Thats the type of voice Sheldon used on his last speech on "The Big Bang Theory". A more sensible and caring voice. Maybe because we know that at the end he becomes caring and considering person.

Its the power of puberty . Actor's voice hasn't settled yet . After the voice cracking stops voice gets higher or lower(its from person to person) for a while and then it goes somewhere in the middle.

I’m sad that Big Bang Theory is over, cause now I really really want to have seen an all grown up version of Paige meeting the gang
Give it 10-15 years, they’ll reboot the show and probably call it “Sheldon and Amy”. They’ll be parents to their kids and Sheldon will probably be dealing with his mistakes and how he acts. If 12 years can make him do a 90°, I’m sure another 15 can have him go a little farther
There is a fan theory that Penny with actually Paige with memory lost. The original intended storyline for TBBT is for Penny to ended up with Sheldon. Not Leonard. But Kaley Cuco that played Penny doesn't want to do it. Chuck Lorre therefore change the idea so, Penny will ended up with Raj. (Hence, the episode that Penny and Raj slept together) But Kaley Cuco still doesn't want to do it. That is when they allow Penny and Leonard to be together. Leonard in the show's original intention is never suppose to get the girl. I think Chuck Lorre is intending to redo it again with a knock off version of Penny. (I think Chuck Lorre must really regrate casting Kaley Cuco as Penny after this. Honestly, I am thinking Leighton Meester might do a better job and she will for certain be willing to go with the Penny and Sheldon storyline, her own life experience support the idea.)

When this show started I thought it was a stupid idea. But since then I have seen it is an amazing expose into the maturity and growth of not only the main character, but of the entire family and friends. Bravo.

Here is my problem with this show. The character of Sheldon can't grow. He can't have real friendships. If he does, he can no longer be the adult Sheldon Cooper we see when TBBT starts.

They changed it to be more palatable to a modern audience but it is no longer accurate with respect to TBBT character of Sheldon. It would be like making a series called Young Leonard with his mom becoming kinder and more loving just to please audiences.

I reckon it's pretty cool how they keep the cast persistent through this season and not change them overtime. I don't think some people realise how much of a contribution this adds to the show. Also adding more drama to it really shows how much sheldon has grown up after the other seasons to make it more exciting.
I would love to have seen an adult Paige on TBBT. She's the most interesting and undeveloped character on Young Sheldon.
Agree that Paige is a very interesting character who could be explored more. But at this point she's already a little too dark for this quirky comedy. Elizabeth Plimpton fits in the TBBT universe, albeit as a non-regular character. I think Paige in YS provides a comparison point to Sheldon's developing personality. But I can't see her serious character to be a regular on either YS or TBBT.
Why? She and Sheldon don't end up together.

I have a fear that we're being set up for something bad to happen to Paige. She's a very troubled girl and I think her engaging in some self-destructive behavior would be very in character.
The loss of this particular friendship would scar Sheldon in ways that might impact his ability to form bonds with the female gender for years to come and help shape the man he becomes.
I was literally thinking the same and was going to comment it when I read yours..

Looking at Sheldon and Paige and comparing them to when they appeared on screen together you realize just how much older they've gotten
I know it's canon for Sheldon to eventually end up with Amy, but I just feel like Sheldon and Paige are such a good fit together and I totally ship them.
Um, no. The reason that Sheldon and Amy work is that both were socially retarded (until they changed Amy into more of a person). Paige is just a regular girl trapped with the mind of a genius. The episode where she has a sleepover with Missy is an example of how different she and Sheldon are. Young Sheldon is an absolute freak and it pisses me off that he is never disciplined for being a rude prick day in and day out. You look at adult Sheldon and it is a product of his never having any consequences as a child.

Sheldon and Paige are a good fit together? The only quality that they share is preternatural intelligence. That's it. Nothing else. Sheldon lacks any social awareness. He is selfish, narcissistic and unapologetically rude, and he cannot relate to anyone who is not like him (and even Dr. Sturgis has a heart, sexual needs and some social awareness). Paige can have fun with someone like Missy and she can relate to other people and to societal and human norms. Sheldon cannot. Page is a regular young girl whose intelligence may be a curse. Sheldon literally is a freak and not in a good sense (unless he is on the autism spectrum, which the producers have always insisted he is not). Assuming that these are not fictional characters, that anyone can suggest that those two could "end up together" confounds me.
I can relate to this. Female friends used to always come stay at my house for a couple of weeks after breaking up / moving out with their boyfriend.

When I was in high school, I was so focus on getting into college I didn't want any distraction. I had a girl I like and she like me too and I friendzone her, because I didn't want to be distracted by boyfriend/girlfriend term. We very much just remain friends and after high school lost contact. Just because you friendzone someone, doesn't mean you don't like them. It is just for various reason, you don't want to pursue a relationship.

