Short hike along E4 trail on the south coast of Crete

A short hike, 8 kilometers out and back from Anidri Beach along the E4 trail heading to Sougia. To hike all the way to Sougia from Anidri Beach they say it takes 5 hours. We thought we could make it to the Ancient City of Lissos but it was taking to long and we decided to turn back and we will hike to Lissos from Sougia another day. It was a gorgeous day, a little warm and just perfect to jump in the crystal clear water of Crete. The E4 trail is one of the best trails on Crete and it goes the whole length of Crete.

We started out at Anidri Beach which is about 4 kilometers west of Paleochoro. The begining of the trail starts on the west end of the beach. The trail is easy to follow and we just hiked along the trail for a couple hours in one direction and then turned back the way we came and stopped for swimming.
