"Man I could use some eyeballs!"
Golden Corral's new breakfast menu has you covered, good sir.
This film might have some of the most vile and repulsive characters of any Rifftrax movie. a true classic.
It's a lot of bad people and also a weird guy in an "alien" "suit"
@@rifftrax the galaxy invader himself is the one truly sympathetic character
Although mst....but hobgoblins has some beauties .
as bad as psycho Farrah Fawcett hair guy from Zombie Nightmare? he was really horrible
@@SpamEggSausage basically every (human) character in Galaxy Invader is psycho Farrah Fawcett hair guy. you absolutely root for the alien in this movie.
This movie has some serious 'Giant Spider Invasion' energy to it.
Well, both do revolve around a repulsive, abusive hillbilly finding a dangerous meteor and inadvertantly causing havoc with it. Although this one has a distinct lack of VAAAAAANCE!!!, so that's a rather large deduction on its part.
@@NorthStarBlue1come to think isn’t “repulsive hillbilly finds horrifying cosmic threat, makes life even more miserable for others” also a favored trope of Lovecraft?
@@christaswista4014 Well, in that case it's more rural New Englander than southern hillbilly, though Lovecraft likely would have considered them both the same thing.
A bit Laserblast too
I had to double check the movie info because I thought it was for a second!
This is gold Rifftrax is handing out.
Seriously, though, this is a Rifftrax classic. Perfect movie for riffing, and their Riff of it is hilarious. Its on my list of must watch Rifftrax episodes.
This is so cool for the people that haven't seen this yet.
The opening is one of their best
Pod People was one of my all time favorite MST3K episodes. Watching a Rifftrax of the movie used in PP's opening credits, now the circle is complete and my life fulfilled.
"Oh man here's where the Swamp Thing meets the sweet thang!"
"Ah, the tears of a clown."
there's also Prisoners Of The Lost Universe, only i can't remember what episode that movie was used in the opening of...
This channel is THE SUPERIOR ENTERTAINMENT way beyond all channels with a million plus subscribers. None come close to this level. I don't know what to make of that.
1 word: stupidity
Omg same, from slumber parties watching MST3K to Riffrax today, still the funniest people to ever riff movies!
That makes no sense. There are many different kinds of entertainment on RUclips that can't compare with each other. Stop with the senseless hyperbole; it is childish.
@@yourswordsir2537 Anyone with good taste , like brandigarza, will agree with my exaggeration-free assessment. This channel is the best.
@@yourswordsir2537it's a joke dude
"There's one thing I know..."
"Pigs don't like bumblebees. The one thing I know."
So after thirty years the mystery is over- this is where those weird, disjointed scenes during the credits of "The Pod People" come from.
This comment needs more upvotes.
@@dougjb7848 when I scrolled down, I noted that I was not the first one to make the connection.
there's also Prisoners Of The Lost Universe, only i can't remember what episode that movie was used in the opening of...
Joe was the real Galaxy Invader the whole time.
If I get "Bunky Hart" stuck in my head, I'm comin' back with an orb and a space gun.
That's how you end up in Moo-Ray Court.
"Like I alway say, I can make ANYTHING fart"....I spit out my egg nog with that one.
Ah, I remember the days when huge shirt holes were all the rage.
This really is something. Balenciaga should take note.
Another full riff release?? Thank you! We're getting spoiled before tomorrow's live riff of Rad! I'm so excited my family has tickets
We're off to see Rad! tomorrow too. This was a nice warm-up ....
Yep, driving to Vegas to see it! Can't wait!
And I just watched this the next night in what can only be known as... AfterRad.
Yeah, first time I went to see a movie in theaters since 2017. And I was alone too which made it more relaxing. Such a well done riff!
Thanks Rifftrax crew for making me laugh for so many years! I'm now unable to watch a movie without people telling me to shut up, but you've got me through some tough spots in my life with laughter. My life would not be as funny without you guys! See ya guys tonight!!
