The 100Ah rating is usually at about 20% (C20) of capacity. Therefore discharge could probably be set at 20A for 5 hrs to get closer to the 100Ah rating.

Good test again mate. And I reckon 0.2C is the accepted fair testing load, and your second test did just that.
Interesting that when it cut out, we could see the voltage recover on your phone to just over 10v. Interesting - it probably was 10 v at the BMS.
That heat gun almost drowns you out in a couple of spots. Maybe stick it further away, or find a quiet test load.
Great battery for the price, and for that reason it would be great to see if the internal construction is robust. Be nice to see which cells they use, which BMS, how they connect the cells & leads, and whether the wiring is neat & tidy.

Good point, I should have used an extension lead and moved the heat gun away but it was nice to have the heat while in the shed. I'll need to consider a load tester so I can dial in the 0.2c as you suggested, but I'm just working with what I have as costs blow out quickly on these things and its just a hobby at this stage.

Craig, appreciate you doing these kind of test on various gear. I have always wonder how many things you have tested actually perform as I have considered purchasing many of them.
Thanks for taking the effort and sharing it with all of us! 👍🏻

Good review, I have a 120ah Voltx that works brilliantly. Thanks

I just recently purchased the VOLTX 200AH slimline battery and use it in my vehicle to run fridge, camp lights & travel buddy oven, i have it connected via the Victron 65A SBP ive set the cut off voltage for the SBP at 12.65V ive drawn 165 Amps from it on a few times before the SBP cuts out so i have no doubt id also get very close to the 200AH out of it if i ran it down to 10V (but i don't want to as i want the battery to last) be really good if you could do a tear down on them and gives us your opinion on construction. ive been very happy with mine it cost me under $1k delivered for 200AH.

You got the better version with the bird on side and can run 2 in parallel - i got the Aldi VoltX last year without a bird and has no bird so must have a crap BMS - I think i will build my own 280ah with custom Bluetooth BMS

If you put the shunts next to each other you will get the same results as if they are fifty feet apart. In the series circuit the current is the same throughout the wire.
