    I’ve been following you for over 10 years and even bought one of your videos but could never really understand or implement your instructions… till now 😮… I’m obviously a slow learner but it all has come together after watching this video & the “Collarbone” video… for me this explains it all… watched both 5 times per day for the last 5 days then went out and shot an easy 77 in club competition (36 putts 😢)… that’s 4 under my age… seriously wanting to play again … thank you 😊

    I do have a degree in engineering. Force equals mass multiplied by the square of velocity. This is kinetic energy. The club loses velocity when it’s kinetic energy is transferred to the ball. The key of “hitting through the ball” is to prevent you from decelerating before striking the ball and lowering your velocity. The ball doesn’t care how long it took for the club to gain it’s velocity any more than your body would care how long it took for a vehicle to reach 60 mph be it 5 seconds,5 minutes, or 5 hrs.
    In any case, I always come back to Darrell when I inevitably start pulling the club with my arms and slicing. He’s the truth ( other than his understanding of physics).

    The key to all of this is the setup, especially for big golfers. For me, I swing best when my weight at address is over my ankles. If I tilt forward, the club goes more up than around. It becomes virtually impossible to hit the ball solidly with a backswing that's too vertical.

    I gotta' to tell you, if good marketing is keeping your message simple, making the swing look easy and convincing your audience that anyone can do it then this guy's marketing is superb. His message makes sense and he explains it well. I understand it's a baseball-type swing like Jimmy Ballard but this guy's explanation is sooo much easier to understand and POTENTIALLY implement. Of course the devil is in the details, but I've got to commend him for coming up with an entertaining and informative video.

    Amazing how easy this is . No matter how many golf lessons i have I always come back to this swing . Its too easy . You smash the ball . No sore back . No need to think about the pivot , wrists etc . Nothing . All you will have to do is work out the grip ( stronger or weaker ) to get the shot you want .

      I agree totally - adopting this simple natural swing has taken my handicap from 22 to 6 The secret I found is NO TENSION - no strong grip - no extra effort in the down swing - n otensing of the arm muscles just let it happen As a 70yo I drive upto 230metres a 5 iron to 170 metres - Its a simple game

    I can really hit the driver with this swing just turn back and snap it from the top but with irons can't repeat the feeling just not very consistent contact any tips chipping works great also .

    Nowadays players want driver backspin around 2,000.

    • @patrickgiles-ou1dp
      @patrickgiles-ou1dp 5 месяцев назад

      Yes and today’s ball is manufactured to not spin as much to reduce side spin particularly for slices… but DK posted this some 10 years ago when low spin was just coming into vogue… the more you learn how to control YOUR spin the better you will play… high or low. 🙂
