- So what is it like to actually play Star Citizen 3.23? In this video, I spend an hour just jumping into Star Citizen, to see the authentic real experience for the average player. I go in with nothing in mind, to see how the game feels over an hour of gameplay. Call it a reality check on the state of the game. I did it before, and folks seemed to enjoy it.

I feel like olli does this so he doesn't have to show the bugs. I feel like showing the bugs and explaining the solution will help new players more! We all know SC is a bug fest.

Newer FPS quick tip, you can now stow away your helmet quickly without fiddling with putting it in inventory with left ALT + H.
The cutlass steel has the highest hull hp out of all the cutlass. Its so it can get in and drop troupes on the ground plus give some combat support. So its actually a good pvp/pve ship.
Do people even do pvp like that? Can they?
@digitalmc only big org battles however when NPC crews come into play then yes drop ships will have a place and be useful

Your videos are always something to look forward too. No matter what you seem to do it is always entertaining, maybe not always detail packed as some streamers but always entertaining and informative. I think just jumping in and playing actually shows more about the state of the game than a scripted and edited vid.
I haven't played since the update that implemented the FPS bunker missions. It's been awhile. But thank you for this. Just upgraded my GPU and RAM, may have to play again.

I've always wanted to take out flying bounties while on the ground with a missile launcher. It would be a long drive in a ptv or whatever vehicle you want, but it would be interesting.
Chaff works better than flares in 3.23. When you see the missile coming at you, "H" and watch the missiles miss. I toss out a few flares every now and then, but missiles stick to you like glue. Just remember, you get much less chaff than you do flares.
I had a ton of issues yesterday but eventually it stabilized. I had a disconnect and I lost my ship along with the 890 I was sitting by so someone could come slavage it. Then I reconnected and it was gone. My Andromeda was still there though so I only had to claim the 85x I used to get to it. Then later I got a server sync after which the Reclaimer I cleared disappeared while I was waiting for someone to come salvage it.
I was making some decent side credits before clearing these ships of hostiles and then selling their location to salvagers for a finders fee. It isn't a bug or exploit it is a legitimate game play loop. The server was just being lame.

Totally feel that. The changes to the NPCs in conjunction with the latest Master Modes changes arent that great like everyone is praising them for. If you are in a Conni or Corsair, ok, you might get something done. But even the C1 struggles now in bountiies. Every ship below that is pretty much useless. If they want to avoid the pay-to-win voices to get louder, this has to be addressed asap. And what about the "lower skill floor"? It raised quite a bit as it seems.
I used to watch your videos back when you were doing gta content and random beam ng stuff. Now, after many years and after getting into SC myself, I see his videos popping up again
They could definitely implement some kind of recovery drones that come with a medical bay. and you can only have 3 equipped at a time or something.
I like the inventory idea most it more immersive actually having to go find your gear and manage your space and ship storage wise

Regarding clon juice. I think it’d be dope if you could feed bio materials (from dead enemies or any other corpses) to your ship, so you could produce more clones. Bunker missions would look way better 😂
They should add a zero g mode for ships in free fall so you can actually escape (It will only be active if the grav gen is offline)
I hate to say it, but they're definitely going to add procedural star systems. Every system on the star chart is, well, already charted. The Carrack is stated to be a ship capable of detecting and stabilizing uncharted jump points.. both science and exploration gameplay aren’t in yet, but presumably you wouldn't be "exploring" known systems with a rich history of resource exploitation.
Olli, you can hide your helmet with ALT + H. It doesn't put it in your inventory and youwon't forget it anymore.

Getting a bunch of VHRT targets like Reclaimers now seems the new standard for missing person missions as well. No way you are going to fight those in your starter ship. Not too great for new players. If you're very careful, you can sometimes stealth your way in
You ran right past another loot box in that bunker before acquiring the rocket launcher.

Been playing the last two years on a laptop with i7 12th gen and an rtx 3070 with 8 gb of ram….new desktop with i9 14th gen and an rtx 4070 ti super with 64 gb arrives in two days…..I’m so excited!

If you are making something look better than what it is, you are doing your work right. But still the humility to claim that makes you worth watching. This game is huge, but have a lot of bugs and errors. Your videos are insanely good to profit this game, I think not everybody can make them as smart, good looking, and cinematic as you do. My experience today:
-) server 1 "best server": totally bugged and no one else could get out of the bed ... I got to the elevator ... took forever to come ... got in ... took forever to load ... bugged out and clipped through the station as if it was the Willi Wonka elevator
-) game wanted to put me back in the same server; I had to fully restart the game with task manager to get rid of that and choose another region
-) server 2: seemed to work ... after leaving station it lagged hard for everyone.
Went to do a bunker mission, got insta killed by 3 npc ships ... literally 2.5 seconds of them firing and my drake cutlass was insta killed and went within a second from soft to heard dead and explode.
Mission insta failed
Respawned and went with my redeemer to collect my body
Redeemer hit a random fully black and hidden asteroid
lost the full tail
still made it to my body
just looted it on my character
server error => everyone on the server f*cked
-) logged off
Clearly the game doesn't want me to play and have fun
The sad thing is, I've been backing the game for years and played for just as long ... I truly can have fun in this game ... but ... just as many times the game does its absolute best to ruin the time I have to play.

