- Due to some requests I decided to get some footage of the TFL Pursuit 6s and the TFL Cheetah 6s. The Pursuit did 69 mph in a moderate boat setup testing a new Dasboata prop. Changes are a full hull fiberglass and epoxy resin reinforcement and a new Leo 2000kv motor. The end part of the vid was with a more aggressive boat setup but the water conditions got much worse. Not a good combo!😳The Cheetah did well until the ESC lead came unsoldered. Better luck next time! Big shout out to Dasboata and his awesome props! Thanks for watching!

DAMN Brother 😱!!!! The Pursuit and Cheetah are absolute Screamers 👀. Was just at Folsom Lake today fishing and hiking with Andrew and his buddy 🤗. So relaxing to be near, on, and in the water 😍. We got skunked, but had a great time regardless. It would be nice to run one of these rippers out there. The Cheetah corners Killer 😱. I lost a solder job not long ago. Started using a mini torch for my EC5's now and my iron for just tinning the wires. It's definitely faster and seems to get a solid joint. Gotta love the hobby Bro 👍. All the trials and tribulations and tuning that pays off with Mad FUN 🚀🚀. Great job with the build Eric 😜. The speed and exceleration is friggin Crazy. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

I have 5 total now and wish I had time to get them all out at once!😜I do a lot of sport running during the summer out on the lake and my dad has a few boats too. I just don't always film. Thanks for the heads up on the mini torch...I may do that!👌I think the problem was I ran this boat hot testing props and the joint was weakened already and that run just popped it loose the rest of the way. I'm glad to see this side of you. I never did boats and it's too late for me now. I cannot swim and since I fall down, a lot, being around water could be life threatening to me and I have too much left to play with and not enough time.

Hello, very nice boats - you have them dialed in very nicely. I like how you reinforced the Pursuit. If I may bother you a bit, what exact material and resin did you use to accomplish this? I have a TFL hull that I'd like to do the same to. What prep did you do to the hull? Did you remove the motor mount, etc from the hull before reinforcing or did you reinforce around everything? Thank you in advance
You can remove mounts or leave them. No prep really needed, just lay some CF cloth and coat it with epoxy.

But I forgot to specify that it was for the Cheetah that I wanted to know the engine configuration, Kv and propeller and the esc.
During this video I was running a Leo 1730kv 4092 with a Seaking 180 and Dasboata X447 prop. The boat is fast but ran hot. She has a whole new setup now with a 220amp swordfish coming.🤙
OK, thanks. with this new esc no heating worries? I have a 180 seaking and it heats up quite a bit but I have a leopard 4082 2000kv. i will definitely drop in kv.

Not sure on the speed since I haven't clocked it. Probably high 50's to low 60's here. She is a great handing boat! Very light too for the size. 6s is probably enough but that is all up to you!! I wanted to convert this one to a twin as well but too much work being it's already a single. A twin would rip!!

tfl pursuit gets on plane quickly, no matter what ive done to my m41 it porpoise and it pissed me off so much ive hung it on the wall.. what a pos.. i should have gotten a pro boat😔😔😔
Yeah the Tfl Pursuit is a killer boat! Its taken me quite sometime to get it this dialed! Proboat makes killer boats too!💪My Dad has a M41 and he has the same issues. Not much good over 50mph👀

Ya, i got into boats a couple years ago, it was short lived i dumped a few hundred in the m41 all hot racing parts stock electronics, new skin shit like that but i always go back to my cars, ill try again in the spring i am going to order twin zelos and start with fiberglass instead. I feel the added weight will stop the porpoising And my be easier to tune considering the zelos has been out for a while and there's a lot of people that upgrade them.

Check out MrMad2424 on RUclips he got over 100mph running stock electronics! Takes a lot to setup a boat for speed like that but it can be done! Sorry to hear your luck on the M41. it's a cool boat but I think the biggest problem is the flex of the plastic hull and it's so light weight. How do you have your strut adjusted? If it's running too wet it'll cause porpoising too.
@@RCDUDE81 I like the tfl, i also was looking for giant scale boats well trying to find out how to order and what the cost was. i did some research on the zonda it is a thought🤔 but b4 i buy anything else i am going to buy what i want and not just buy the first thing. the giant scale r/c boats in Europe are sick but i couldn't find any place that new how to order.
