0:23 Fun fact: the voice of princess peach in super Mario 64 was a different voice actor called Leslie Swan than newer games and for the DS version they wanted the same voice actor so they used her lines. It was then Jen Taylor, Nicole Mills and finally now it’s still Samantha Kelly. Not sure what years they voiced her. The last three people used a similar voice except Leslie Swan’s voice of peach. That’s why the voice sounds different.
Leslie Swan also appeared in Super Paper Mario. No one else was available to give the voice and Leslie was still working for Nintendo so they asked her to voice peach

Fun fact from Ashley: I never played the original Super Mario 64 as a kid and instead my SM64 game as a child was the DS remake. I remember other kids having it, I played it and I remember playing the multiplayer mode with other schoolkids at the Kid's Time Daycare. I even have it on my Desmume emulator with the game almost finished. :)

This game was my first game that I played in 2022. And the last one was the Word of Light in Súper Smash Bros Ultimate.

Super Mario 64 DS, One of the First Mario Games I ever played... I didn't even knew that this was a remake of Super Mario 64 from Nintendo 64 when I played It for the First time. I didn't even know what was a Nintendo 64 😅

Tip: if you go to the first level again you can find goombas with mario hats, if you eat them you can become mario amd race the guy at the start
Was so disappointed that it wasn't this version in 3D All Stars. I'd say this version is better in all but movement, which is admittedly a pretty huge part of 3D Platformers. If they remade this with 64s movement it'd be the definitive version.
He also ran this version in 60 frames too!? Again this is so weird seeing this run in 60fps

The one issue with sm64ds is the controls. Using the dpad isn’t the best with a 3d game, just try to get used to it

I think the 60 fps mod is making this game even harder because everything is moving so much faster than usual
ZXMany: This is because your suppose to used the mega mushroom to get the red coins with the jump scared piranha plant location, the mega mushroom in Whomp fortress appear starting in star 3, and it is in the red brick, and they are 2 mega mushroom. if you are in a star before that it will be a 1-up mushroom. In Bob-omb battle field mega mushroom start to appear in star number 4, yoshi can get it by tossing bob-omb at the red brick, and the other way used the mario hat to turn into mario, but yoshi will be giant mario with deep yoshi voice, also the mega mushroom makes the behind the chain chomp power star easier since any character become heavy like wario while under the effect of the mega mushroom they only need one ground pound to free the chain chomp, and also any character that is not Wario can break the black brick with mega mushroom, Wario can break black brick with and without the mega mushroom. Also in this version of the game you only need to ground pound the pole 3 time to get the 5 coins, also you can also smash it with the effect of the mega mushroom to get the 5 coins.
I can't believe that today 1. ZXMany is playing Mario 64 ds and 2 it is the last day of 2023

ZXMany: you where using an emulator and Rom is that correct, this is why the extra glitches that happen that never happen in the original Super mario 64 DS, even the official one from Nintendo that you have to Buy on the WiiU e-shop, does not glitch like that. Are you serious you did not see the mario hat in bob-omb battle field since you needed to be Mario but since you can't unlock Mario this early there is a mario hat in bob-omb battle field, to bad you did not look because you miss a really cool mechanic.

Try listening to the merry-go-round music while asking Boo laughs. It's slightly maddening, though.
I don't know if this is a hot take, but I prefer THIS game more than the original. People don't give me credit for saving Mario, Luigi, and Wario (come on, guys). And this version comes with Minigame AND 30 more stars than the original. And the original Mario 64 feels more bland going back.
Also ZXMany, considering how the cutscenes are sped up (you can tell becaise in the intro i still move at 30 fps)if you had an fps hack, that's where the glitches are coming from. Because the original version ran at 30 fps, having some things run at 60 fps can make the game start to glitch out.
