Just had my transmission replaced by nissan under warranty of course and the new one still doesn't feel right. I had the same issues in this video. New transmission in only warrantied for 1 year or 12k miles. I'm done with nissan and I'm going to trade the car in before it happens again.

Same issue which resulted in my vehicle to stay in limp mode. I have had my transmission and throttle body replace . Didn’t solve my issue . Nissan “recommend” to replace my EGI-F harness which totaled to be $4800 !! I refused !! Went to get a second opinion come to find out it is my pedal sensor “Accelerator pedal and sensor assembly”also known as “TPS” hope this helps . I have a 2015 Nissan Sentra SR automatic
Nissan settled on a nation wide lawsuit regarding the transmission. The settlement was to extend the warranty to 84,000 miles. The problem I am now having is that my local Nissan can’t figure out what is wrong with my car but mine is doing the same exact thing as this video.
We’re you able to get it fixed. Mine is doing the same thing. Had the throttle body replaced & still. . I was told the transmission might need to be replaced. But I’m tired of dumping money into my car. I’ve had it only 2 yrs :/
@@buratpitt not according to nissan lol. My car was under 10 years old, significantly under 84k miles and they pretended not to know what was wrong with it. I ended up trading it in to honda after it basically stopped on the expressway going 10 mi/hr despite all the gas i was giving it. Im over nissan.
Hey brother I have the same problem with mine it's the transmission shaft speed sensor it will cause your car to downshift and lose power and you will come to a complete stop although you will be able to rev the engine you can put it in park turn off the car then turn it back on put it in gear and it will work fine but it will be your transmission shaft speed sensor it is very common on CVT transmissions from Nissan
its these crappy Jatco transmissions nissan uses total crap. I'm tired of this just get a Toyota or honda its worth the piece of mind and the extra money to know you won't have these issues.
Hondas have absolutely horrible auto transmissions lol like what...and yes the cheap economy car cvts have had some issues in the past...they are pretty well sorted out now and plenty of nissans have above 200k on cvts..the higher end model cvts for the v6s are much stronger but in general now in 2021 they are pretty reliable and tuned out
I think it is the chain in the CVT Transmission that slips. Therefore you cannot find the problem because it is not an electrical problem or sensor Problem. The only way to solve the problem is to change the chain. And the cone surfaces on which the chain runs. More friction at the contact point chain-cone would eliminate the problem. Automatic transmissions have their advantages, especially in the comfort you do not need to shift gears and clutch, but unfortunately they also break down faster and are more expensive to repair. Nissan should take care of this problem and also take back to 100,000 km.
U need to change the trans fluid every 30k miles..mine did the same.. changed the fluid and stopped doing that.. the cvt uses fluid to open and close the cvt pulley.. change ur fluid.... btw.. I stopped using nissans cvt oil. And replaced it with valvoline cvt ns3 fluid.. haven't had that problem anymore
Having same issues. Started for my 2019 Sentra at about 39,000 miles. Been to Nissan Dealership twice and they cant find anything wrong with it. If this is a major issue I hope my transmission fails before my warranty is up at 60,000 miles.

My transmission is doing this wont speed up im going to a car shop to see if it just needs a transmission oil change but my nissan is at 120,000k miles and idk when the last owner change the transmission oil going to autozone to get the code then get the oil if it is that and take it to the shop to have it change

Speed sensor or this is just eary signs on bad transmission but I just swapped my transmission and it still does it I think it the speed sensors It’s attached to drive train so if they didn’t see it maybe or a wheel sensor
In my opinion avoid cars with cvt transmission.... Apparently nissan says cvt transmission are the future but no... Cvts are junk... Had a 01 Toyota Corolla... This was a far better car could do 110mph... On over 20000 miles on the motor... My new Sentra hardly goes 90mph

Just had this EXACT issue crop up on a super wet weather day after driving through some dense puddles. Having already dealt with a failed CVT in this car, It immediately felt to me like it was electronic/Sensor related. Throttle works fine in N, and builds RPMS without issue, I believe this issue is do to the Throttle Position Motor located on the side of the throttle body, this is my only guess. After extensive testing while wet, and then allowed to dry overnight. The issue has resolved. The throttle body is not opening completely, (it doesn't need to in order to rev high in N, as there is no load). Going to take apart all ECU, and IPDM connections, contact clean, dielectric grease and replace. I recommend you do the same.

Why is this not a recall?? It’s BS because my girl got this car close to the 80k warranty ending. It just so happened right before it ended the car started doing this. ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS HADTHIS PROBLEM GOOGLE. RESET TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. There is a guide on how to do it and it has worked well for me.

I had the same issue, I replaced the oil with nissan ns3 and it worked. I used a oil structure from Amazon and it was super easy.

Replace the TCM, if that doesn't fix it the you need to replace the TCM sensor on the transmission control valve. Presto!

Fuel filter. Spark plugs. MAF (mass air flow sensor). Intake manifold. Injection system. Any of these could be the problem

trasmission fluid is meant to last for a very long time
Replace the transmission fluid and the filters also add lube guard cvt.

Check y’all spark plugs if there’s any oil inside it’ll stop the combustion and lose power

That problem is present in almost every Sentra till today. I replaced for a Rogue and I love it.

Try Clean Your MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR FIRST Or Replace it. Buy It from Direct Warehouse NISSAN (OEM).

Was in 2 different nissan official branches and the 2nd one try doing a few thing and never was solved. This problem was fixed replacing the car.
