You did not even show us how you removed the broken spring bar part stuck in the hole.
Yeah, what was the point of making this video
I agree
Had the same situation. Managed to remove it by using the needle & WD40. It takes some time and patience
How did you get it out? I have the same problem.
Cool THANK YOU, I’ve had this issues almost 10 years... I’m going to try this.
Thanks for sharing never seen it just heard about that. I upgraded all my spring bars to stainless.
Hello may i ask, how big is the screw driver that you used to drill out the lug hole?
I've only searched for a solution, but this reassured me about the fact that i need to rip out my springbar😂
It was from a 1956 ussr watch, oh well, good thing i had spare bars to replace the original ones😢
I've had the same problem myself, so I bought a spring bars pack and I regularly change them out for new ones.
I have the same exact watch and the spring bars broke within 1 year of light use. I got a set of Swiss made spring bars.. they’re much stronger. 22mm. I haven’t replaced them ever since.
Wow. Those things rusted up big time. Hard metal of screwdriver vs soft/corroded springbar. Good fix.
Great work 👍
So how did you remove the stuck spring bars alluded to in the title of your vid?
I drilled it out with screwdriver
Very informative as usual.
Thank You!

i wish you'd be willing to show your process of removal. unfortunately we both learned the same hard lesson and now, i'm scouring the internet for even anybody that's encountered this problem let alone fixing it. i don't have any pairs of needle nose and i don't want to bend it past repair with metal tools. alrighty. best of luck, to maybe the creator, or any other soul reading this.
Wesley Pearson I had the same problem and ended up using a small/tiny eyeglass type flathead screwdriver and slowly bent the spring bar to where it popped out. You can’t get it done without using metal tools. You probably don’t need pliers, just use leverage from the screwdriver.
And the only thing you’ll damage/destroy is the spring bar itself; the watch lugs should be much stronger. Spring bars are like a buck or two a piece.
I had the same issues, you helped me. Thank you.
How it works..?
Did not show how to remove spring bar
Thank you pal. Very useful. We, divers and sea swimmers, don't enough often take real care of our watches. We tend to over-rely on the quality of our watches (I own an Omega Seamaster) and disregard/forget the fundamentals. Like you rightly said, when back home, dismantle the bracelet, rinse it and dry it thoroughly. I personally finish with my lady's hairdryer for a few seconds. I even bought a dedicated Bergeon watch oil 9010 (D5 is as good), just to lightly oil the bracelet internal parts before reassembly. My wife laughs at me stating I over exaggerating for "a" watch. Funny women: "A" watch?!
Thank you
Thank you!, its works😁👌🏽
finally someone who listened I received so many complaints
How to remove?
This method didn't work for me. But I have another solution. I downloaded a vibration app for my mobile phone, set it to maximum and held the phone against the watch until the broken pin fell out😉
👍👍👍👍👍
Also, I know you're not the biggest fan of my strap to watch welding,
But by doing that it eliminates any issues like this also if my hands get swollen up I have a small Clicker on the bracelet that can make make it much larger or smaller without any tools and all of that is made out of stainless steel
that sounds like glide lock bracelet :)
Same case 🙋😅
Explain me what I need to do that remove stuck part
i took a little screwdriver and hand drilled it out
Thanks I will try
Did it damaged the lug holes?
No
@@edcwatches oh thanks for the reply. Nc watch anyway!
I had to pry a link with a screwdriver, too. No tool would work.
You showed us nothing. I have a spring bar that is seized up and I can’t the band off. I can’t apply pliers or any tool because the band is still in the way. How the hell do you remove a spring bar that won’t compress?
For a rusty spring bar just cut it in the middle with a cable cutter, spring bars are inexpensive to replace and you will not damage your lugs.
It looks like my rolex
