GREAT amp. I've owned mine now for about 1 year. Purchased the GMD40, speaker cab and the midi foot controller. Playing in 2 bands that require different sounds for each song...this amp fit the bill perfectly. Reduced my pedalboard to almost nothing and now control everything via the FSM midi pedal. One push of a button and it can go from "I'm Broken" into "Brown eyed Girl". Through the speaker cab or straight into the board using the "redbox" feature. Sounds amazing. I would highly recommend Grandmeister Deluxe 40. I'm no expert but, Please Feel free to ask me any questions. Thanks H&K for an amazing piece of gear.

Alec, can you use the speaker cab and redbox at the same time? Is it possible? I don't know much about it and my amp comes Friday. Appreciate any info. Thanks

Now this guy can play. To be honest I was going to purchase the new EVH Iconic. But because of this guy I am purchasing this amp. Amazing. I wish this amp came in another color to match my brown natural looking cab.
I rewind his solo playing just to listen.

Had my eye on the 20 for a while, but that new Tremonti amp is tempting.

For classic rock, hard rock, old school 80s heavy metal the H&K will be probably better but for clean and heavier stuff the Tremonti amp will kick ass I think ;-).

Eh, for me the GM40 wins hands down. More flexibility, more practicality, more power (although it can run quieter than the Tremonti). The Tremonti amp does have some damn good gain on it though.

6:43 I'm not convinced by this ''metal'' segment. Seems loose and undefined.

Eye plays da grandmeister 36, so does this mean I'm four watts shy of a "happy meal?"
