Funnily enough, this is how I figured out my friends Instagram account had been hacked. Everything was grammatically correct, and there was even punctuation in his sentences. I brought it up to him a couple days later and he realized I was right-he had been hacked.

it's scary but i actually exchanged a few messages with him but he did not like my safety protocols and refused to meet me in a public place i felt safe at. he was an ass about it so i ended up blocking him and deleting messages. scares me so much when i think about how close i was to ending up in a barrel and reinforced how important safety protocols are.

Especially some of the burns from the cigarettes looked seriously infected. Anyone living the lifestyle takes care of themselves. That was the biggest red flag. I don’t know if I can even be apart of that community anymore. I feel nauseous even thinking about it

One of my relatives was a key investigator on this case back in the 90’s... I remember asking him “what’s the worst thing you’ve ever seen as a cop?” and he went on to describe the crime scene when they discovered the barrels in Kansas. Truly horrific stuff, and this made me realize that psychos like this man traumatize so many more people than you think.
Unfortunately, I have a very personal connection to this case. Catherine Clampitt was my mother’s aunt, and she was living with my mom and her family here in KC at the time of her disappearance. I found out about this while we were looking through family photos and found her picture. My family is white, but she was adopted from Korea, so of course I was a little confused about who she was. But my mother explained who she was and what had happened to her. My middle name comes from her also. Thank you for sharing her story, we hope that she and the injustice she faced will not be forgotten.

I actually used to work in the El Dorado Correctional Facility in Kansas where Robinson was housed and I worked in his cell block, which was either B 1 or B2 at the time. I had heard rumors that he was a serial killer of women but wow...I never realized how bad it actually was. That makes my skin crawl knowing I gave that man breakfast every day. He even used to do that "Hun" thing to me all the time. Ugh.

My highschool AP Chem teacher actually worked on this case. He sat down with me and talked about what it was like to open the barrels and go through the scenes, and just how insane the entire case was for him and his coworkers. It was absolutely crazy to hear all of these horrific details from someone who was there. Shout out Mr. Cooper for being cool and telling me about his experiences.

I read this in a book called Talking with Serial Killers, Dead Men Talking by Christopher Berry-Dee, a criminologist from the UK! It’s also a book series and so far i got two books from the series :) Definitely look into the book series if you’re interested in this case and other cases too.

I looked it up and Heather/Tiffany was 15ish when john was arrested. Her biological fam wanted to meet her, but she only talked to her moms side. All i understood is that she doesnt want to meet her biological father, but she did meet her mom’s side of the family. Her biological grandmother wanted tiffany’s “adopted” parents to keep custody, and they finally officially adopted her when she was 18. She was always told she was born in October something but her real birthday is in September, which was really hard for her because she loved her birthday being in October because of halloween. As of 2019, shes been trying to find out what happened with her mother, and wants to bury her mom’s remains with her grandmother’s.
Can you imagine growing up and all of a sudden finding out that your 'uncle" killed your mom and sold you to his brother who is now your "father". That's a fucking trip!
My family lived in the same trailer park as John, and my dad even worked along side him doing odd jobs/maintenance work. It’s crazy to see Reignbot doing videos on the guy I heard stories about growing up.

I’ve heard this story ad nauseam ever since he was arrested since that storage unit where the bodies were found is just a few minutes’ drive from my house. Despite that, Reignbot being such a good storyteller and the research being spot on kept me watching through the whole thing.