Hey man, who is telling you off and why? We don't tolerate that crap on the Rifftrax website.
Please let me know if you need any thing, or if I can helpout?
Ttyl my new Rifftrax friend
Cheers from Canada
@Pocketrocket-pj1us Hey, friend! Greetings from the States! It started about 40 years ago for me, when Elvira, The Mistress of the Dark, would riff on horror movies on one of the 5 TV stations we had. I will admit that I came for the boobs but stayed for the bizarre movies and hilarious comedy. Ever since then, I've been unable to not make fun of movies while watching them, that's why I get told to shut up!
This movie seems hellbent on fulfilling every stereotype about rural folk, and it does a pretty good job.
I just want to say that the abusive gun-happy father's actor did a pretty good job playing the role. Most of the cast was wooden enough to make a table, but this guy did a good job I think.
Y’know, I agree with you that the dad-character actor is making a good go of it.
The crazy prospector laugh is what sold me.
Good thing mom didn't take her apron off the entire movie! That was her husband-killin' apron.
"Hi, heaven's gate people!"
Right off the bat, straight savage.
Best ending in movie history. Laughed so hard it felt like I was on drugs.
That slo-mo clobbering is the stuff of legend
@@HylianFox3 she hit him so hard that he turned into a dummy and got launched off a cliff in a completely different area.
"Joe is dead, but his body's preserved by alchohooool."
"Spaceman, Spacemaaaaan"
The most frightening thing about this movie is that I escaped from country like that! Whenever I feel anything like false nostalgia for the place, I’ll just play this movie!
Mocking this movie is a public service performed by RiffTrax!
Proud to say I actually have the Rifftrax DVD of this! God, this movie is a tough sit...
Haha there's a reason RLM joked about this movie being too dull for best of the worst, especially since it's identical to all his other movies
With riffs it's bearable haha
was your last word misspelled or are you evading YT's censorship.
One of 2 I loaned. ( ice cream bunny) Beautiful woman....
Never got back.
I have MISSSED .....this movie so much. 😓😢😥
What year did they do this? Was hoping it was in August of 23' but....
… they make it an amazing experience. And yet… I find it slightly atrocious that they don’t make one mention that THIS was the movie that Pod People plays clips from in the opening credits… … I guess only obsessive mst3k nerds would notice that 😅
This film has all the charm of a trailer park wedding.
This movie is proof that aliens want nothing to do with us.
LOOOOVED the super-impressive "cameos" by Jimmy Stewart and Don Knotts. --Some real talent there!
First RIFFTRAX I had seen. Glad to see it on here.
Entire new world my friend!
Not 5 minutes after Bill makes that crack about Don Dohler's name in the opening credits, I realize this film will likely have actors that were also in Alien Factor (another Dohler film that Cinematic Titanic featured)...and first one I recognize (as young Moustache Dad from Twilight) is Mayor Plaid Pants.
"IT'S BRINGING LOVE, BREAK ITS LEGS!"
The random Mid-Atlantic accent about 20 minutes in and the pseudo Jimmy Stewart are just choice!
I don't understand how under-subbed this channel/these guys are. Goes to show you: subscribers mean nothing.
Spread the word! Help us be appropriately subbed
One of the best Rifftrax HANDS DOWN!
Joe's awkward, weirdly non consistent shirt bothered me the entire movie! Everyone else changed clothes. I will ponder this forever. Great one, laughs galore 😂
Joe has only one change of clothes.
Bunky Hart's finest performance.
Also Bunky Hart's only performance.
One of the best riffs. Imagine acting in this movie and getting resurrected 35 years later by Rifftrax.
"Two questions? Where the hell was his spaceship and what was that lil' glowing ball used for? ???"
