The best guitarist right next to Dime. CC Ive been listening since I was 2 literally. im 33 now and play 7 instruments thanks to you and poison. even though youll never wee this lol
❤❤.. in my home my mother called Christopher Cross noise and told me to turn it down lol.. nice pleasant🙂.. Now my dad on the other hand, I didn’t get to know my father very well until I was 16 when he moved closer to me in Arizona the next place I grew up when I was a kid .. my father was into the big band Frank Sinatra the rat pack you know I naturally gravitated towards musicians Etta James that I picked up on my own.. Until I met my friend.. Mike who died of diabetes and health complications.. he was like my brother.. I would talk about music and he would always have a record for me. That was his specialty and he taught me a lot about other music and other genres. I’m very fortunate to have such a wonderful friend.. thanks for sharing these videos sharing your thoughts and these videos.. I’m even more impressed than I already was .. blessings!.
@@jamescarter8421 Hey, James Carter! I'm going to reply to the same 13 year old comment as you, within a fortnight of you doing same! And I'd like to say that CC was my first guitar hero, just before I found Slash..and even though Slash takes my all time favourite lead guitarist award..CC wins the all time greatest solo award with Life Goes On. Yup..my three big influences....CC, Slash,, Scotti Hill..Poison, GnR, Skid Row.
Yeah, yeah, yeah the good old metal heads NOW & Forever - I like to listen to 80's songs on the good old vinyl records...there is a certain warmth on vinyl that you cannot find on cd's and the like....
@yourallbrainwashed Kurt actually did a great thing for music, incorporating a lot of elements into his songwriting and providing us with great songs,it was actually the right move to go for a different sound instead of trying to fit into the metal mold. All the bands that u mentioned actually did and they brought authenticity to the scene,a new breath. And really,it's all the same thing,no sense in making distinction of genres,it's all rock and roll and it's the best
Not sure why people always seem to bag this guy and his band. I think Poisons music is just good times metal that doesn't take itself too seriously - its good stuff to listen to if you feel a little blue.
CC was underrated Guitarist. My Friends & alot of other said he wasnt good. 86-90, then in 91 Nirvana comes on the scene & they thought they were great, when actually Kurt Sucked at Guitar
I Respect him, He really cleaned up and changed. Became a good guy i respect him a lot! But Poison to me i like them but there more of a guilty pleasure band to me, And Bret Michaels gets on my nerves nowadays! And i think CC deserves better he's a good guitarist
Well, I'm glad to see that you do end up recognizing that C.C. has some real taste in music- after you bash him. Actually, to be honest, there's a lot of truth in what you say. But we ought to be glad that he's grown up and out of the narcisstic heaven/hell that being in Poison must have been.
@yourallbrainwashed yes true BUT also theres some good songs, like the Beatles Musically john & george could never compare to paul Gilbert or Marty friedman but they had some good songs. theres always been lame music. Metal was giving more attention 82-86 Qiuet Riot even had a #1 LP. at the time. now a days it been getting more attention & thank to younger kids like you who have discovered Great Music
Actually no he didn't Kurt just didn't want to show off. See there's a big difference from making good guitar parts and just going up and down the neck showing off.
I'm not sure if your just a kid, or did too many drugs that you don't remember, but Zach didn't join Ozzy until his 14th album, so Zach really had nothing to do with Ozzys successful career. Tony Iommi(1968-1978,1996-1999,2001-present) Randy Rhoads(1979-1982) Bernie Torme(1982) Brad Gillis(1982) Jake E. Lee(1982-1987) Zakk Wylde(1987-1992, 1995, 1998, 2002-2004, 2006-present) Steve Vai(1994-1995) Alex Skolnick(1995) Joe Holmes(1995-2001) Jerry Cantrell(2004-2006)
@MetalHeart8787 CC is a great guitarist but however,he played for Poison, which wasn't such a great band.On the other hand,Kurt was a good guitar player too,but his style was much different, just a much simpler approach. And his band is fucking great,so Nirvana will always top any hair metal bands cos they broke the mold, that's what rock music is really about
I prefer the 80s but I like kurts music too. i can praise him and put cc down and vice versa for certain aspects. i kno how annoying it can be to talk music with someone and all they talk about is the new and then hate on the old. Im the beiber gen but i dont get really angry about it. kurts music is not bad. dont hate it because of some crap people told u. like or hate it because u genuinely dont like the style of music. then at least your anger doesnt look so misplaced and counter cultured.
it so happens that when the whole "grunge"thing happened(even grunge sounds like something dirty, sickly, awful, bad and most of it is)i said these guys found the grunge sound when they were "trying" to play metaland i know i was right, because i am right ,im a guitar player and grunge is simple 3 chord rock played wrong purposely to sound angry or sad.
a professional musician? so was Kurt he was in the Music industry. Yeah Playing fast wasn't his style BUT im just referring to the fans/kids that praised kurt after putting CC down. well of course VH was a different level ed did some amazing stuff & the 2 that gave him a Run was Rhoads & Malmsteen. but were all great in their own special way. i can't compare shredders to regular Guitarists.
