to fulfill my need of seeing a decent horror movie these days that is of an original idea, as with most genres, seeing independent/foreign films are the way to go.
So I actually found it pretty good - if you want a bloody but funny horror film, you should try it out ^_^
I agree, Iaughed my ass off watching that movie
the only thing that made me hate it more than I should was Paris Hilton and how bad her death was...
the only reason i liked it was because My Chemical Romance at the end credits.
Noa Plaza-Gibson good for you.
FooeyMcgooey thanks Samuel L Jackson from pulp fiction
But I like Thirteen Ghosts. :L
Ya me too
The house is cool. I like the ghosts back stories.
Becky Finnegan Exactly my point. :)
XtraCrispy220 I love it to I grow up watching the movie ever since I was a little kid.
XtraCrispy220 I did to and how is Thirteen Ghost a Remake
Worst remake I had to sit through was the 2015 Poltergeist. I would explain all that is wrong with it but that would require me to actually rewatch that train wreck again.
i did not bother to even watch it like the new freddy one no thanks stop remaking movies that are already awesome i say.
I dont like the original poltergeist i'm sorry...but i really enjoyed watching poltergeist 2015 remake
Rollz3 I can definitely agree the 2015 version was OK 1982 is the winner.
A true horror fan knows a good horror movie. This list is for casuals.
you tell'em
thehmph1 I'm pretty sure OP wasn't saying jump scares were what make horror films. How did you even come to that conclusion?
***** right? I didn't even say that. Idc what he thinks. Jump scares are great imo because they make you jump and scream. It's simple and effective.
thehmph1 he didn't say anything about jump scares but are you seriously implying jump scares are new to horror movies? they been around since black and white early days
Ralphie Wiggum Honestly I'd rather be scared by something that isn't cheap and lazy like startling a human being. That's just me, though.
I think Wolfman was actually one of my favorite remakes tbh
Mine too, I dont understand why this movie gets so much shit
Agree Wolfman is way underrated, Hopkins and Del Toro were good, it is unpredictable, and the cgi at the time was not bad.
i totally agree . only an incompetant would find this movie to be bad
The critics were definitely wrong there. The acting and effects place it above the original in my view.
it wasnt as good as the original but still a good movie. the only complaints i had were the film was a little dark, i had a hard time seeing what was going on in some scenes, and that it ran a little long. If they'd trimmed down the run time a little it would have been a great movie. It's definitely not "Worst Horror" worthy
I love the remake of Thirteen Ghost, granted I also hate the original.
+EyeHeartThePanda yh i agreed with their list until they mentioned 13 ghosts, i loved that movie ^^
wolfman was a good movie. mirrors was alright too
But they sure got The Haunting right. That should've been no.1.
+j-dizzle time - Agree about Wolfman. I'm a big fan of the original (along with a lot of old classics) but I thought the remake was entertaining and relatively creepy.
+sltayo I agree with all of you. The Wolfman does NOT belong on this list.
The Wolfman is great. Its hated just because its only a remake
But I liked the Wolfman remake.... you didn't even fully explain why you thought it was bad..... *sob
+Saydou - kun! Stay strong Saydou-kun, I liked the new Wolfman too :3
To some it's enough that it was made. I don't know how many times I have heard people say a remake is terrible because the original is a classic but without being able to say any more than that.
@@Ryanrocksthebass I liked it. Great makeup effects!
Wait wait wait...a Vegetarian Zombie? That's possibly the dumbest thing i've ever heard.
+Jason Hayes well, you ever played zombie vs plant ?
yeah I having trouble with that too
In the movie when you become a zombie you keep one characteristic of yourself.
XD I KNOW RIGHT VEGAN GAINS BACK AT AGAIN WITH THE 'I'm gonna use my life savings to make a movie'
It was ether that or he was horny for a girl. Because there was a friendly zombie in the original so we are just gonna throw out the reasons why and make up shit ones because we is so smrt.