I got *two* questions …
2:20 Oh look, it’s the opening credits to _Pod People_
This one is mostly hits! Reminds me of the old days.
the "drive to Wisconsin for fireworks" joke is such a treat. I defiantly remember that from Michigan. The saddest thing I ever saw, was the fireworks stand on the Michigan side of the border, 1 mile away, the big stuff in Wisconsin.... what was that stand on the Michigan side doing? Oh yeah, selling to this guy. Ahh I love the midwest jokes.
Man, this is so much like an Ed Wood movie. The writing, the acting style, the pace and setting. This is just like Bride of the Atom or Plan 9 From Outer Space.
All it needs is an aging Bela Lugosi
“Pull the strink!” “Pull the strink!”
"18 Beers" is one of my new favorite bits from the guys.
The GREATEST ad libbed movie in history……….and the most double negatives EVER. Thank you Rifftrax!
You called him "Young Twilight Mustache Dad". I would've called him "Thin Rowsdower".
"We need to capture this thing alive. That's why I asked you to bring your guns."
59:39 "...ladies and gentlemen! The sheriff sketch."
Don Dohler movie...small town, alien, forest, lots of walking through said forest.
Thank you guys once again. I continue to find solace in your movies since I was a kid way back in the late 1980s during tough times as l am in one right now once again. Your jokes have continued to bring me much joy. If you ever feel like what you do doesn’t really matter, know that there are probably more people like me who you helped who just needed to take a break from their frustrating circumstances. It really means a lot. I honestly hope to meet you guys one day, and shake your hands and just say thank you.
at one time my wife and I bought several of those multi movies on DVD. this movie appeared on almost all of them.
4:12
Dont tell Dana White about the Ultimate Fighting Ostriches else he'll buy it and start a new sport like 'Power Slap' lol
Another classic amazing full riff, thank you guys!
🎵Joe is deeead, but his body is preseeerved by alcohoool 🎵
This is one of those "perfect fit" movies. Its the "some movies" in "Some movies have it coming!"
Kinda hoping at any time the film would turn into Champagne and Bullets (aka Geteven).
The bar scene when they assemble hunters was missing Shimmy and Sliiide
Disembaudio's finest hour!
Yeah. Disembaudio wasn't ready for Mercenary Man back then but would be now.
Classic song.
Right up there with Gtr Noodle from Roller Gator.
Btw....these movies do not spend a dime on music.
That exactly Gtr. Noodle is on one.of my yamaha keyboards.
Press one key.. you have a complete movie score. Lol.
@@michaeljones9301oh man... Roller Gator.
@@Jesse__H there was actually a sequel in the works...imdb

I wouldn’t be surprised if those liquor bottles were legitimate and the cast were actually hammered during filming.
My Best and Only Shirt!
This, ahem, "film" makes track of the moon beast look like a masterpiece
Well, it is full length feature and it has characters. It seems the actors didn't run away in the middle of the shoot.
16:20 “Do you think it’s a meteor?” “No, I made some phone calls to some experts who report something came down with some mass.” “Will others be looking for it too?” “No, I spoke to the Air Force and they think it’s a meteor.” *facepalm*
Man, the Giant Spiders sure could show this movie how to Invade.
You have given me laughs when I needed them most in my life. Never stop being awesome.
Goodness gracious, every character in this is quite reprehensible (especially Thompson!), but that ending was gold 😂
@19:16 "Sorry, I just had some bridge work done"
@20:29 "Let me drool on it a bit"
Hell yeah they're doing a Don Dohler film! Oh boy this gonna be great!
you make life GREAT! Ancient fan. you guys rule the spirit of laughter!
I feel this whole movie is basically "Giant Spider Invasion", only somehow more classless and undignified.
That’s astonishingly accurate.
Hey, you got ur Rifftrax on my Don Dohler! No, YOU got YOUR Don Dohler on MY Rifftrax. [BEAT].. [TOGETHER] Yumm!
The family father is perhaps cinema's greatest villain. I cheer when his facsimile gets tossed off the hilltop!
And who doesn't love it when that one fellow, Frank Custer, drools.
