That's a huge turnout of royals to support the King. I had thought it might be just the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester supporting Charles and Camilla, so it was a nice surprise to see the Princess Royal along with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh there as well.
They usually have several branches of the family attend these garden parties, together with the monarch, since there are thousands of people invited to each one (between 2,000 and 8,000 I read somewhere). More royals to cover the crowds means a better chance of meeting someone from the family.
@@jasminderpinder I think the most I've seen in the past was five. I know the late Queen often tended to use the non working royals such as Beatrice, Eugenie and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent at events such as this to make sure they had enough coverage. There are three main ones held each year, along with a couple of smaller ones that are focused more on certain groups. It will be interesting to see if Charles does that too now that the number of working royals are down a bit. Last year I think he stuck to the working royals, if I recall correctly.

I'm an American fan of the Royal Family. For a number of years and what a beautiful clip to see King Charles lll and Queen Camilia as well as other Royal supporters at the Garden Party. He and Camilla look good. Lovely and I'm still sending prayers for his health, wellbeing and success as King. ❤❤

I missed the playful stripes; too busy wishing I was one of those elwgant ladies in the wheelchairs neatly spaced and lined up for a handshake with His Majesty. 😊top hats are sensible to ptotect the eyes from the sun’s glare,

It appears to have been a very successful and enjoyable event..especially since the weather co-operated perfectly. Notice the men in suits and top hats following the King? Armed guards.
My 11 x Great Grandfather Benedict Lee had that job for Henry VIII.
As the event is by invitation only - and on Royal property - there are no need for Armed Guards! The men in suits etc are there to advise the King exactly who he is about to talk to and why they were invited.