Dont care what anyone says, Wolfman (2010) was fucking awesome
I agree too! im not a werewolf fan but it was a good movie!
_The Fog_'s and _Halloween_'s remakes truly are an insult to Mr Carpenter's as well as _Nightmare On Elm Street_'s
Max Cady I liked the original version of both movies better, too.
Max Cady I prefer the remakes
Max Cady the Halloween remakes are BAD... if you’re watching the Director’s Cuts. The Theatrical Cuts I found to be solid ngl
I personally like thir13n ghosts but oh well
I really liked it! That's one of those movies that I can watch over and over again.
i had no idea it was a remake of something else
I saw it wen I was 3 or 4 and I didn't think it wasn't scary but I still enjoyed it even without knowing the plot and reason 4 the ghosts. I think I liked it cuz 1 of the actors played shaggy in scooby doo
I love that movie, was probably my first proper horror I saw as a kid (I was 10 when it came out)
Is it written like that? Thir13n? By Zeus, i can't even...
As for the movie, i have not seen it, so no comments.
In conclusion, they get old really fast.
Ace Master Shady agreed
Ace Master Shady The original three Friday the 13 were the best only unlike the remake
I agree, it's the best remake movie ever! Even 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street is the best as well!
That's where the phrase campy came from, it's silly. The whole series is kinda silly, which is why I dont understand why people get so upset over a bad sequel, but a bad remake is kinda the END. So I understand why the remake is hated, cause it was supposed to breathe new life into a dead series and it failed.
I actually didn't mind The Wolfman remake... in a guilty pleasure kind of way. Can't argue with the others on this list though.
On Black Christmas: "We can only hope they had fun on set, knowing nobody who watches it will"
BEST SHADE EVER!!!
I know what we’ll do. Let’s make black Christmas again in 2019! Genius
The 1953 House of Wax is also a remake. The original one came out in 1933 under a slightly different title. Check your facts WM
lol
You can still remake a remake. Not that big of a deal :\
ShakenmikeGaming They called the first remake "the original", which is wrong.
That's what I said. Besides, this isn't even a remake of House of Wax. It is NOTHING like it. It just has the same bloody title, for some reason.
How do you know that was apart of the same franchise
Wolfman was awesome
+Christopher Grathwohl I'm one of the few who thinks it's actually better than the Lon Cheney original.
+Christopher Grathwohl I agree. I only recently discovered that the movie wasn't liked, I loved it.
my opinion is that friday the 13th and wolfman shouldnt be here friday the 13th wasnt even bad wolfman i could kinda understand as a true friday the 13th fan i dont get why call it bad
Yeah wolfman was good and just brought back the feeling of an older horror movie
I love the Wolfman, it was the best horror Movie, I've ever seen.
*sees house of wax*
"aww i remember that, it has jared padalecki in it-"
*sees friday the 13th (2009)*
"wait so does that-"
Okay so basically what im saying is dont cast him in horror movie remakes.
Sam should stay on Supernatural lol
The worst horror re-make of all time was John Carpenter's Village of the Dammed! Treat yourself to the original 1960 B&W British film. Man those were some creepy kids!!!!
I remember when House of Wax came out and they had promotion saying, "PARIS HILTON DIES!" And I will admit that I was really intrigued and wanted to go see it. Then I found out that her CHARACTER dies and I just didn't care anymore...
Elisha Cuthbert is the only quality that movie has worth seeing.
As with all their lists, this is way off... Wolfman is a descent movie, Thirtheen Ghosts was good too. These people has some serious issues.
neil these are voted on by real people on watchmojo.com It’s not just some dude making up these lists.
I actually really liked the 2009 Friday the 13th remake... I don't even know why. It has loads of gory kills and that's basically all I was there for. ^_^

Sammy what are you doin??? YOU"RE IN THE WRONG THING GET BACK TO SUPERNATURAL
I forgot he was even in this
I was just wondering...
