Just bought new clubs for my daughter, who wants to learn the game. I have been golfing for 30 years, and I think this is one of the best tutorials I have seen. Each segment is short, sweet, and to the point. Some very good, simple drills that my daughter will benefit from. Thank you.
As a former college and professional football player I like seeing a guy with some bulk swing a golf club successfully! Nothing worse than trying to learn golf from a guy who couldn't bench 90 lbs when you do 305 lbs just to warm up. Big chest muscles and thick shoulder muscles are tough when trying to make a turn so big strong guys have different challenges from thin lean guys. Great to see an instructional video where someone overcomes these challenges! Heading to the range this afternoon to incorporate the drills!
Have you ever tried slimming down to 90 lbs? Just kidding. At 6'2"/245 lbs, getting the flexibility needed is a challenge. I can only get about a 60 percent back swing, so I take the loss on the drive, but make up for it in the short game.
Typical youtube comments. He is trying to help by showing fundamentals. He hits it solid from what I have seen. Everyone swings different. Just because your swing is different doesn't mean he is doing something wrong! Man! Some of these comments are uncalled for. If he helps even one viewer, then good for him/her and props to the vid! C'mon man!
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to uncover golf tutorial try Boshapra Instant Golfer Boffin (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my brother in law got amazing success with it.
Flop shot: Your second demo was practically a skull shot. It came off very low. Kyle, you are allowed to hit multiple shots until you get it right and then just edit that in as your example of a good shot.
This is simple? This is standard PGA bs. One thing I hate is guys with lines and arrows drawn on their balls (golf balls, heh heh) taking all day to line it up and missing 3 feet left anyway.
+Romband1919 The golf swing is complicate whether you have muscle or not and obvious by your comment that you don't have any muscle to challenge your swing! The great thing is even if your absent of muscle like you or have big strong muscle like him you can still hit a golf ball a long way!
OK guys yes his hands are too forward at address and too far back at impact as he flips at the ball, then he has that over exaggerated right knee move and toe drag trying to compensate with the hit. But all of this is not because what he is explaining here is incorrect. It is instead because he is obviously self taught from books and videos so lacks the refinement a pro teacher would give him.
+Steve Kay Hey, meat head, golf just isn't for guys who have no muscle like you! Guys who could easily whip your sorry rear end who happen to like the weight room as much as they like the golf course need instruction from guys who look like men not golf shafts!
+Rich Thomann Settle down sailor. No need for name calling. Judging from your comments to me and other subscribers I can see you like guys with big muscles. Speaking for myself being a skinny weak bloke, I am into women with normal body shape. But hey man, we are all different. While you love showering at the gym with those type of guys, I prefer to shower with women. I'm not against your your lifestyle, its just that I prefer girls. I wish you all the best in life and hope you find the partner of your dreams and live a happy life looking in your mirrors with each other. Take it easy on the steroids yourself, I believe it makes your testicles look like walnuts. But then again, I would expect you have found that out by yourself. On a final note, please wear condoms as I have heard aids is rampant in your neck of the woods.
+Jesse Spencer Jesse, anybody with a little muscle looks awkward swinging a golf club but some of us like looking like we could/would win a fight if challenged!

they are envious of his muscles;
I have to go to the range just to practice yelling, "FORE!"
Good to know the basics. Thanks
Good stuff
Driving range comment is really true. But... it's VERY difficult to wait 2 minutes between shots on the range.
In only 20 minutes wow...
good
Finally some plain language about mechanics
Hi
LIKED!
Worst grip I ever seen, causing him to flip his hands

Simple.? Long story for simple golf hi hi

+Randsurfer Even Phil and Tiger and yes even Jordon and Rory skull them on TV from time to time!
If you can't swing a club and make the ball go in the right direction, find another activity and save yourself money, time and aggravation.
flexibility is also important, cant be a couch potato and expect to keep that left arm straight
Terrible swing, watch malaska he is a great teacher..
looked at the swing at 0:55 and saved myself from watching the remaining 19 minutes

No width at the top, not one shot from a tight lie all were made from fluffy lies and really TOP FLITE? sorry this just looks wrong.
Another 'expert' telling his 'secret' - ha ha ha ha ha
This might be OK for rank beginners but for others, I think not.
Wtf I thought golf made simple you made it complicated muscle man... Just swing muscle man

Your kidding ? Stick with the steroids and leave golf lessons with the experts.

I could not stop laughing at your reply ha ha. Good one!
Awkward looking weight room muscles swing.

You're like 70 bro, no one is threatened, regardless of your size.
