I have to mention the Austin 12 Heavy, spot on. The old Morris was great too. The old Albion was so well restored and that horn! Some really nice VW Beetles through the ages, not sure about the 'rat rod' version but each to his own. The other 'hot rod' had a reference to the 'rat rod' scene but a much more pleasing car in my opinion. The Blue !955 Ford looked to me like a 'gasser' (American term), quite interesting though. I loved all the old BSA's as my Dad had a number of them in his youth and of course me coming from 'Westbrom' I have to support such motorbikes. I don't mind those old scooters either, the trick was to install as many lights and mirrors as you could and you didn't need to have all the lights working! I almost forgot to mention the lovely example of the Datsun 240Z the 'Z's' were great in their time and still hold their own today. Great video Rick and the ride back in the Star was a nice ending and she goes along quite well too. 👍👍
Thanks for checking this one out, yes the ride back in the fading light was all very pleasant. Kind of miss having something really old around the place, mmmmm
Another great video. I also love looking at the old buildings in the background on all your videos as we don't have that depth of history here in Australia. By the way, the strange looking two door American car is a Ford Customline of around 1956 vintage. These, in four door form, were common in Australia and even used by some police forces for chase cars.
Excellent video of what could best be described as an eclectic extravanganza! Loved the old girls - Albion, Austin, Star and Bullnose Morris. Bingo - ever since I started watching the OCC channel I have been eagerly looking out for a Lotus Carlton at the meets! A real bad boy and nothing else quite like it in the day.
I like your conveyance to this gathering. Nice looking car. File under minutiae: The US had a Star marque as well in the early 1920's built by Durant. It sold in the UK under the Rugby brand to avoid confusion with the UK Star.
Another cracking vid, that Caterham type car at 48.01 was an MK kit car based on Mazda MX5 running gear. It seem like a good way to recycle a terminally rusty MX5..a nice mix of vehicles at this meet, some real beauties, well done.
A perfect evening for a very interesting meet with a lorra lorra Escorts. and a great, mixed variety of cars etc. The 240Z is awesome and I would take that home tomorrow. My late father had a BSA Bantam in the 60's which my brothers and I used to get to clean and I have none to fond memories of wire wool cleaning the wheels which I hated to do.The Star driving sequence is wonderful and it seems to motor along very nicely. First class video. I always find your choice of soundtrack music very apt in each of your uploads.
I liked the dogs there. The young lady on the Fergie was also a good attraction. That event was way overpacked in my opinion. Can't imagine what the Ferrari owner next to the mopeds was going through.
The star of the show (no pun intended) is the Star and the Albion. Never even heard of these vehicles! The Star seems to drive at a nice clip too. 🎉. Another great video! 😊
Hi rick, what a beautiful old pub,and so many great cars.i have to agree with the austin being best, its name erik was my dads name.thank you for a great vid.❤
This is the 1st video from your channel I have watched in about 3 months. I have learned a lot about European/UK autos from watching this channel and also enjoy the people and venues where these meets are held, thank you for spending time to upload. I must admit though that this meet seems somehow haphazard in size or convince for those trying to enter and leave it seems?
My 1988 Volvo 240 DL station wagon lasted to 600,000 miles, so I gave it away because I had nowhere to store it. original paint, no rust, still ran strong.
Terrific Venue with a super selection . Seeing drivers with no front number plate always annoys me , the black Ferrari being one . The Star had a centre throttle ? Sounded wonderful and did you lay on the music Richard ? Thankyou

OH MY GHOST
Jeremy Clarkson would say 😎
Thank you so much for documenting it all, it’s a great video. Also the blue 240z is mine, appreciate the kind words!
Thanks! Yes loved the Z such a cool car
Very nice event, I agree with you for the car of the evening being the old Austin, All the best Bob
Hey dude! The blue American car at 26 mins is mine,
It's a 1955 ford customline done in the style of a gasser,
She's daily driven and 5 speed manual
Cool, made a great noise and first time of seeing it for me too

Yep for a modest sized meet there was some real variety there, I'll try and visit it again sometime
Thank you of this lovely video for sharing the oldies and happy to see many people gathering for this occasion 💗😄

A great show, yes the Austin 12 heavy was a stunner. The Star was pretty good too, love to see more information on the Star.

Thanks Vince, yes we were so lucky with the weather and the light was perfect as we drove home again
I had a 1988 1/2 Ford Escort LX. One of my favorite vehicles, with 5 speed manual transmission.
I liked the dogs there. The young lady on the Fergie was also a good attraction. That event was way overpacked in my opinion. Can't imagine what the Ferrari owner next to the mopeds was going through.
Ha yes it was quite busy :-)
The star of the show (no pun intended) is the Star and the Albion. Never even heard of these vehicles! The Star seems to drive at a nice clip too. 🎉. Another great video! 😊
Yes the old Star rolls along very well, thanks for watching

18:42 VW Beetle with the Mad Max look. I think that's what the owner was after in restomodding it.

Good solid old cars those 240s, my uncle had two of them
@@oldclassiccarUK heated leather seats and AC still worked...
Looks wonderful. Is it always on a special date, weekend or so. We are on holiday there in 2026 and would like to visit
I think during the summer it is held most months, but I would suggest following the pub's Facebook page(s) to be sure of future dates
Yes, I will do so @@oldclassiccarUK

Ha no I'm not responsible for the music, it wouldn't have sounded like that if I'd tried it
The Mods arrived on their Vespa scooters and clashed with the Rockers on their motorbikes.
Funny, I now own a 2012 Ford Fiesta 5 speed sadan. Its a screamer with no passengers...or weight in it. My college girl car.😃
The Rover estate is an Estoura.
That’s the one it houses a 3.9 efi with bmw zf 4 speed auto box