That piece of sh*t remake of House of Wax came out about 4 months before the airing of Supernatural's 1st season.
Actually Friday the 13th was Awesome!!!
Actually Friday the 13th was critically panned, and your opinion means jackshit.
garner montgomery meant something to you to share your two cents
***** Good one
IKR!!!
House of Wax wasn't even that bad.
It wasn't.
+Kai Lyman Bullshit...it was so bad with no story I just wanted somebody to melt it the fuck out of my memory with some good purple kush and chanti.
really? that piece of crap? I think most people saw that movie just to see Paris Hilton die, I'm on of those
It was pretty damn awful and when compared to the 1953 Vincent Price version, or even the original 1933 film, it's even more terrible.
Andrew Ford It did have a story.
House Of Wax had some brilliant special effects especially the end scene and the acting including Paris was actually decent.
Creg u look cute
That finale with the house melting still holds up and looks great on camera. Paris didn't give an Oscar winning performance no but this was a slasher flick ffs lol what were people expecting? She acted as good as the rest of the cast.
Dan Lew i texted why did you not accept my invitation on hangouts
I have no idea what hangouts is
+Dan Lew I actually enjoy this movie
Agh that fucking jaw tear scene... I just... ugh...
I will not look into a mirror for years
Yeah it was pretty disgusting...
that was just fucked up
oh come on the wolfman remake was not that bad
i found it kinda boring, but still half decent
@@konobuzoggu239 i think it wasnt boring so much as bloated, if they'd trimmed it down a little it would have made for a much better movie. The film was about 105 minutes but would have been much better and more exciting if they'd gotten it down closer to 90 minutes. The film also did have the "2000s horror" problem of being way too dark, which didnt help but was pretty standard for the time.
I agree!! I really enjoyed it adapted in the Victorian England.
They did have deleted scenes which were good but probably cut for the runtime
I thought it was a really well made remake. It’s basically taking on a horror classic and reinventing it into a Victorian era Gothic-style horror flick. I think the only reason why it flopped and why critics hate it is just because of the stupid Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf trend of scary monsters being just a bunch of male Calvin Klein underwear models for puberty-triggering teenagers.
Does anyone agree?
I love the Halloween genre so I think The Wolfman place should be given to Halloween 2 remake as that was a puss poor film which Rob Zombie ruined. good night and sweet nightmares 😱
mike carr I completely agree I love the remake it definitely appears to my generation.
Yeah, plenty of horror remakes suck ass, but The Wolfman was not one of them.
Dude. The Wolf Man was released in 1941.
I agree. I was totally dismayed that the 2010 Wolfman was on this list.
I love the remake because it gives a good back story. Del Toro was perfect for the roll
ive never seen the original MIRRORS ,but i really enjoyed the remake
Nah its kind of condfusing
+Beast Gaming Yeah it probably is confusing to someone who can't even spell confusing...
I agree, I liked it.
If you get mirrors 2 on Blu Ray you get the original version. It's Japanese
Fuck the bathroom scene tho
You know you're in serious trouble when Paris Hilton is actually one of the more appealing characters in a film. And damned if that isn't the case with "House of Wax"... By the way, though, the 1950s "House of Wax" was itself a remake of the 1930s "Mystery of the Wax Museum", which is also well worth watching....
Get ready to put Poltergeist on here soon...
***** NO
a remake is just bullshit
no matter what
its heresy! xD
***** Well neither Polterist or Exorcist was scary as a kid. I guess I like psychological horror.
THOSE WERE MY *EXACT* THOUGHTS WHEN I SAW THIS LIST
RckerMom87
You just have no fear of god or ghosts
The Hitcher , 13 Ghosts and House of Wax were pretty good !
No
I agree with you on that.
Na stop it.
House of Wax was good and the Hitcher wasn't and 13 Ghosts was ok.
13 Ghosts was dope.
"When a Stranger Calls" was great. I don't care what people say about that remake.
