Hallo Wanna Walk...!! Gut gemacht junge...!!!😊👍🆓🇨🇺
You have captured it as it is. This is so sad. No garbage being picked up and renovations dumped in the road. And very often you see the looks on their faces,,,,not happy at all and if you get a chance to glance inside of a home it is heartbreaking. Yes the hotels beaches night clubs and old cars are grheat but there is so much sadness about. I feel for the people.
Hardly a single person dressed what would be considered well off in any other world city. Compare this with what existed before the Castro takeover. The buildings are rotting and crumbling. Physical evidence of the disastrous and cancerous regime thay's plagued this beautiful island since 1959.

Living in Havana is like a return to the history of (my origin country-Romania), in the years 1950-1960! It's nostalgic, for a 70-year-old man, but it is not ideal!
GREAT VIDEO!!! SEMI POOR PEOPLE BUT KIND,, BUT BUILINGS FALLING APART AND STREETS , SAD .. BUT GOOD FOOD.. THE GREATEST THE CARS ARE SPOTLESS SO CLEAN AND THE PAINT JOBS WOW!!! THANKS...

Havana looks like a tired, blighted, wretched slum. People need to stop with the romantizing and apologetics. In no way does this city resemble what it looked like before the take over. Can one imagine if the very same thing had happened to Barcelona. No wonder people escape from this dystopian nightmare.

Hey Donna! Thanks a lot for your feedback! Certainly, Havana was a incredible beautiful city a century ago. Pure art deco and art nouveau. With some imagination you can still feeling that now faded elegance. Take care 😘
It looks like another world, it's like time travel. The video is very interesting, nicely shot. Why is there such a big mess? Houses in such bad condition? Garbage everywhere !! And that's the capital!! What does it look like in small towns or in the village !!! You ask if I could live there.... No, but try for a year... God bless Cuba
Such a unique country thanks for sharing. Makes me wonder how the personality of a people shape the building. It the same for the English towns and villages I film, you can feel the people through them. ❤️

Thirteen trips to Cuba - so far. And the very best experiences my wife and I have had there was “Over The Wall”. That is when you leave the artificial world of the make believe resorts and spend time with the Cuban people, in their own towns, in their own homes. Takes a few trips to the same resorts to establish a friendship with them, but we’ve never met a friendlier, kinder people ever. What appears to be “poverty” to our “first world” eyes is in reality a contentment with life and love and family. As our dear friend phrased it, “we don’t have much, but we’re happy”.
Hey Tom. Exactly! There are many realities and this is one. There is beauty behind the walls! More Cuba videos to watch later here: ruclips.net/p/PL4ZSmi3lHwZKDqO20CPSF5XfX6ASuGjDo 🙂🇨🇺

I ❤ CUBA
Food for us was hit or miss when it was good it was excellent when it was bad it was so so,best pizza ever had in Havana,Best gelato in my life was Trinidad so amazingly delicious creamy satisfying.
I found the food terrible even the chocolate bars were awful. THE PEOPLE DO THE BEST THEY CAN AND ARE WILLING TO SHARE THE LITTLE THEY HAVE. MY HEART GOES OUT TO THEM. SO THIS IS WHAT COMMUNISM LOOKS LIKE / NO THANKS.
I have been to Cuba many times and what keeps me going back is not the scenery or the food but the people are the best. Having nothing they are willing to share the little they have . I love the cuban people. That city must have been beautiful at one time as the old buildings are beautiful just need a lot of work to bring them back to their beauty. I could never live there a short visit is enough and it saddens me how everyone is in need . I hope and pray something changes there with all the starving animals on the street, is terrible. My heart goes out to the people who must live in all the mess there. Where is the government? Who should be keeping the city in repairs. Shame on them!
People make the beds they lie on. Havana represents what the Revolutionistas wanted and got. The same sort of thinking that made Haiti such a paradise. Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.
the cuban at 2.18 has a montreal expos hat !!!..i would have paid him a lunch and a cerveza for sure lolol. f... , i miss my expos 😪.thanks bud selig....
Many Cubans are desperate enough to make the dangerous crossing to Florida. Havana is teeming with Jineteras and Pingeuros, who sell their bodies for a pittance. Havanna is in a state of physical, social, decay, which is synonymous with degeneracy. Many here are incredibly ignorant of history, which can easily explain the present plight of Cuba. The contemporary slum of Havana, stands in marked, stark contrast to what it once was, a flourishing, thriving, glamorous port city. One of the most important in Latin America. It's become a has been, picturesque slum, with many singing its charms because they don't have to live in Havana. It's like watching a horror movie with the safety net of knowing you can turn it off, and walk away.

Hola Temio.

