Loving Rat week! Great job on the short, but potent, demonstration of sounds with all these pedals. I'm a rat nut and have all these pedals too. Gorilla Warfare is one of my favorites. Though, I do love them all for different reasons. Keep up the great work! (from down the road in Farmington)
@@dgeekay1494 My vote in that department would be the jam rattler. It's less gooey gain and a little more crisp. In my opinion of course :) The rattler really cleans up nice with the guitar volume and doesn't get too bright like some can when not being pushed.
@@SirDjent thanx for the feedback man. I had the current version of Rattler. I agry, very nice crisp and amazing dynamism nuances etc.., but it was cutting to much low end for my taste.. so I returned it. Some years ago, in Greece I played an old (black) version of Rattler. That one let me with the mouth open. A Skinner Box is on the way for me.. But I Want so bad the Gorilla too.. Of course want to try or own all the others of that department too..
Thanks Ryan! This has been cool. Usually I'll hear one of these demos and think...not for me. This week it's been a case of figuring out which I like best. Nice job!
Can’t go wrong w/ANYTHING Greer and the Gorilla Warefare is no exception. Toss up between this & the woodcutter as my favorite, though all are awesome. Looking forward to the smorgasbord episode; hope you’re well Broseph!!! 😘😘😘
This has been a fun week. Flipping through all the demos again just now and I’m surprised by what is hitting the tone in my head. Looking forward to tomorrow to confirm my fav(s).
Ryan you forgot one! The petty John ROUS! We all would love a demo of it fro. You! Love this series by the way, it came in the Knick of time, I’ve been looking into buying a rat type pedal!
I’ve got the Gorilla Warfare and LOVE it! I’ve never pushed mine into fuzz territory like it sounded in moments in this video. I feel like mine sounds like a screaming vintage Marshall (I used to have a 1981 Marshall JCM 800) with an overdrive in from of it. That’s at least how Id describe it. I love it and think it sounds much better than the Rats I’ve heard. It’s not fizzy at all.
@@DemosInTheDark hahahahah very important detail! Wow it sounds great with all the RAT-style pedals. It is common to hear that alnico speakers don't sound well with high gain distorted sounds... Not true as I can check from you...
Yo Ryan, another great rat vid. My bank balance is now a little lighter coz of you! On a related note, have you ever compared a current production Rat 2 with your one?
Okay... I’ve tried to be good and hold it in... English teachers, please stop teaching kids to say “compare & contrast” Compare = to note similarities AND DIFFERENCES Contrast = to note differences (only) So to compare & contrast is to note similarities & differences & differences... okay I’m done 🤣
This is the first pedal in this series that I've actually disliked. Loud, shrill, and scooped-sounding by comparison with the original. An easy choice for me, if I were in the market for original 308 Rats.
Rat week was such a great idea!! Loving the videos and the overall theme. Keep at it! More of these would be cool
hey thanks! i had a blast doing it!

Hey Dana, since you own all of them, which one feels more dynamic? Let's say with the gain and tone around noon??.. thanx in advance

I like pretty much every Greer drive pedal I've ever tried. In this instance though, I'm taking your OG Rat. Fun week! 👍👌
can’t win em all, eh? 😎

i think tomorrow will (hopefully) help when we run them all side by side!

i'm honestly surprised at how enlightening the series was for me. i learned a ton!
The Greer definitely seems “girthier” “full” whatever you want to call it... fantastic comparisons so far... excited for tomorrow’s shootout!

it's weird but i've never worked with them.
@@DemosInTheDark I hadn’t until recent either. Anyways, love your demos!

i’d agree that it’s more focused for sure!
Love that gorilla warfare on bass.
you made it sound great on bass!
Is your Bassman a 4x10' combo or a Head? In which case, what speaker are you using for recording? Sounds amazing, thanks!
i have it running into a 2x12 vented back with creamback speakers!
@@DemosInTheDark M creamback?
alnico. sorry, that's a $300 detail i left out. hahaha

I love me a good rat pedal but the GW2 just murders that poor rat. Nick is da man!
👌

thanks man! not publicly. i’m considering something similar for a future series.
