about 1.5 year ago i switched to davnci resolve coz of you, and so far you prove to me that you latterly covered the most simple and complex questions that i had ever since i started to edit in davinci resolve ..... i can't thank you enough Casey God bless you bro god bless you
Hello Casy Faris, thanks for taking the time to make this video on Davinci Resolve. I had no idea about this at all and will benefit from knowing about it, along with using Scope!
Awesome video! I know with Davinci Resolve I can export multiple clips into seperate video files.. however I can't seem to figure out a way to do that and upload directly to youtube. In other words can only directly upload to youtube one at a time.. vs being able to upload multiple to youtube at once. Is there something I am missing or is that just a limitation I have to live with?
@@CaseyFaris thank you Casey! That actually may be workable... but take a bit to set up. In short due to the way shorts work volume is key.. so I've got a batch of 2300 and that continually is growing. If youtube studio didn't have a 100 limit id probably use it over uploading from davinci. Keep up the great work and appreciate your reply.
Thanks for this. Helpful. ...I wish there was a "Color Corrector+" node in Fusion with an expanded/more detailed Inspector similar to the color page. 90% of my work happens in Fusion and so I am constantly tweaking color using the Color Corrector node. The Fusion Color Corrector node works fine but it's just a bit clunky.
Very interesting video 🤔 I've been having a very annoying problem since the last update to the free version....media offline when it's not offline at all. Have you gotten that too?
Oh yeah, I get that all the time now. Usually what I do is duplicate the timeline I'm working on. Then I work on the newly duplicated timeline (after decomposing it) instead.
Great stuff, Casey!!! Trying to figure out how to fix this/these is the kind of thing/s { of many } that drives us who are still in the 'between Novice & Intermediate learning curve zone CRAZY(ier) !!! . Thanks, Chuck (N.E. Florida) : +)
Hi Casey - Ever since i installed DVR 17 my fusion just doesnt work anymore. I realise that my MacBook pro does not have much power (just 8GB of RAM) but still..... any solutions??
Actually I didn't knew that method! I use tu premultiplied the color corrector node. That do the same as clip alpha values. Nice method will switch, better to understand the node tree
Lol when u said u were hesitant to record this vid cause it could be obvious to some people I was like dude, I didn't even know you could remove the background like that. I thought the only way was to use green screen. I know it's not really removing the background per say it's just layering on top a certain way but it gives that effect.
Any time you are combining using math you are going to want to clamp your black values. Alpha gain acts just like an add so mathematically what you are doing is adding a negative value, making your scene darker in the areas with values below 0.
Hi Casey, great tutorial. I was wondering if it’s possible to edit a video in Davinci and make it like this: ruclips.net/video/f3B3_RRb1UM/видео.html&feature=share Making the keys light up behind the fingers seems impossible to me. I would appreciate any advice, thanks!
Yes, Casey. I was confused by this many times in the past and kinda just ignored it because I assumed there was no solution. Now I know better.
Holy smoke, now it make sense 🤯. Thanks Casey, what would we do without you.
Wow. This video is such a keeper. I know I will come back to it one day.

Neve assume something is "Too Easy" or "Too Obvious" someone (Me) will always learn from it. Many thanks!
Dude. You are so good. Head to Hollywood.

I was JUST having an issue with this! Out of my mind. Out! Loving the quick tips :)
Love these kind of tips - keep em coming.
Thanks for putting this video up! This was totally not obvious to me. These little "beyond beginner" tidbits sure help to deepen my Resolve knowledge.
Awesome Casey. Didn't know that. Thank you.
This is great! Quick and simple tip
HAHAHA! I watched this when the video dropped and just needed it - FIXED my issue lickity split! Thanks Casey! 👍👍👍

Yep you can’t render multiple clips from a timeline and upload to YT. You can queue several timelines and have them all upload though.

Ummm...no....was NOT obvious to me. I found this VERY helpful! Thank you! (like #199)
Thanks! Simple fix but if you don't know you don't know. Saved me hours (again) Casey!
wow this is super useful, thanks!!
Casey is there ANY way to burn you work to a dvd for viewing on tv? I have made a project that I want to share with family.

Great vid Casey!
hi Casey,
I have a question: when working with green screen, should I color grade before or after keying it out ?
thank you
PROOOOOOOO tip! Amazing! Thank you Casey for all your videos. I'm glad I'm also view #22 on this one ;)
Very interesting video 🤔

I lost the bottom part where you connect merge and the nodes, can't see it
Wait... The alpha gain does what?
That's the big reveal for me. That the alpha gain makes the merge behave like a screen blending mode
It’s more like an Add from what I understand. Still trying to understand and play with stuff tho.
Great hint!
Thanks for this Imp Tips
Yeah, that was totally obvious... after you explained it! Who knew you could have negative pixel values?
Thanks. I did not know this.
Black which is darker than black 😀
I liked this one
Thanks for sharing
can you do a review of canva?
Thank you
Please make a video on how to add the stroke/outline to your picture in Davinci Resolve for making RUclips Thumbnails
Look at his video titled "Awesome Freeze-Frame Callout GFX in Resolve 17! - Advanced Fusion Motion Graphics Tutorial"

What happened to "videos on DaVinci resolve here on RUclips"?
Haha keeping it a lil loose, cuz expanding a bit.
Thanx God, i subscribed a time ago:)))
Not obvious. Nothing is obvious. Thank you.
Now I know there’s a fox! Thaaaank you
helpful

just switch on premult in cc option its easy method....