Cuba and Venezuela, two very close allies with similar political systems , are almost identical in their economic predicament. Like Cuba, Venezuela also has very wary authorities keeping and eye on everyone. Perhaps you can show us the country side next.
Correct. Think about it. At one time Venezuela and Cuba, were among the most affuent and well off countries in Latin America. Look at them now. Talk about a fall from grace. Yet many wax poetic over this destitution, deprivation and abject poverty, due to the fact they have the freedom, and leisure to bite the hands that feed them. They hate the West and the Capitalist countries they reside in. Ingratitude speaks volumes with these folks. Speak to any member of the Cuban Diaspora, or refuge from an oppressive regime, and they will set your head straight.
Everything looks grungey, dog eared, tired, and spent. Decaying, broken and faded facades. Crumbling buildings and sidewalks. Streets pocked with holes. Shabby markets, with shabbily dressed patrons. There are folks carping on wistfully how cute and exotic this all is, but know little how vastly different this city now is compared to its affluent, cosmopolitan, and glamourous past. At one time, only Buenos Aires, and Caracas, matched the standard of living in Havana, which was largely a middle class city. Everything about the city today translates into a picture of decay and grinding deprivation. Folks who take their countries and standard of living for granted. Who do not have to live with what Cubans put up with, can well afford the attitudes posted by many over this footage. Cuba is a textbook example and warning over how a once great country can quickly transform into an unrecognizable shadow of its former self. What a sad and disturbing, spectacle to witness.
In Cuba, what was going to be a revolution at the beginning, very soon degenerated into a tyranny where Fidel Castro lied and manipulated the Cuban people and never restored the constitutional order of the 1940 Constitution as he had promised and committed in his fight and that was the reason why different forces joined him in that unfulfilled endeavor. Rather, he did the opposite, instead of restoring democracy, he established a totalitarian communist tyranny of the Stalinist nature, unproductive, repressive and destructive. 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺
Fidel Castro had a multi-million dollar subsidy from the USSR and international trade under privileged conditions with Eastern Europe for three decades. If those resources had been used in the development of Cuba, because they were enormous, today Cuba would be better off than most of the Latin American countries in standard of living. But in addition to squandering those resources and destroying the Cuban economy, he dedicated himself to fomenting terrorism in Latin America and waging wars in Africa, which bled the Cuban economy dry, not to mention all the atrocities he committed in the economic field according to his latest occurrence. (the list is long, because they started from the same 1959). Cuba disposed of many millions for its development, but the totalitarian Stalinist communism imposed on the island embezzled them, squandered them, and without being accountable to anyone, as was typical of the tyrant Fidel Castro.
Hola!
Beautiful message. I think Havana it’s incredible beautiful if you know how to see. In particular it’s faded architecture art deco and art nouveau. More Cuba videos to watch later: ruclips.net/p/PL4ZSmi3lHwZKDqO20CPSF5XfX6ASuGjDo 🙂🇨🇺
Precisely. For those who yearn for a Guevaran showcase of dystopian decay, government overreach, policing up the culo, and socialism which gurantees egalitarianism in making every citizen dirt poor, then Cuba is your storybook go to place. No matter how much you polish a turd, and convince yourself that it doesn't stink. It's still remains a foul smelling turd.
É impressionante como o narrador descreve como colorido e povo quente, cidade bonita, povo alegre... Mas as imagens não mostram isso. Vemos apenas ruínas e carros velhos pessoas tristes e necessitadas. Muito triste todo esse cenário. Viva o CAPITALISMO!
That, " earthquake," came in the form of Fidel Castro, who fooled everyone into thinking he was what Cuba needed. Communism is predicated on lies, sugar coated with populistic, good intentions. Cuba is an excellent example of how a lie can hold a country in it's vise.
Fairy tale rubbish. Anyone who accepts your laughable take, probably thinks the cow jumps over a moon made of cheese. As a Latin myself, I can safely attest to the fact that we do enjoy life, and that does not exclude living in a decent house, wearing nice clothes, and driving a nice car. Condemning the Cuban people to a life of mere subsistence, and threadbare existence, because it exonerates your silly ideas of self contentment, is damnable on its face. I'll gladly wager you do not live like these cut out, romantized figures. You probably live reasonably well off, yet sentimentalize people caught spinning in a wheel of misfortunate poverty. To say that these people don't want to be Europeans, because you possess the comfort to relegate these people to their abject existence, is pathologically sick. Marxism, and lazy relativism, has rotted what's left of your brain matter.
I just love the old cars , there the most beautiful cars , oldies but goodies

CUBA É SIMPLESMENTE FABULOSA !

@@WannaWalk Thanks.
Well, their roads are in much better shape than ours here in MA! Sadly I'm not even joking ...
They're not. Your joking would come to an immediate stop if you were to visit Cuba.
Gracias Wanna Walk...! Y atrévete a más si puedes...!!! ( tu seguridad primero... está claro..)...😊💪👍👍🆓🇨🇺

Hola amigo. I’ll check them asap 🙂
Real life

The Cuban people only need one thing: FREEDOM FROM THE CASTROMCUNISTA TYRANNY.
Do you think that the Cuban people need just your thing NO, they need a lot more than your "small" brain can touch!!!???
In the 1920 this country Was absolutely beautiful and I must say now it’s very dirty and it’s a shame what these people go thru.
🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺 🇨🇺
kjempe 👍👍
I see that @wanna walk love dogs.
All of them 🐶
Fidel Castro had a multi-million dollar subsidy from the USSR and international trade under privileged conditions with Eastern Europe for three decades.
Ask the present regime that question.
...in English please. I don't know what you're saying.
Both things are possible at the same time 🙂
Where's the fun girls 😂

That, " earthquake," came in the form of Fidel Castro, who fooled everyone into thinking he was what Cuba needed. Communism is predicated on lies, sugar coated with populistic, good intentions. Cuba is an excellent example of how a lie can hold a country in it's vise.
Well said
Fairy tale rubbish.
What type of jobs do they have? How do they survive? Why is it such a mess, it's horrible and so sad to even finish watching this video 😢💔
👍😃❤️🍀🇵🇱🕊️
