- Some days ago I've had the opportunity to play the amazing pipe organ at St. Matthews Church in Wilmington, NC. This organ is one of the nicest instruments in the city and features Chamade Trumpets as well as several "toy" stops including a Zimbelstern, Timpani and Gong Stop. An absolute joy to play!

I have always loved this "Tune" but I could never perform it well when I was taking organ lessons ☹. I did, however, get to play the "Tune" as a solo on my flute (easier to play the ornamental trills)😊.

Uses the word "huge" in the title and shows a thumbnail of a truly huge 5-manual console, then proceeds to only play an average-sized three-manual!!! 🤨 Paul, I have to say that you're possibly the very best organist I've ever heard; I really wish you would let your amazing technique and musicality speak for themselves without resorting to clickbait!

We designed these trumpets which have been installed from Hartford to Washington DC to this installation to be more in the character of English Tubas, feeling the brighter and more abrasive en chamades of earlier decades to be overdone and unpleasant. Clients seem to like them. They are not designed after Spanish Trumpets en Chamade which, while glorious, are not within our particular area of expertise.
