I find it really funny, but also fitting, that Bowser’s big evil plan this time is to… throw the biggest concert ever.

Just gonna say it... this was a return to form for me, with some incredible twists and turns in almost every level. A modern version of Super Mario World. One of my fav games of the year!
Too bad I lost my Switch right before this came out. Only thing I’ve ever lost in my life.

I love how this game answers the question of what would the New Super Mario Bros games be like if Mario`s shrooms did what they were supposed to, rather than making him grow taller.
This is also a massive return to form for 2D Mario, is super creative, and is not only the most charming and unique Mario game I can think of (other than maybe Odyssey, but I still haven`t played it, despite owning it for a while at this point), but also one of the best and most interesting/ unique games to come out this year.
This game skipped the shrooms and went straight to LSD.
Also Odysee is fantastic and you shouldn't sleep on it.

@@disguysn I`ve been meaning to get to if for a long time, but the backlog is pretty massive across multiple platforms, and I`ve been hit hard by FOMO regarding some of this year`s new games as well... I only just got to BOTW earlier this year, when the first propor trailer for TOTK dropped, and I really regret not having played it sooner, in no small part because I beat BOTW the same day my copy of TOTK arrived, and I ended up jumping streight into that one...
I think I`m going to hopefully finish Lies of P, as well as Wonder, than play another fairly short game as a palet cleanser, before finally jumping into Oddyssey

I had so much fun playing this game. Was smiling the entire time. Until I got to the final final level…waaayyy more angry inducing than the rest of the game.
For real. I think my highest death count on a level was under 10 for every other level. Final final... probably 60+ deaths. Brutal.
At least for me, Final-Final Test was nothing compared to Jump to the Beat. I think Jump to the Beat cost me 500 lives. (Compared to about 50 for the last one.)
To be fair, though, I beat the Final-Final Test with Nabbit. That spring badge fire bar stage was too much for my patience.
I also had to beat both those stages TWICE because, on Jump the Beat, I missed the jump to grab the Wonder Flower and had to do it again. And on Final-Final Test, I missed the top of the flagpole, and then the bumper bashed me into the flag. Accursed invisibility!
This seriously did more to make me want to play SMB Wonder than the actual promo videos
Nintendo really has awful previews on the online store.

At this point, to keep the next set of Mario games interesting, maybe they could explore the idea of bringing back past baddies that were one-time enemies in different games, and/or make Bowser NOT the final boss or something.
Just finished this game last night. Took about an hour to do the very last level with the badges challenge.
Took me three, mostly because i had to do it twice no thanks to the final part and the flagpole
I’m struggling with that one! For about 3 days now.
@@derpyguytheshygamer3283 yeah. That part I didn’t as one would expect but after finishing that I watched a speed run of it and the dude made it easier for himself by using emoji pop up to give him a better understanding of where he is.

Since this game is centered around flowers and there's one kind of flower that makes you see the world in a certain way, I'm just going to say it right now... Super Mario Wonder trips on opium so we don't have to.
First mushrooms and now this? Didn't know Mario was into so many drugs.
I guess opium eventually makes you nod off, which could cause dreaming on the edge of wakefulness.
Belladonna and/or Angel Trumpet might be a good option. Note both are quite dangerous and can be deadly but they do cause proper hallucinations.

With Alan Wake 2 getting 8 award nominations, with one being Game of the Year, it's pretty much the only one on that list without an Honest Game Trailer... So it has to happen soon... Right?

It's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake II now. Those two are probably the next two weeks (November 21 and 28). After that? I'd guess Super Mario RPG on December 5, P5 Tactica on December 12, Disney Dreamlight Valley on December 19, a week off for the holidays, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora to kick off the new year on January 2, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince on January 9, Sonic Dream Team on January 16, the new Alone in the Dark on January 23 and, to close this off with January complete, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on January 30.

nah. the lack of boss fights says otherwise. Ninentendo never learned from Zelda BOTW. we hate fighting the same bosses with different variants.
@@rhovrox9291 bosses being lackluster would only be a major issue if they dragged out the game or were a significant part of it. Mario games have never focused on boss fights. You may as well whine about the plot next if we’re going there.