The musical numbers just make everything better. Thanks you wonderful, crazy people!
Thank you Rifftrax!!
"galaxy-invader-galaxy-invader-galaxy-invader-galaxy-invader..."
I can't get that jingle out of my head. That was goofy. 🤣
Rifftraxx is perfect for kids who grew up on early mst. Fresh, funny, great stuff.
I’m pretty sure the only reason they riffed this one is because of 1:15:24- 1:15:30. Also what top notch Oscar worthy editing. Totally forgot that part was filmed twice from two different angles.
I wish Rifftrax were available for EVERY BS/artsy/confusing movie!! Imagine watching Lost Highway or Eraserhead with Rifftrax!!
I'll never get seeing clips of this in the opening credits of Pod People, and wondering when the green monster was showing up
8:30 “Oscar the Grouch has gone berserker!”
This movie makes Setting-up A Room look like Citizen Kane😂😂😂😂😢
Drugs are like that.
That was amazing! I haven't seen a movie with Bunky Hart in it in such a long time!
Hands down the best you guys have EVER done. More people need to watch this. Absolutely hilarious from beginning to end. Please dont ever stop doing these
Man, someone should've written a script for this movie and/or directed it...
You know what's funny, thanks to Dohler here, I actually thought of a cool Sci-fi horror movie that has a similar plot to all of his movies. In short, the idea is an Alien comes down to earth and arrives in a rural area, then shit gets real when it starts killing people. Though, I believe the difference would be it has a unique alien design and copious amounts of gore and violence.
The "chase music" at around 52 minutes in sounds like "The demon barber of Fleet Street" from Sweeney Todd.
The end music and singing was amazing! I laughed so much. BUNKY HART
“Hi, Heaven’s Gate people”
Absolutely one of my top ten riffs!
I saw Rifftrax Live yesterday but I'm still ready for more!
I'm a little sad that this didn't turn out to be that alternate movie title for Pod People, but it looks just as dull and dreary so I'm excited to see it. 😁
Credit where credit is due, that costume is pretty good. Also, clearly the actor playing Pa is a Jimmy Stewart fan.
Aaaw, a true classic by wood walking expert Don "good enough" Dohler. The answer to the age old question :" Why try to make a good movie, when you can make a cheap bad one"
Nice to finally see the movie from the intro of pod people
DON DOHLER WILL BE BACK IN:
YOU ONLY WANDER AROUND THROUGH THE WOODS TWICE
that Bucky Heart synth theme at the end though
📢B-b-b-buuu-b-Buuunky Hartttttt 🎶
17:52 nearly killed me. “Lock up the compost pile and hide the dogs!”
I love this one. I actually have the dvd too!
Y’all spoil us with the full free movies.
Any chance you guys will do the 1985 classic The Peanut Butter Solution? Apparently any child who watched it back in the 80s says it felt like a fever dream (though I grew up in the 2000s, I can see exactly what they mean).
Wait, that movie is real and I wasn't just feverish? But I almost died!
I REALLY appreciate the guys’ permanent references to William Katz and Greatest American Hero lol (yes I’m almost 50)
Don Doh'ler, alien killer....Love the Hooters and the Iron Man references....
I would watch "Ultimate Fighting Ostriches".
If sun-dried wino vomit was a movie.
Thought I'd seen this before but I hadn't. It's incredible and has given me a lot to think about (Joe) the next time i start to dream about living off the grid!!
Plus I love it anytime we get to hear disembodio sing!!
“Mickey, Goofy…your daddy is back”
"Luke, I am your fath- Luke? Where did you go, honey..."
Bunky Hart song is hilarious ! I want it as a ringtone!
James Wen and Don Dohler. Two of the Best!!!
Since you mentioned Christmas, I wish you guys could do "Santa's Slay." It's a holiday tradition for me.
Oh snap, this is a good one.
At 22:55, he's not quite Gumby. Not green enough.