Some of the best things about youtube are the people who reply to comments that are 3 months old. That and the sorry pile who reads through an entire paragraph that has nothing to do with him and makes a comment about spelling. Get a life and have a great day ;)
@MetalHeart8787 i never said he wasn't better than Kurt... two completely different styles of music and two completely different styles of guitar playing... when i saw him last year with Def Leppard and Cheap Trick me and my best friend were 3 rows away from the stage on CC's side... and trust me he's gotten a lot worse in 10 years... and Randy and Eddie are both in leagues of there own... personally i think CC Devil both while being underrated is also overrated
I though C.C. was a poser with no talent, until flesh and blood came out.And im like🤔:This guy dont belong to that band he needs to explode that talent in something more challenging💪🤔
@sblopez08 he was better than kurt. i saw poison live also in 2000 & i watched cc's every move & he was Good live even sang a song (i hate every bone in your body) i listened to CC i mean very closely because by 2000 ive heard many times how shity he was. yeah theres Many Guitarists better than CC thats for sure. i go by songs, i love kiss but paul stanley is a terrible guitarist. ive seen Footage of Rhoads & EVH & they are both flawless / Awsome. VH & Ozzy songs are just great songs
@ianxxrock what is Reading gonna do? i knew about him when he came onto the scene & he had a good attitude BUT was a druggy! so by 94 it ended, yeah ive seen several documantaries on Nirvana & like i said they were good guys, just OVER Rated. im refering to Musician friends! Not 15 yur olds who thought Nirvana was the "best new thing"
WOW well first of all I knew shotgun Messiah when they came out in 1990 from the head Bangers ball, Don't care about Nothing was a Great song & bout the second coming & Violent new breed. wild side well i heard them but never got into them. so you lost there & you only mentioned 2 Bands! I could name of bands you Never heard of but why waste time? theres many people that never heard of this band or that Band, ive talked with many Dumb asses that said the same thing to me. i proved them wrong.
kurt didnt set out to be good on guitar. if he had he prob would have hired someone. u miss the whole point of his music. c c is a professional musician so he is already better the your average joe, but hes a run of the mill guitar player. he writes very good riffs and hooks, but he doesnt blow me away like eddie van halen.
@MetalHeart8787 CC's not that great either... he was extremely sloppy... not saying i'm better or anything, he had a great sense of writing guitar music... but honestly when i saw Poison live he was pretty horrible
kurt cobain ruined music. if we where smart we could take those odd sounds that alterative produced and incorparate them into oldschool heavymeay and create something really beutiful.radiohead, nin, smashingpumpkins and nirvana all have something nice to add to heavy metal.
That proves my Point, you think Nirvana is/was better than Accept & Loudness. WOW Then you mention Malmsteen well he is more like them than Grunge shit. Grunge came to a much needed end also. you could name off 80's Bands that i haven't heard of? LOL yeah OK swing out sister, & echo & the bunny men DO NOT count. im Not gonna argue about it. Nirvana sucked & that's MY Opinion.
Ok Shotgun Messiah? How about Wildside? and if you google it and then say u know it then your full of shit. Ya I do like Nirvana better then those bands, but I like Yngwie much better then Nirvana. I've listened to my copy of his first album Rising Force way more times then Nevermind. Asia, Van Halen, Winger, Dokken etc the list goes on. Some bands I like better and some I don't. I said I like the 80s better.
I LOVE THE GUY. Have met him. He's a sweetheart.
I like him better now!!!! Sober!!!😊😊😊😊 ❤ His story telling fascinates me!!!!😊

He is a great guitarist, however, he was sloppy in the studio for recordings. Then again maybe he wanted some leads and riffs to appear to be sloppy.

@LilLoveTrooper If this is what it is like to be "all hopped up" on cocaine, that seems like a pretty boring drug! He seems sober to me.
