I got the ALG AKT-EL to work in the Galil Ace 545 pistol. All you need to is some light Dremel sanding on the rear of ALG trigger. You want the profile of the AGL to match the factory one. Line them up with a trigger pin. Once you get the safety lever control working by sanding down the included roll pin. You will need to install a regular AK-47 or 74 trigger spring and your done.
Sick setup. I hope they do a full production run. Been wanting one. Btw, nice shirt. A few of my faves are Trapped Under Ice, Terror, Cruel Hand, Expire, Incendiary, Backtrack, Bane etc.
I have the rifle version. Put the KNS grip delete and RS Regulate handguard on. Also put the kns piston in it but I have the keep the adjustment all the way forward so not sure if it did anything. And I put a KNS metal folding stock on it since the plastic one felt a bit chinsy to me. Only thing left to do is a trigger swap to the ALG when I can find one. And I still need to modify my stamed steel AK74 mags to fit, all other mags (plum, circle 10, bakelite) fit fine.
How is the 5.45 pistol suppressed? Everyone says the other models are over gassed. I'm considering buying a suppressor for mine, but idk if I should go with a Deadair or OSS
warning to anyone in love with this gun... till that ammo ban lifts(if ever) you probably won't find any russian bulk ammo for this... but you will probably find that gun on a good deal.
It fairs quite a bit better than 5.56 out of similar length barrels. Round and case design is a lot of the reason why; the 5.45 shorter and fatter case with a steeper case neck (compared to 5.56) tend to get a much more efficient powder burn even in shorter barrel lengths. It also results in lower chamber pressures while maintaining similar projectile velocity. A great example of how well it works in short barrels can be seen in the 500 yds videos that Henry @ 9 Hole Reviews has made using a Krink in both stock configuration, and with more modern and capable optic. Relatively easy hits even with the extremely short barrel.
if i ever get the chance to get one of the Ace Gen IIs in 5.45 maybe y'all can help me make it look less hideous because wew lad, Gen I to II was a MASSIVE downgrade in the looks department

I had the same issue. Wondering if breaking it in will resolve that.
Is the 5.45x39 really overgassed or is there another reason for swapping out piston as usually 7.62x39mm may require piston adjustment or replacement?

Try using the flash hider end cap with your Sandman K, it makes a big difference.

Only the gen 1 was limited. 545 is supposed to be a normal offering in gen 2.
