I'm pretty sure it needs to be an actionable threat. Putting a hole in their wall and saying she'll rip them apart probably should have been enough but the phrase "i'll kill you" can be used without literal murderous intent.

    • @revolverjesus98
      @revolverjesus98 2 года назад +168

If telling someone you're going to kill them is assault, you can just say someone else told you that, and place them behind bars.
Imagine this scenario, I knew you irl, but interactions between the both of us ultimately made me want to get you arrested, and so I got in contact with the police and lied to them about you telling me that you were going to kill me. You'd be justifiably angered by this false accusation because you knew you didn't do anything to prove my claim, right?
That's why they have measures to prevent this slippery slope from happening. You need sufficient evidence to prove someone worth arresting, because words alone isn't enough, nor should it be. People can lie, and people can take advantage of a system like this if it's so easily exploitable.

Some author wrote a novel about the Titanic disaster long beforehand. He literally called the ship the Titan. Artistic people a higher than average degree of psychic ability and creative inspiration can be indistinguishable from precognition. I hate America too but for different reasons. Their racial policies are inherently abusive. In one of his speeches, Martin Luther King decreed that blacks' love for our oppressors should be primarily impersonal and "spiritual" in nature, as opposed to emotional or erotic. I'm a black female but my dad is white, and like most females I instinctively favor guys like my dad. I am nonplussed by this prerequisite for civil rights protection. You can't invade America directly but I verbally attacked Kate Middleton so savagely that I broke CERN, America's cutting edge precognition MACHINE. The reason it broke is to ensure that nobody, American or otherwise, could acquire the necessary information to prevent my proposed attack.

@@toxic_cooper7308 Well by process of elimination it's necessary to invade the Roman Empire. I can understand why their eventual invaders would genuinely despise them, because plainly they don't even respect themselves. The erotically based policy which they covertly delegated to their spokesman Martin Luther King is pointedly violent towards a segment of the biracial population. Organically therefore, they just flatly don't respect themselves. That's the bare bones reality, no matter what diplomatic ploys they implement to cover it up. So yes they've committed grievous atrocities, but they themselves have no value and it doesn't matter what you do TO them.

But the neighbor can move their bed, adults can regulate their body temperature. I'm not saying cater to me I have a baby, but babies can't really help crying or what they can and can't do. They only know to cry. Luckily we are renting a whole house to ourselves now! But believe me, we are more than aware and embarrassed of our crying child. We shouldn't be ashamed but we are. I’ve been cancer free for over 10 years now, and I’d be lying if I didn’t Google those exact questions. I was a child when I was diagnosed, so I couldn’t imagine dying when I had just starting really “living” yknow. Even as a kid, you know what the doctor’s faces mean though you don’t know words like prognosis or malignant means, or when your mom walks out of the room to cry, when class mates bring you cards in the hospital and your dad is asking what you want for Christmas in June. While the police response is appalling, I can also understand where the police are coming from as they likely have bigger problems to deal with and police are just not trained to deal with ongoing mental health problems. The governments have to have a long history of documentation to show that a mentally unsound person must be deprived of "their rights" of personal sovereignty for the good of society and most people are just not willing to jump through the hoops to deal with what it takes to have someone forcibly institutionalized. If you are willing to jump through the hoops, it means that you have to deal with the psychosis in the meantime documenting the assault, harassment, property damage, etc sometimes for YEARS which can be a huge pain. In the end voluntary or involuntary institutionalization is VERY VERY expensive, which likely explains why the mother was attempting to keep her mentally-ill daughter at home with her, despite clearly not be capable to managing someone with that level of mental health troubles. Instituting a societal mental health safety net that actually helps keep people like the daughter from becoming that level of trouble is EXTREMELY costly which is why bills for such things keep getting shut down in state and federal legislatures in the USA. My own sister was bipolar and we spent the last 5 years of her life dealing with her being in and out of mental health wards, which cost a fortune and can't really provide the level of care it would take to provide treatment with lasting results.

I was travelling in occult circles on the internet for years and I had become somewhat friendly with a lot of theistic satanists and occultists of different variations,
for example someone who called herself a Rounwytha of the Order of Nine Angles.
The killer in the last story was influenced by an occultist called E.A. Koetting, who made videos and books about engaging in pacts with demons and the like...
the killer thought he was making a pact with a demon called 'Lucifuge' and that he was going to get rich in exchange for sacrificing women to him.
I know it sounds completely crazy, but the actually crazy part is that I'm not making this up.
E.A. Koetting, the so-called 'guru' that the killer was following, used to be the leader of one of the most effed-up occult currents of all time, the 'Tempel ov Blood'.
He wasn't called E.A. Koetting back in the day though, he went by the alias 'Archaleus Baron' and wrote a book called 'Apex of Eternity', which... I can't even begin to describe.
It's literally a manual about how to kill as many people as possible without getting caught and doing it to 'feed the blood pool' and 'summon the dark gods'. It's honestly wild.

