Finally a video that shows a robot on curved walls and with benches and stairs. Thanks so much! Very informative. Most videos show pool cleaners just with straight walls. I was contemplating to buy this one but it seems it has the same issues as the Degrii Zima that I already have. These things just don't work in my very curvy pool with lots of benches (unless I babysit them the whole time or drive it manually).

I am glad this video helped. Everyone makes these things look like they are amazing and they are in the right situation. My pool pump has been having a lot of problems. So this vac is a great way to clean the pool while I am working on my pool pump. I am going to have to get a new pool pump. When I do I will get my old pool vac connected to my pool pump again and make some comparison videos. That thing used to work really good when my pool pump was working properly.

Great informative video with practical tips. Mine was doing wheelies and not getting all the leaves off the bottom but the basket had a lot of sludge in it. I'll give the regular basket cleaning a go and hopefully that will allow it to get everything off the bottom. Really cool the way it cleans the walls. Once the floor of my pool is clean, I'll set it to wall only and see how it performs.

@@nirod1281 I think the extra fine mesh would be a great way to vacuum up the fine silt at the bottom of the pool. But I think it would clog up the pool vac basket pretty quick. These types of pool vacs have a fine mesh in the pool vacs basket. If you have a lot of fine silt in the bottom of your pool like I do it will clog up the pool vac pretty quick. Once the pool vacs basket is clogged up you will have to clean it or it won't work right. But if you keep cleaning the basket it will eventually clean your pool. The old fashioned pool vacs that you connect to your pool pump skimmer with a hose seem to work pretty good. If you return your pool robot you might want to try a Suction Pool Cleaner. In normal conditions the basket can fill up with leaves, sticks and sand without any issues. But if the mesh in the basket gets clogged up with silt it will start to have issues. So it works great for normal debris but it gets clogged up pretty quick from sticky silt.

They have a few tips on the AIPER website. They said to try and loosen the wheels a little bit. They could be too tight and causing it to pop wheelies as well. If that doesn't help you can also turn on your pool filter and sweep the bottom of the pool with your pool brush. That will help get a lot of the sediment off of the bottom. Then it wont be so bad for the pool vac to clean up the rest.

I have tried a few of these types of pool vacs. They all have the same issue. Once the basket in the pool vac gets clogged up they don't have enough suction to work properly. You will need to clean all of the sediment out of your pool before these types of pool vacs will work. You can try an old fashioned pool hose with a vacuum head on the end of the pole. That will probably be the best way to get all of the sludge out of the bottom of the pool. If it is really bad you may have to drain your pool. Once your pool is clean these types of pool vacs work great for keeping it that way. They will pick up leaves, sticks, and dirt. So yeah it's a great pool vac just not for what I was trying to use it for.

If you can remove the algae with a pool brush the brush on the AIPER pool vac will remove it. But if you can't remove the algae with a pool brush you will have to use some chemicals like pool shock.