I think you got a crimestat because Ninetails raided a legit site. So technically you weren't damaging a Ninetails base. I still think it should be allowed though. Good video on a solid server.

Beware of 3.24. The cargo changes are gonna add quite a bit of time to starting up your play session. It may look cool at first but it will get very old very fast. Not to mention people who have been hauling on carracks will have to pay for the auto load at supported facilities unless we get a surprise carrack refresh
The new changes in 3.24 will be fun for a little while but they are a big time sink and will be getting annoying after a while.
Just look how easy it is now at 3:03 to 3:16 in the vid you quickly check your armor and take out a weapon.
So like everything in development things will probably change again.
But changing it again might take maybe years before they revisited it... again...

Hi, I have a high-end PC and only get 50 fps. What can I do to fix this?
My experience was falling through the map every time i start (went through multiple attempts for multiple resets) so never had a chance to play since i've got the game. xD Now my pc can't handle the game anymore so who knows will i ever play.
3 most common things that cause that.
Installed on an HDD, not an SSD
Slow internet. Often times wireless.
Low ram.

Is the game hard to run? bcs i play games on a gaming laptop and some games dont work because of to much lag.
It will likely demand everything your laptop has to offer.
And it does not work well on a weak wireless/wifi internet.
We be able to answer better if you tell us your PC specs.
The Gatac Syulen was such a good ship in 3.22, but in 3.23 you can't do any fight with it at the moment. You just die like you did in your video. Hope they fix this ship. It has three size 3 guns and rockets not just for cosmetics.
I think Ihave never seen you joinign a corp gameplay. You can ask for "extraction" kind of gameplay, like save the president kind of stuff... even if you are not from the corp... just contact one.
The servers are okay, but the bugs are terrible. Most of the gameplay loops i've tried have one or two bugs that stop me from doing the whole loop. I've been able to get 1 or 2 servers without any bugs I'VE encountered.

Do you have a settings video? I can get 80-100 FPS in and around the cities but yours looks awesome and I feel I am not getting the most of out it.

Star Citizen makes me flip-flop between amazed enjoyment and bitter, salty rage like no other game before.
How is it fair when you shoot an npc for like 2 minutes straight he still lives, but if he manages to get 10 seconds of uninterrupted fire on you you almost die. Wtf.
But I wanted to see the cool thing that I don't know about one of the ships that I own... ah well. My wife just came and handed me my headphones because she is watching the Olympic trials.
CIG made the Cutty Steel tanky now... Like substantially tanky.

Clones should be carriable vials that have to be transported and manually stored in your ships med bay, and should be expensive to buy/transport
other players should also be able to interact with your vials if you leave them out.
Would be a commodity for red players who would be able to sell your clone vials to pirates.

use alt+h to remove your helmet and attach it at the hip good sir.

bruh, if they just fixed the littlest things. like the jump points not working, 30k server crashes, the idiotic inventory system, smashing the alt N 10 or so times to request a hanger . just give us some quality of life things to enjoy the game during "development"

Yeah it's so cool that you die all the time and the servers aren't working properly and that nothing really works right now... I do appreciate you sharing what the game is right now, personally I'm kinda burnt out on the game because of all the stuff that's not working so I'm taking a break from the game until it starts to work better at least.

Man... You guys need to start refunding because your game will never be made... At least with refunds you might give them a wake up call... But this slow death is going nowhere... Is it better for this amazing game to just die a slow death or should we all gather up for one last fight? One last chance of making CIG realise that they need to fix the game NOW.

you do make it look bather then it is. Im a gamer i play video games not SC only. So first of all 20 to 30 FPS on Ryzen 7 with RTX3080 and32GB ram , no one of u talk about the nasty low FPS in this game. Second of all non of u talk about pay to win ( and yes it is pay to win as long as i start with a shit ship and i need to grind for weeks for a bigger ship or more powerful ship) Then lets talk about the unbalance PVP and the pirates, they all use Hornet MK2 OP ship u can get it only with real money so any one who pays 45$ is cannon meat for the whales. Then lets talk about the game play , well there is no game play there is no economy there is no progress, so ok there is non of this then the problem is that nothing works u canto do 1 mission/quest from start to finish with no problems . NPC AI is abomination they are even brain death or professional snipers. Lets get back to pay to win so players have buy the railgun who can destroy your ship from ground with one shot some times 2. I do really like this game but in this game u play at 20 to 30 FPS and u fight with your wallet plus is full of bugs every action u do u must do it 2 times . Some times i feel like this game is in this bad state just cause all you h guys farm this games for content to make a like or a view on youtube.

04:00 mobiGlas is still not a 3D hologram floating above player's wrist.
06:40 it's still not a living universe, it's just a series of single-player fetch quests manually placed in online locations... and that's all still boring, twelve years in.
I realise you and your viewers love (the idea of) this game (me too) but it's just LACKING IN UNITY as far as a first-person civilian social mmorpg living sandbox is concerned. Let's hope Richard Tyrer can bring the project back together at some point.