The 9/11 situation reminds me of a story my gf tells me a lot, in Mexico City one day she was driving with some friends and they were below the newest Metro line built in 2012, talking about corruption issues within the country. My gf, who isn’t Mexican but Nicaraguan, asked if there was the possibility of any of those suspended Metro stations falling down, because in her country no such infrastructure exists, therefore it kinda gave her chills to be driving below a whole Metro line, to which the driver, who was also an architect, stated that in no way something like that could happen, making them talk about the infrastructure of the whole metro, to the point that they concluded that if a suspended station was to fall, it would most likely not be the L12 because of it being the “newest and most modern one of them all”.
Well, I kid you not that exact line, the newest one, was the one who fell exactly at the stations my girlfriend used to live and therefore use. She was so shocked by the fact that she was so relieved after that conversation just to end up happening only a week later. Now the Metro as a whole really creeps her out, specially because of other stuff that have been happening over here with infrastructure issues.

For the second story: I have severe anxiety and just about lose my mind at repeated or extended loud noise. I also have frequent migraines. A neighbor was recently using a leaf blower a few houses away while I had a migraine and, despite my rage and the pain, I nicely asked him how much longer he was going to be using the leaf blower. I left and came back when he was done. My point is that just because the girl has mental health problems that doesn't excuse being abusive. If she or her parents refuse to act like adults, however, the smartest thing for the young mom to do is move. I know what it's like to want to beat someone to a pulp for causing me pain but it's no excuse to actually do it.

Honestly the mother shouldn’t have to move. The tenant with the repeated harasser should have to move. I hate loud, repeated, incessant noise too, I am on the spectrum. However I find it infuriating that her behavior was brushed aside. If she is so bad off that she can’t be reasoned with, then it’s up to her parents to do something about it. If they refuse then I’m sorry, but they have to find somewhere else to go. It’s unfair to expect that apartment to just remain empty, or to have the tenants be subject to her abusive behavior. The fact that the police reacted the way they did should have gotten them fucking fired. Your job is to maintain the peace, not ignore when someone is being a constant and unavoidable nuisance. Ultimately though I can sympathize a little, I still don’t think it’s fair to let woman and her parents live there and harass those staying in the apartment next door. She has a problem, that they refuse to do anything about and it’s made the lives of those living next door untenable. That’s not right.

@@MathewSteeleAtheology I understand that, however it lets the people who should be handling this off the hook. This is behavior that has happened before. And nothing was done. The failure of both the parents and the police cannot be understated. If you have someone this mentally disturbed, they need to be checked into a long term care home. Someone like that should not be in the world causing mental and emotional damage to random people. On one hand her reactions are likely not her fault and speak to some serious mental condition, however babies cry. That can’t be helped either. I understand that if moving is the only possibility then they should just move. I’m simply saying that it doesn’t solve the underlying issue of both the non reaction by the police and parents, as well as how that apartment is just supposed to be left vacant so as to not bother what is clearly a severely disturbed adult woman.

There actually was a disturbing incident in german live TV a few years ago. It happened in the show "Wetten, dass...". Usually a show targeted to an older audience. People would claim that there can do a certain thing and star guest have to decide wether ot not they will succeed. It was sometimes small things like taking up egg yolk with chopsticks and stuff like that. But sometimes the performance was more dangerous. And than one day a young man and his father were in the show. The Son, a stuntman, claimed that he could jump over a driving car using those big "jumping shoes". After a first jump everything seemed fine. He jumped high, and made a roll in the air successfully jumping over the driving car. Then the second attempt... He jumped, rolled but he wasn't high enough. His head hit the driving car. He broke his neck live on TV, hit the ground and wasn't moving anymore. The camera caught the impact but was taken off the scene showing the shocked faces of the star guests. Then the live show was interrupted and ultimately said to not go live again that day. The show was cancelled afterwards (it aired a few years later but never was as big as before. For reference: it was big enough to have Michael Jackson as a guest performer). The young man survived but he is paralysed from the neck below. I actually always watched the show. I'm glad that I didn't watched it that day. I only tried to tune in later and was confused that it apparently ended so soon. I later saw what happened in the news. The man was a professional stuntman but sometimes things don't go as planned.

