Mystic Marsh is my all time level so it always makes me happy to find others who also enjoyed it (even if they have a few critiques) Autumn Plains is my favorite hub. I've always found it so peaceful. Zephyrs is my second favorite level and I also super look forward to it every time I play. I thought the whole Romeo and Juliet challenge was clever given Zephyr and Breeze Harbor are at war. I also love hearing what levels other Spyro fans consider favorites!
I’m glad you have Cloud Temples (superfreeze powerup) and Breeze Harbor (fun trolley level and music reminiscent of Beast Makers) on this Best Levels! They’re one of my favorites. Also, whenever I play a new game of Spyro 2, I now always start with Colossus in order to get more gems to pay Moneybags for swimming. For Cloud Temples, I always love when Professor says, “My high tech portal here will take you to Cloud Temples” and then the portal activates. I don’t know why, but I always get excited when he says that so majestically. Plus, Cloud Temples is such a unique name. Plus, I also love Skelos Badlands, Crystal Glacier, and Scorch. Autumn Plains is my personal favorite home world due to its layout and large amount of levels. Great list, Rebel! As for Mystic Marsh, I’m kinda split on that one. The layout was a bit bland and underwhelming to me, but I did enjoy getting Professor’s pencil back. Hopefully, if I get around to playing the Reignited Trilogy, I might change my mind. “Long Glide” is one of my favorite moments ever in Spyro 2 - I’ll never forget that moment! 🤩 Robotica Farms was a pretty interesting level for me to do, as it was always shown next to the Superportal. So it was a cool feeling to go through that portal. As for Speedways, Metro, Icy, and Ocean are my favorite Speedways. Canyon Speedway, despite its easy-to-follow style, felt underwhelming. Plus, Ocean Speedway is mentioned by Elora to be one of Hunter’s favorite speedways, not to mention Hunter saying he has to rest “for the next big race in Ocean Speedway” after his challenge in Summer Forest. Sorry for this being pretty long. I just really enjoy your level rankings a lot - can’t wait to see your rankings for Spyro 3, Rebel!
Thanks man! And don’t worry, I enjoy these long comments! I had to listen to myself while writing, recording, and editing, so it’s great hearing opinions and thoughts that aren’t my own 😅
I also love Zephyr, Breeze Harbor and Hurricos. Scorch and Aquaria Towers are also among my favorites. I actually kinda like Fracture Hills even though it was your least favorite, think the nighttime atmosphere is nice and the supercharges are challenging. And you're right, Autumn Plains is amazing.
Every time I play through Metropolis my next thoughts are always about how much I need to replay the first couple Ratchet and Clank games, Insomniac is just so good at making colorful cartoony robot future cities that are fun to explore
Spyro 2 is a great game but my least favourite of the trilogy. The moments where it shines the most for me are the hubs because they recreate that whimsical/fantastical feeling of the first game and they feel rewarding to explore. Other than that I feel if I was ranking all levels from all 3 games, most of Spyro 2’s levels would be towards the bottom with the exception of the best few. After playing Reignited 1 the absence of any dragons in the levels in Spyro 2 and 3 is really noticeable for me too!
I'm the only one who loves the fact about the Mystic Marsh monkey, are throwing Wumpa fruit at you? What a nice touch, also, I'm impatient to see the "Worst Orbs" video!
Oh geez I totally forgot to bring up the wumpa fruit 🤦🏻♂️ I thought that was awesome! I think the druids in Alpine Ridge feed their beasts wumpa fruit in their idle animation also.
Is cool see all this references to Crash, also, in Spyro 3 , in the Tomb level( I never remember how is called), one of the options of the main riddle is "A Bandicoot", was very surprising seeing a reference to Crash, but not as Easter Egg like those, as something important of the level. I hope if Toys for Bob make the Spyro 4, they keep making this references, also, you should talk about the trophies of this games, cause some are terrible: I don't want to charge through all Mystic Marsh monkeys (but I did it, now I have all 3 Spyro games platinum) they are elite sniper, even if I wait until they stop throwing fruit!
I know this video is a year old, but here is my list anyway! Mystic marsh Sunny beach Skellos badlands Crystal glacier Breeze Harbour Cloud temples Idol springs Zephyr Shady oasis Hurricos Scorch Magma cone Glimmer Colossus Metropolis Robotic farms Fracture Hills Aquaria towers
I did as a kid, but not recently. I have been wanting to replay them, along with the OG ratchet and clinks! If there’s an easy way for me to play them and record gameplay, I’ll def do them when I can!
@@ScummyRebel well i don't know anything about that Technically stuff like that I've no idea However I'd happily watch new videos that you upload Great content my friend
Long story short been waiting for Spyro to Fly limitlessly We don’t know if they will or not include Spyro’s Free Flight Ability in Spyro 4 And to show they have Creative Opportunities they could Research and invent New Level Up Elements and Upgradeable Qualities They could create to help make Spyro’s Unlimited Free Flight Ability more Enjoyable Thrilling Uprising Magical and Rewarding But trying to figure out how to convince the Spyro fans & People to convince the Developers And how I spread the word is still taking time to take effect
Personally, I just love the gliding mechanic too much! It adds to the mystery of how to get to that really high ledge for that out of reach collectible. If they could find a way to implement that without taking away from the discovery element, I’d be super down! Like in hubs, or as a reward for beating the final boss? Something to keep a Spyro 4 fitting with Spyro 1-3, but bringing the flight OUT of the flight levels somehow.
2&3 are spot on! Magma cone and fracture hills as well. Zephyr might be a little too low imo. Colossus is pretty great, but being #1 is interesting. The hockey part always drags it down for me.
@@ScummyRebel I like Colossus the most because I have lots of nostalgia for the level and I love the sound the monks make. Not so much in the remake but the original and I love the music in both versions.
@@ScummyRebel haha thanks! I just really like the atmosphere in that level, and booth minigames is pretty fun. I also like the section where you can glide around the top of the rest of the level, when you have reach the end! I was just as suprised to see you have it in the bottom 3:)
Fracture Hills is underrated in my opinion, I think that a big reason that has to do with why people dislike it is because of the annoying alchemist orb challenge, and I can't say I blame them. That said, it's still an enjoyable level that has some pretty creative enemies, plus I have to admit that those earthshapers make me laugh

I’ve decided that my most favourite Top 10 levels from Spyro 2 are as follows :
( 1 ) Cloud Temples. ( 2 ) Aquaria Towers ( 3 ) Skelos Badlands. ( 4 ) Colossus. ( 5 ) Scorch. ( 6 ) Crystal Glacier. ( 7 ) Autumn Plains. ( 8 ) Glimmer. ( 9 ) Metropolis. ( 10 ) Summer Forest.
Somehow for me hub worlds levels are better than regular ones. Spyro 1 lvl design ftw
Have you ever played Jak & Daxter
