Just a tip, If you're cartwheeling, turn to the max direction of your steering that you're cartwheeling towards. You have an 80% chance of landing on 4 wheels and not have to go pick it up. :)
Bad ass machine. Was the one I originally wanted but couldn't afford. But the amount of money I've put in to my v5 blx I could of bought one by now lol
Thank you I like tbe way it drives you can change the disks inside Or springs too what I would like to see is progressive springs like on the Promoto so it rides nice but on a big impact it will tighten up on that last bit not sacrificing the driving characteristics.
Great review, this truck seemed very heavy on the runs. The turtles and cartwheels equaled around half the jumps it seemed. I wonder if the shaft bent from the cartwheels or the jumps? Wonder if any one has ever looked into making a aftermarket boss shaft that is thicker? What happens if the shaft does not bend? Will the energy that it took to bend the shaft be critical damage somewhere else? I do not expect you to answer these questions but they are a ponderation. Good video and enjoyed watching as always.
They make heavier axles they are crazy expensive! I cartwheel and jump the Xmaxx for almost 2 years nothing had bent. Not sure if its the length of them allowing flex when it lands or if a tire is spinning it tweaks it when it stops It might be worth trying the thicker ones at this point
Thank you very much I am glad I went to look I thought the XRT would be wider but they are both the same size. The Kraton is considerably heavier. I cant really say which is better its a hard call I feel the Kraton drives more pissed off very aggressive where the XRT comes on a bit smoother. Arrma is cheaper to buy but the parts cost more Traxxas is more expensive to buy but parts are cheaper. Arrma has a 2 year warranty. I feel like the XRT is a bit more durable because of the plastic chassis and my one issue with the 8s Arrma's is bending axles seems to happen a bit too easily. They are both fun I really couldn't call one over the other if weight is a concern then the XRT its easier to pick up and move because its lighter
Well back again lol sold my 6s Kraton exb and took out the 8s officially in the big boy club now going to miss my rig but hopefully the outcast and Kraton exb 8s are the remedy to this rc rabbit hole I have been on 😂
Lol good luck to you I have 4 8s rigs and I do enjoy picking up a lighter 6S too. That's why they make all kinds of cars right we all want something different
I’m torn between the two rn I have an xmaxx and a Vigalante in the works do you prefer this or the outcast 8s exb ? Just curious I plan on dirt bashing mostly
I kind of prefer this over the Outcast maybe because its longer the weight is distributed better it just seems to break less stuff. If your going to be on the ground the lower Kraton would do better plus if you have an Xmaxx and a Vigilante thats 2 monster trucks where this is more of a truggie I guess you would call it kind of fun to mix it up have something that drives different at least I think so
That’s a good point I may just save up for this one I just got through selling most of my collection and just stick to 1/5 scale I only have a xmaxx now lol it’s wild lol
Are you saying theres an adjustment or something with the front diff to keep tires from ballooning?? I just got my k8s and it also balloons the front tires pretty good..
Let me add if your ballooning a lot on turns then you thicken the fluid in the front diff as well most people have the problem with the center diff the front tires come up and all the power bleeds that way thicker oil slows that down allowing power transfer a little more equally
That is a tough question I would say watch some videos see what you like about each I have vids on both cars. Here is what I will say Arrma has a 2 year warranty, Traxxas 30 days on electronics. The Kraton is heavier I feel its a bit less forgiving on a bad jump it is prone to bending axles and this is with normal 5 to 6 ft jumps I dont do big air. The XRT is all plastic it tends to be more forgiving the battery trays while I like them its fast and easy to pop them in and go some people dont like the limitations on size I have Zeee batteries I run so you not stuck with Traxxas. I love the clipless body where Arrma still uses body clips. I feel like the Kraton has a little bit more punch when nailing the throttle but they are both fast the XRT to me handles a bit better for ground running because its wider. It all depends on your style of driving and what is most important to you
@@TMIVRC Dang I love my 6s Kraton Personally I think its good to have a variety of cars if you can its not always particle to take or run the 8S that is my thought I end up keeping everything I cant sell them lol
Bro I appreciate you replying! I mean I love 6s exb but ever since I had the xmaxx bigger is better imo I’m not trying to send stuff like 50 ft just 10-15 ft good landings I would imagine the &s would just be a terrain crusher I live in a dessert area too so many hills and terrain to crush !
Not jumping at high enough man you got to get air tonight you know so you can land it right watch RC dude 81 I think it is he sends it a good 100 ft in the air easily and probably in distance 150 ft
@scottrobillard6905 If I want to be that high I will fly one of planes that takes skill its NOT hard to land at 100.feet come on try correcting when you're only 10.ft I dont find high jumps exciting at all.I am not breaking my cars for views you got.the wrong channel you dont get.to tell me I am not jumping high enough like I said when you or whatever channel you said are flying jets that take real skill talk to me

Good tip definitely trying that
Thanks for your honest review!
Your welcome thank you for watching and the comment

LOL happens that way I bought the mega infraction by the time I made it 3s and added a gyro receiver I could have just bought the 3s version cheaper
yea but if u would’ve but this and upgraded it still would be more money 😂
Awesome review!! Nice truck.. try some heavier shock oil .

Was just watching this video. You’re getting bold with that colvert launches. Looks fun as heck 👍

Awesome truck 🚛
Nice run! I love my K8S. Absolute beasts

The kraton 8s or the traxxas xrt? Which would you say is better and bigger? Great video thanks😊
Thank you very much

Larry nice run with the big one. Jeff in LA USA
Thank you its heavy and fun
Are you saying theres an adjustment or something with the front diff to keep tires from ballooning?? I just got my k8s and it also balloons the front tires pretty good..
Thicker fluid in the center diff will help thats distributes the power from front to rear the other diffs work left to right
Let me add if your ballooning a lot on turns then you thicken the fluid in the front diff as well most people have the problem with the center diff the front tires come up and all the power bleeds that way thicker oil slows that down allowing power transfer a little more equally
Nice beast you got there,im thinking should i get the arrma kraton 8s exb or the traxxas xrt?
LOL decisions decisions I have both and they are great.
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife what should I get?

I ended up going to with the outcast 8s couldn’t beat that price !
I have it too lol they had a great price this weekend good luck its heavy but fun.
I sold my xmaxx for it lol about to sell my Kraton exb 6s am I better off keeping that over the Kraton 8s exb ?
Was gonna use that money to get the Kraton 8s exb

I'm new to RC.....what app are you using for the speed test?
You need the sky rc gps to report the speed to the app that comes with the gps
Can confirm it's not very forgiving with bad landings 🤕😆 but it'll take a beating 💪