Yes, it would be great if we could all behave as though we have a pact to at least live and let others live, but I know a lot of people won't. Still, I resent even having to feel that way. I'd rather live in a world where two sisters can enjoy their time in the park, minding their own business, and live to see the next day. And they died for what? Money that fool would have never won? The first story sent chills down my spine. I was also caught in a flash flood while driving home with my family. We're very lucky to have survived. Not as much rainfall as the storm that took the young man, but closer to 3 ft of water. I had a weird impulse to open my window during the pouring rain. At this point nothing had happened, but my anxious thoughts got the better of me. The engine got hydrolocked, and the car started to flood with water. The open window came in handy. We grabbed the essentials and as many things as we quickly could, and evacuated the car. A half mile down the road we found an inn. It sends chills down my spine because I know many people in that same flood never made it out alive. Amazing video as always

Death is something everyone has to deal with throughout their life & then when it ends, but we so rarely talk about such things as a society, at least here in the US. The better medical science becomes, the more likely it is that people will have warning of impending death, so I think it's something we need to work on.

Also not to be THAT person but if anything did happen to OP and her family, that police officer would be the first person to spew that there was “no warning signs” because they didn’t want to admit they didn’t take the threats seriously. 🙄

Except no, you cannot be jailed for words alone. You need actual proof they have murderous intent. Edit; furthermore, if words alone were enough to condemn someone, the right (or wrong) person could take advantage of the system, and lie about someone telling them that just to put them in jail.

I’m not necessarily saying jail time because I know what it’s like to say things out of anger without having any true intention. However, in this case I feel the police truly could have done more sooner because there was nothing normal about the person’s behaviour. Yes, the person suffered from mental health issues and wasn’t necessarily a “bad” person but that doesn’t mean others should have tolerate it or walk on eggshells in their own home. Plus, since her mental health was so severe, her behaviour was unpredictable so maybe eventually she would have been capable of murder. I feel the police failed the OP, her family and the neighbour.

15:43 My uncle on New Years 2022 found out he had a brain tumor and decided he wanted to go with Death by Dignity which costs about 1400-1600$. He passed in March and before he went he got everything in order and bought his close friends things like an RV to live in and a new laptop to help become a travel nurse. Death by Dignity is only legal in 3 states and it's basically a bottle of strong medication including morphine so it's a very calm and soothing way to go by OD. My uncle was a month away from turning 62 and as much as it hurts that he had to go it was hard watching him get worse

I can definitely relate to the comment, “it’s easy to want to make each day count, but if I’m happy ..I’m happy”
I was my mom’s caregiver as she died, and it’s a bizarre painful thing to go through when you know you’re out of time. Mostly she was just trying to keep medicated to get through the days. In the last days she would cry and say, “I just love you so much”.

My great grandfather got in a serious injury maybe not to the extent of Goodwin but same to think that he was dead, he was parked checking a logbook on the side of the road on a under over semi truck he was hit by another truck and flew through the window cutting him to shreds the truck was on fire and exploded so thank god he wasn't in it but his bones were destroyed his teeth were in his cheeks and his eyeball was hanging out he was found by a patrol officer who was in the middle of calling out his death when he got up and in my grandfather's own words "I found it confusing that I could see the officer and my boot at the same time." To which he reached for his eye for the officer to tell him stop for when he passed out adrenaline is a hell of a drug, somehow the plastic surgeon was godly and he even looked younger but he couldn't swim again with all the steel in his body, he loved to swim, RIP Great Grandfather you were a badass

That 3rd story about people with terminal illnesses posting on Reddit really got to me. Over the last few years I came across quite a few people on RUclips who told their stories about having cancer or other illnesses, and they'd document their fights and treatments. They'd sometimes receive good news about their treatment apparently working well. Then there'd be bad news again. Sometimes they'd cry, sometimes they'd be full of hope and happiness and making plans, being happy about their treatment working really well. And then, they'd just stop posting. And a family member would post a video message, announcing that they had just passed away. Stuff like that never fails to make me cry.

If I had someone threatening my family through a wall like that, it wouldn’t matter to me what issues they have, I would be getting physical and feel entirely justified shutting them up that way.
No one in their right mind reacts that way to a child crying, theirs, or someone else’s. She was a danger the entire time and the fact that the cops just brushed it off repeatedly is infuriating.

The most chilling "last pictures" I've ever seen is a pair of photos of Regina Kay Walters, taken by her killer. I don't remember the exact context but basically, he had taken her to an abandoned building and forced her to wear the dress seen in the pictures. On one of them, she has one hand over her mouth and the other towards the camera, looking like she's realizing that this man intends to kill her. The second one shows her with her arms in front of her, trying to keep him away from herself and pleading for her life. The expression on her face is harrowing. She has a look of utter fear and disgust but at the same time, she looks defiant as well.

It's the lack of music in the second half that really hits. Like, in the first half it has goofy music and cartoon slipping sounds but in the second you hear the kids cry in pain from obviously being hurt whilst the parents sit by gobsmacked.
