You are the best. I was looking for a way to enable the drill through button on multiple selections from visuals, as without conditional setting, the button gets disabled. You naled it. Kudos! I have an elaboration: I wanted to enable multiple selections from all visuals and still get the button work. I added a dummy visual (pie chart, and made it very small like a dot) and created its drill through page (exaclty like the other drill through page) and added in the tooltip for the user if the button is not enabled, click the dot. It worked :)
Can you drill trough within a current page? Let say I have a productcategory that I selected and a bar chart that has both productcategory and product subcategory. I want powerBI to automatically zoom in on the subcategory once I select a product category. Possible?
Informative. I have a situation for drill through. When I drill through on 1st page, it should takes me to another page and show only one Gantt chart (out of the two overlapped one) as per the criteria selected. Can you pls advise soon?
hi, nice video, can you look in to this? i have a matrix table and user want to navigate to diff pages depending on user selection. Say, button should enable if user select only A and navigated to desired page. if user selected other than A it shouldn't enable and say pls click only A. Can u help me on this?
Hi how can I make a button drill through with a measure on a card. I am able to right click and drill through but I like to make a button to drill thru instead.
pie and donut chart in main report and respective table for each chart on drill through page(single page) when i drill through from pie chart it needs to only show pie chart table and vice versa.is this possible
GRRRR..GRRRR...GREAT video as always Bas! But you know that we are here to challenge you. Is there a way we can move directly from one drill-through page to the other without having to go back to the main page? And of course keeping the selection that drove us to the first drill-through page? That would be super useful. Thanks in advance and keep up the grrrrreat work...
Sir please help me. I have drag two values in bar X-Axis. Item in Y-Axis. Now we can see two different values in single bar. I want to drill through based on single value in bar. Usually we can drill through entire single bar but i want to see based on value selection in bar. How can i do it.
GREAT video. So I have a curveball for you and hope you have some advice. I have a Slicer visual with a list of "VPs". In your example, it would be a list of Manufacturers. For whatever reason, the button does not "Drill Through" when using a slicer visual. My use case is, I dropdown the slicer and select the VP I want to view details or and then click the Button to drill through to the VP details. This button works perfectly if I use a Table visual, but when I use a Slicer dropdown visual, the button will not drill through. Any suggestions?
1) Go to options / report settings, allow visuals in this report to use drill through targets from other reports. 2) Under Drill through, set the Cross-report toggle to On. 3) The fields you want to pass must exist in both data models (same table name and field name, case sensitive).
This is now the third time I have come looking for something on this channel and found Exactly what I was looking for.
Keep doing the Good work.
You do a good job on your videos. I appreciate when you start at a base value and then build on to it. Thanks for your work.
You explained this SO well. I never felt lost or confused. Nice work!
I am so happy to hear this! thank you :)
One of the best tutorials I've seen well done. Well explained and very clear

This was excellent! Thank you so much! Very clear and concise!
Great tip with the drill button. Just implemented it. In the latest visualizations menu it's now called "Text" rather than "Button Text". All works.
Thanks for letting me know!
Another fantastic video Bas! Thank you.
thanks again for watching!! 😀
This was really an amazing explanation . But is there a way to have it conditional while using right click to drill through ?
Very good, very complete, also perfectly edited, thank you very much
Glad you liked it Fernando! :) more is still to come!
Gracias hermano por tus tutoriales eres un "fenómeno". Pero como harías combinando y condicionando un drill through con un para parámetro de campo?.
quite advanced stuff there, but very well explained. Thanks very much!

Thanks for sharing ..:-) Option 2 I don't see it is applicable for tables. for bar charts it works.
Excellent video thanks a lot, how I can use the text in a table as a link in order to go to drill trough screen ?

Does drill through pick filters passed inside calculated measures? I am working on a report that measures are disappearing.
3:29 is awesome method for interactive button text for drill through
Hi how can I make a button drill through with a measure on a card. I am able to right click and drill through but I like to make a button to drill thru instead.
Great video legend!!! keep it up... A quick question.... How to filter by blank dates in PowerBI??
Can the button already be selected/defaulted when a page is entered. Instead of clicking twice, only click on the button?
Thank you. Destination set-up won't work when the report is in live connection to any published dataset. Any thoughts here?
Do you know why the button text measure is grayed out for me on the conditional formatting screen?
Thank you my Teacher

Amazing👌👏👏

How to do drillthrough from one report to another
Try cross report drill through.
1) Go to options / report settings, allow visuals in this report to use drill through targets from other reports.
2) Under Drill through, set the Cross-report toggle to On.
3) The fields you want to pass must exist in both data models (same table name and field name, case sensitive).
New concept but little tricky to understand
Bit tricky, but I hope the video helps implementing it 🙂
Its pretty good, but is time for a one click option to be designed by microsoft
how would a one click option look like?