I fuckn love thirteen ghosts shut up watchmojo!!
Also mirrors (Y)
+John J I agree about Friday the 13th
The Pink Nightmare *TRIGGERED*
@@johnj4471 fuck her for hate on friday the 13th and thirteen ghosts
...might wanna swap out the 06 Black Christmas with the 2019 Black Christmas. Just a thought.
Heres the comment I was looking for😅😬
Both are garbage
Nightmare on Elmstreet.
+Michael Freeman I second this. It was a terrible cgi fest that lacked the soul of the original.
That was on the first list.
"Number ten, house of wax"
Me: damn it Jared not again!
"Number nine, Friday the thirteenth"
Me: that's it, Jared go to the corner of shame and think about what you've done!
The Wicker Man...?
I think its on the first list
That was on the first list.
Blood'n'Bacon Ok, ya now I remember.
It's not a horror movie
Tha Botmon Ya, but I sadly think they intended it too be one.
The Island of Dr. Moreau and the Wolfman were pretty good.
The Island of Dr. Moreau is horrible in every way. Nothing good about it
No way... 13 ghosts remake was awesome!
PLEASE.
Aren't you technically going for attention? Don't get me wrong I agree but it seems ironic
NNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, not really :/
taylor asmah *sigh* Get out
I HACKED THIS COMMENT SO U CANT LIKE
I actually liked House of Wax it was entertaining imo.
Being a lifelong werewolf movie fan, the 2010 remake
of "The Wolfman is, in my opinion, the greatest werewolf
movie ever made!
I'm not gonna lie, I went into the Friday the 13th remake with super low expectations and had a great time. No it's not a fantastic film by any stretch, but it was if nothing else pretty solidly enjoyable.
I agree with you, but the remake isnt as bad as part 9 and jason x , and derek mears did an incredible jason so....it was alright i guess
I never saw the '86 Hitcher, but I liked the '07 one with Sean Bean. What really baffles me is that there has been an actual occurrence in time in which a zombie doesn't like to eat meat. Are you insane? That's like a serial killer supporting non-violence.
Yeah, it's ridiculous. That's like trying to make a zombie a human who eats exotically...........wait! (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IZombie_(TV_series))
a serial killer supporting non-violence lool
this made me laugh for quite a while xD
The guy was a vegetarian before he became a zombie.
Martin Guzman Yeah, but the fact that he's a zombie now and has discipline about eating flesh is still ironic.
***** He's trying to fight the hunger for human flesh. He still has a bit of humanity in him.
must admit tho, seeing Paris Hilton take a shaft to the face was very satisfying.
omg first thing i noticed about house of wax was jared padalecki
Me too
Payton Lee he was the only reason I watched it on Netflix. I was utterly disappointed with his acting. Thank god he had Supernatural to fall into and grow as an actor.
He had 2 movies on this list. Go figure.
He was also in the Friday the 13th remake.
House of Wax was a bad remake, but the ending was sooooo cool when the wax all melted.
Old Friday the 13th: people trip over nothing, Jason just automatically knows where people are, walks so slow yet can catch up to running people, has not the best kills, and is kinda cheese ball
New Friday the 13th: Jason actually runs, he finds people based on traps he sets, people trip because they got their foot stuck in a bear trap, and he killed someone by putting them in a sleeping bag and burning them to death in it.
Dude you don't need to get so mad it's just a movie 😂 also that comment was from two years ago 😂
the remake of friday the 13th was more like one big bloody soft core porno
True
+harlett- o-scara I love your screen name.
Yep
Besides the huge amounts of sex scenes and lack of likable characters, I actully liked the remake.
venman88 ha
I liked House of Wax honestly.
+Shadowcat596 me too
THANK YOU. Paris Hilton’s death scene is iconic.
