I always get this episode confused with the one where Zach Morris hijacks the video yearbook, to create profiles of his underage female classmates for a video dating service, in order to raise money for a new car. Zach Morris is trash.

They were all actual teenagers when they did this. The show aired from 1989 to 1993. This specific episode aired in 1990. With the exception of 'Screech,' who was the baby born in 1977, the rest were born between 1972 and 1974.

I know you might be thinking I need to lighten up and that the show wasn't meant to be taken that seriously. Most of the time I didn't take it that seriously. It was just once in a while that I thought about it and how shallow Kelly and Lisa were.
Kira Nolan Actually I got the feeling that the writers were the least sympathetic to Jessie out of all the female characers. Everone called her neurotic. She was a walking breathing parody of feminism. If that was meant to be the first exposure to the concept of feminism for the male tweens that watched that show, she was a horrible example. She never missed a chance to call Slater a sexist pig, denigrated all things "macho" (football etc.) and was just generally preachy and self righteous. The only redeeming quality I found in her was that she made it seem believable that she really cared about Zack because they were neighbors and childhood best friends.

All in the course of three or four days, The Gang discovers that Bayside High's school store is unprofitable due to its nerd employees, Zack convinces Belding to fire them, they convert the entire store's layout and merchandise, randomly decide to design, shoot, and print a school swimsuit calendar, "sales" draw the attention of a photographer for a major publication, The Girls are entangled in another photo shoot, Kelly is offered a next-day flight on an all-expenses-paid Paris vacation, Zack attempts to sabotage by turning her friends against her, Kelly goes to Paris anyway, abandoning the responsibility of her new job at the school store. All in a week at Bayside High.
Ahhhh ha ha ha! I would love to watch every episode of Saved By The Bell analyzed this way. This brought joy to my day.