And the best part would have been, she would have actually helped hum mature long before his friends in TBBT did, they usually just put up with it in the name of friendship, whereas Paige really challenges him to see the whole picture, and still cares for him as a friend. That's not to say his friends weren't good, but that Paige would have been a better help to Sheldon, a more quick witted and smarter Penny who could challenge Sheldon in his own field too.

Missy fills in some of the gaps that Sheldon has. She was concerned for Paige where Sheldon should have been.
Also I like this new look on Paige.
Sheldon was concerned, he was putting together a package for her. He just didn't realize how serious the situation really was like Missy.
Missy is the empath who has the social smarts and awareness that Sheldon lacks. We start seeing this in the episode where they participated in the twin study.

While I've become a fan of both shows through RUclips clips, I'm actually beginning to love Young Sheldon more than TBBT, AND I find the banter and relationships between Sheldon and Paige, and Sheldon and his siblings to be the highlights of the show. I understand they don't want to make continuity errors but if they were to break the rules, I much rather see a movie all about Paige and Sheldon rivalry around a science contest, with hijinks from everyone involved with the Young Sheldon cast.

@@KNight-jb6mk Their banter is so good, that I think the Young Sheldon writers accidentally created my new fav character Paige, and now I demand to see adult Paige interact with adult Sheldon as well, continuing the feud years later. :P I have a feeling that she would be a more successful adult then Sheldon, because she actually understands social cues.

Adult's appearance changes much more slowly than kids. A kid looks different every year but it takes an adult 5 to 10 years to look really different.

I would like to know where Paige ended up: they should have found a way for her to be on TBBT.
Paige's character should have been named Elizabeth Plimpton (Judy Greer), making her the brilliant nymphomaniac that was inexplicably friends with Sheldon.
Maybe Paige ended up as an engineer and Sheldon is thus ashamed to know her. But if that's really the case, I'd LOVE to see her interaction with Howard

Edit: also my main point here is that Young Sheldon is significantly different from Sheldon (TBBT). Even the writers once said that they would change some aspects. Young Sheldon is considerably sweet and less spoiled than Sheldon (all the “past” characters are more developed here, like Sheldons father and brother, as it should be).
So… being a different serie, I wouldn’t mind a different finale. Even tho, I know this won’t happen since the fans are too strict.
Btw, I love Amy, cause I’m old enough to remember Mayim (Blosson) as a kid ❤️.
Tbh with how close paige is with sheldon, she deserves an invitation to amy and sheldon’s wedding. The only excuse they can make up for it in the future is if (i hope it doesn’t happen) paige dies or she goes to prison.
They don't make sense together. Amy is fine with Sheldon's preferences. Paige probably isn't. Companionship is highly valued even if you don't get romance out of that relationship.

@Wei Li The tea is a notable exception. In general, he tries to ignore her. And he didn't really do much to help her here. He ignored her when she came to him for help, giving her no emotional comfort.

I suppose her parent's divorce had a huge detrimental impact on her. Plus her being a gifted child may have suppressed her right-brain development. In layman terms, Paige has had little moral, emotional and directional support.

I wished that Young sheldo is in fact stand-alone series that has nothing to do with BBT. Because now it just feels like they are rushing the story to the point at which BBT starts, and as a result, a lot of characters are not really given a chance to be properly introduced. I would love to see more about Paige, , more about Georgie and Missy and how George left the family, more about Connie and Dale.... Especially about Paige, the relationship between her and Sheldon is really interesting and pure.
Dont get me wrong, I like what they are doing so far with the series, it is really nicely written and acted. I just wish it had a wider scope with a bit more of just about everything

Bingewatched all 5 seasons in a week didnt even realize they've all grown up. It feels like growing up with them. Sheldon even has a deep voice now. Well at the start of season 5 Sheldon didn't have that deep voice yet tho. Its getting deeper as more episodes went by.

I wish paige was in BBT or was at least mentioned in the show. It feels weird that she's not part of the story since she has a big impact to Sheldon.
Sadly, Paige's story is getting more and more dark. I wonder if they inserted her story line as a cautionary tale about what might happen to kids who are too smart. She made a great third sibling figure with Sheldon and Missy. But she may end up as one of those smart people who burn out or just become weird. Will she end up becoming another Elizabeth Plimpton or Dennis Kim on TBBT?
I like the paige storyline on young Sheldon alone. Did you know a lot of child geniuses are like paige? Once they get to university they struggle to connect and drop out. Or if they graduate do nothing. Look up the man with the highest GPA. He is a great example of Paige, and probably make sense later on why the character never belonged in tbbt.

I'd say Missy knows Paige more than Veronica. Paige is over a couple of times, they've gone to the mall together, they had the church retreat together and enjoy teasing sheldon together.

I don't think she is off the show yet. Her appearances in the show are rare (only once or twice a season), but she's still an important enough character and popular enough with the fanbase that the producers are going to have to come up with some kind of an explanation for why she never appears or is mentioned in The Big Bang Theory. Until that explanation is provided, I'm confident that we can expect to see her at least one more time some point down the line.