Ur kidding
It actually was awesome and so does my bloody valentine remake that came out in the same year was also awesome
The Wolfman was a really good movie in my opinion
Carrie.. anyone? Just me?
ok
I can't say I've seen the remake
That was in the last video
Friday the 13th Remake was a great horror film. The best FT13 film IMO
MuleKick_Media not the best but a good remake
MovieClips. Agreed, the remake made Jason a real threat again (it’s probably the best portrayal of Jason)
MuleKick_Media I agree
It’s amazing
Agreed, ff13th shouldn't be here.
Mojo your next list should be "10 times we get it wrong..."
We watch Black Christmas every year because honestly it's so funny. It's like Wicker Man funny, it's literally so bad.
my list for this would be
#1 Psycho 1998
#2 Halloween 2007 By Rob Zombie
#3 Halloween 2 2009 also Rob Zombie
#4 A Nightmare On Elm Street 2010
#5 The Omen 2006
#6 The Thing 2011
#7 Evil Dead 2013 well that one i have mixed feelings about it's a 50/50 for me on this one
#8 The Shining Tv Mini Series Movie
#9 Friday The 13th 2009
#10 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003
The thing 2011 is not a remake, it's a prequel!!!
ok
What's so bad in Psycho? It didn't try to make up a sad background story for the murderer (Makes it look more pitiful than scary) like other remakes do! Just tried to do the same with bad actors.
the TCM remake had such a great dirty and brutal atmosphere! And I really enjoyed the actor of the sheriff
it's all shot for shot scenes for sene word for word everything from beginning to end is the exact same thing it has changed but the changes are so little and almost unnoticeable and i'm like this is the same as the 1960 film and this is just lazy thye didn't even change anything and it's like i'm wasting my time and i'm gonna go for the 1960 film and another thing i hate about it is why pick vince vaughn as norman bates i like the guy but him as norman i don't see it when i see him as norman bates i'm not scared of him i just want to laugh XD LOL now look at anthony perkins as norman when i see him as norman i do feel sorry for him and at the same time i feel scared but for vince vaughn not so much cus they did not try to make him look innocent and normal to begin with and then have the twist of him being a psycho at the end no you can tell that is is a nut job right from the get go wow great suspense movie >=( now do you get what i'm saying.
House of wax was not that bad. Friday the 13th (remake) is tied in my opinion with the first and second Friday the 13th movie. I hate when people pretend that the other Friday the 13th movies were good. And finally the Wolfman. Really? bad you say? I can compare it to the atrocious acting of the original and the boring flow of the movie but Anthony Hopkins steals any scene he's in no matter who it is.
the jaw thing from mirrors is still creepy as hell.
The Carrie remake from 2013 was probably one the worst remakes ever
I thought it was pretty good, or maybe it's because I like Chloe as an actress
It was still so much better than the original
Ethan Keary Well, that's your opinion and I respect that
+jkrfan7 thank you for being civil about it most people would have started swearing or saying stupid insults.
Ethan Keary not at all :) I love comparing movies with others. Can i ask why you like the remake over the original?
"The Wolfman" remake has become my favorite
werewolf film of all-time
Halloween 2 rob zombie?!?!??
its not that bad
ToXiCllKiWi it is
I actually like the Friday The 13th reboot. DON'T JUDGE ME!!!!!!!!
Well,James A Janisse likes it too
@@denisewoodford9250 who's that?
@@MichaelBrady087 Have you ever heard of the youtube channel Dead Meat
Well the only reason I watched the House of wax remake was because I'm obsessed with Jared Padalecki
I disagree.House of wax was very good.
I can't believe they did Black Christmas again!
And Friday the 13th but they were only honorable mentions so they couldn't explain WHY the were so bad so chill
I’ve seen the kill count of Black Christmas and I think it’s awful. For one thing in that movie why would a mother have sex with her son to have a daughter and have the son eat disgusting cookies from his dead mother?? Ech!!!!
I got “when a stranger calls” confused for “one missed call” am I a disgrace
