    I am so loving your channel! I have entered a season in my life that I knew was coming but had been dreading for a few years. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2021. In April of this year, one month after I turned 60, I lost my husband of 38 years. And even though we knew what was coming, it was impossible to comprehend the magnitude of such a loss until it became reality. There is so much change at once that it is over whelming. I have the added stress of caring for my adult special needs daughter as well. You are an inspiration to me in so many ways. I feel hopeful again, even in my uncertainty about how to move forward and the scariness of doing it alone. So I just came here to say thank you!

    I love your storytelling videos! You sitting in your hanging chair by the fire just talking about life is very soothing. It’s a great format and your messages are inspiring. I’m also learning how to set more attainable goals so I don’t self critique as much and instead celebrate my “small” wins ✨

    So glad to see this video! I think my problem is that I like to have a lot of goals (24 for '24), so I don't achieve a lot of them. I still like to do it this way, though, because I can put some of the "sillier" things (ex. get a massage/find a masseuse) on the list that are just things that I want to do. I have a hard time even doing things that I really want to do.

    YES, doing 1 or 2 rounds and sticking to 30mins is an awesome idea!!! My peri-body has not been nice to me this year, so my workout goals flew out the window in early spring. My lack of sleep was (is) so rough!! So, I decided if I could be active in SOME way for 30 minutes, M-F, that would be my new goal. I made a sticky note list of ways to be active so that it's on my wall calendar and put a red X on the days I did something. The something varies from walking, my own pool workout, pilates, or other workouts 😉. Since I use my phone for my Insight timer and morning alarm, I generally put it away until morning by 8-8:30, and my favorite way to wind down is to doodle or journal or whatever in a notebook each night or just to read a book and sometimes I just lay there and think about things I'm grateful for. Nice job keep just hitting record and going for it!! Being real and honest is your sweet spot!

      Great ideas, Coach! Don’t get me started about my peri body!!! I feel like an alien is taking over my body most days!! I like your having a goal of being active in some way! Most days I have a nature trail I can walk on my lunch break and I just started doing 30 minute Pilates workouts. My booty is jello 😆😆❤️❤️

    2024 was not my year. My goals were to get through my divorce and maintain a home for me and my sons, all while dealing with a health issue that cropped up in late 2023. I'm here and doing ok! Id love to start the next season with time and effort focused on a career shift and keeping my current work stable to support that shift. I had so e previous goals that were on the backburner due to my divorce taking precedence. You look much calmer and happier with this current job compared to when you were under employed. You are still working towards all the goals you set, so I see that as a win! Goals arent about reaching pefection, just moving the inertia. 😊

    I left a good job to set up two tiny homes for airbnb in Tennessee and didn't get everything done to get it going. Currently living in Texas I lost the ambition to continue and decided to sell them but will be loosing so much money and all the time I spent working on them. I just came to the realization that I'm fine working a 9-5 job as long as I have my weekends off. The lot rent is only $200 but it would still be money down the drain to keep them... 1 step forward 3 steps back.

That doesn’t mean we failed ourselves as you say our goals need to be reviewed and ask ourselves is this doable really? Mine went out the window in April, I was having health issues that were not diagnosed until September 😮. My goal for the rest of the year is to take good care of myself, sleep,special diet and exercise 😊 keep filming your a fantastic speaker and don’t pull any punches. “True Grit”❤❤

    Just being aware of what you want to achieve and how to get there is half the battle. 2024 has been the worst year of my life. In a nutshell, I’m dealing with a divorce, moving out of the family home, I lost my Dad earlier this year and trying to hang onto my job. I’m 53 years old with an 8 year old child, so it’s hard. If I went into detail of what I’ve faced this year, you could make a movie out of it (or at least a soap episode!). But I’m heading towards the end of the year with my sanity intact. So I’ll take that as a win!

I’m hoping to be in a new home by Christmas (I’d have loved a tiny home but they’re really uncommon here in the UK) and I cannot wait! Watching people like you share their lives really helps, as I know you’ve had to bounce back after divorce too. But I reckon we’re rocking it!

    Done is better than not, think about it being done, better and best, best is good if that's all you do, better is good if you're not overwhelmed by everything else you need to do but done is what you can achieve with everything you need and want to do, so aim for done and everything else is fine. My aim this year was to get better (health wise) i needed more surgery and spent a month in hospital 😂, should have been 4 hours, oops. But I am so much better now, I can do my own housework and drive again, so I'm going to say personally I'm better. ❤

      @@trailheadtinyNot sure how you mentioned it, just vaguely like would you consider allowing it? As a question. But maybe if you could be more specific. Narrow down days you’d like to be remote based on your work schedule. Like busy office days you work in house, and days when you work solitary you can do those from home. Or if it varies say specifically. I’d like to work two days a week from home, as my schedule permits. And not word it as a question and just sit quietly and wait for a response. Lol. (Hard to do, I know). One thing I know if it benefits them like when I work on these things if I do them at home it will be more efficient because I won’t be distracted, rather than my commute stinks and I have no work life balance, but if your company is forward thinking and wants to support that balance then go that route. It’s hard. If you are one of many if they let you they might have to let everyone, and that might not work.

    You do NOT need to workout an hour a day to be healthy or see results. 20-30 mins is ideal. HIIT, strength training upper or lower body or whole body cardio -switch up daily. Also why are you out at 7 and not home until 6? How long is your workday?

    • @trailheadtiny
      @trailheadtiny  3 месяца назад +1

      You are absolutely right. And I do want to say that I’m not obsessed with working out. I just like having a full hour of “me” time, really. I think opting for shorter workouts will do just as much for me mentally! My work hours are 8-5 and I have an hour commute in heavy traffic both ways. No hybrid or remote options.

      @katiebee8040 3 месяца назад +1

      @@trailheadtiny that’s a long commute and workday-boo. Smart thinking- 1 for you spending the time YOU need that and have each day is perfect. Whether it is 45 mins workout and 15 mins reading or vice versa.

    I also want to make a suggestion.. if you are unable to post longer videos weekly, please try and post Shorts on here so that will help growing your channel and it will ensure your subscribers what they can expect from this channel..
    And 1 hour workouts everyday is not required to stay fit / healthy.. maybe 20-30 mins a day is more than enough and 3-5 days a week not even everyday
