I was instantly addicted to the taste and full body sensations 😊 and it’s still my favorite Indian meal 30 years later. I live in Japan now and my favorite Indian/Nepali restaurant here is kind enough to make me Chana masala and aloo naan even though it’s not on the menu. Amla is gooseberry, girl you need to do your reading! Sonny does his part of the research before he goes out there, I wish he'd pick the co hosts better. Love all the way. Please do come to India again.
My first experience with food from India was pure craziness. So we were invited as standby emergency medical technicians for a ten year celebration for all Indians from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. So with all the travel on the first day, we were busy from morning and only got 30 minutes to eat at around 3pm. Hungry as we were, we had not realised that everything was nuclear, as in hot and spicy. But since it smelt really good, we filled out plates and sat down to munch it all. Well, the coughing started soon enough, and we ended up eating the wheats and and water. Having learned our lesson, we settled for bread and soda for the remainder of the week.
So you’re basically saying you were too stupid to do any research- it’s like someone travels to your country and eats only cheese and pickles with meat all say long- recipe to go to the hospital!
@@Bani_Maini calm down mister Stupid. First of all, I was in high school and it was in my home country, and it was not indicated that it would be exclusively Indian cuisine on offer. It is like you visiting my place and I prepare muthokoi with matu ma nduma and ngwasu. How would you fare...and before you ask what that is, what ever it is, you probably can't digest it!
In india we have so many options with spicy food to make it less hot or spicy u can have mango lassi ,plain lassi, faluda (some type of noodles in thicken flavor milk) ,kulfi(indian ice cream, chaach ( buttermilk), shabbat, lemon soda, shikanji ( sweet lemonade )and many more sweets
5:15 I would like to disagree, Chhole even though technically are Chane, but commonly are regarded as different. Chhole are the ones relatively larger in size, and off-white or pale yellow in color as opposed to the dark yellow or brownish chane.
@@blackbolt5839 it's more important that she know her own language, than ape the English language like Angrezis. It is shameful when Indian people can't pronounce Indian words properly but consider it a point of pride to not only master the "English lessons" but also look down upon those that don't or can't.
Great video, it accurately covers almost all of the varieties of Chhole that can be consumed in India, apart from some inaccuracies which I have mentioned via my other timestamped comments. I agree with other people who said that it would have been better if your host was a food blogger or someone who would be able to explain the intricacies of the food in a better way.
Really appreciate you working with women in India to guide you. There's a skewed western perception of the country and things like this help open people's eyes a little more!
This whole video is basically one dish (chole) had with different breads. Covering every single veg food here would fill 50 years of episodes, or more. Place is truly a veggie delight!
Your show is my escape during this stressful work from home and lock down period. News in TV are mostly negative and bad vibes, with your videos it gives me joy and excitement to try new food and enjoy life. Keep it up.❤️
In Lahore we call this kulcha "Aaloo wala naan". Kulcha in lahore is a huge naan with sesame seeds. We also eat cholay (of different kinds and tastes).. with bhatooray, poori (with halwa), naan and a different kind of Kulcha(not the one stuffed with potatoes). You can have eggs, roasted chicken, maghaz (goat's brain) khad (goat's tongue) or beef koftas with your cholay if you don't want plain channay. Salad and raita is always complimentary. Price is usually around 200 pkr per person.

kuchbhi
Exactly. He could have found a better guide.
Exactly!
That girl messed up
she is not that great in english but she meant imli+mint chutney(its green chutney if you see properly) not imli as tamarind in english
She is not translated the tamarind, according to her imli+mint
6:19 Sonny dont hold back lmao this dude is so wholesome i love this channel so much!
*doesn't lol
Well yeah it's spicy but if you ask I think they can make non spicy food for you too.
In india we have so many options with spicy food to make it less hot or spicy u can have mango lassi ,plain lassi, faluda (some type of noodles in thicken flavor milk) ,kulfi(indian ice cream, chaach
( buttermilk), shabbat, lemon soda, shikanji ( sweet lemonade )and many more sweets

5:15 I would like to disagree, Chhole even though technically are Chane, but commonly are regarded as different. Chhole are the ones relatively larger in size, and off-white or pale yellow in color as opposed to the dark yellow or brownish chane.
Hindustan is India
It's just what it's called in the local languages
India is the English name
Hindustan is urdu language of india
Jai Hind
Its Bharat.
@@moviesedits not really. Both Sthan = place & Hindu from Sindhu both are words derived from Sanskrit. Most would hate to admit that.
It's Bharata.
Chana and chole r different by the way 😂😂😂😂I don't know from where he find that girl 😂😂😂😂
whats the difference
@@wisp8957 just chana, technically, is smaller and dark brown... chole, or Kabuli chana, is chickpeas.
Chhole is the dish made out of chana , otherwise its kala chana or safed chana also known as kabuli chana
You're right sir ,she was saying flour as floor ,I was like shocked pikachu face n I think she didn't complete her English lesson properly 🤣
@@blackbolt5839 it's more important that she know her own language, than ape the English language like Angrezis. It is shameful when Indian people can't pronounce Indian words properly but consider it a point of pride to not only master the "English lessons" but also look down upon those that don't or can't.
WHY do native English speakers INSIST on calling Punjab "Poonjab"?!! P-U-N is pronounced "pun", as far as I know and was taught!!
and they say seek for sikh but its really said like "sick"
vigneshrk...THAT is excusable, in my books. But not the P-U-N suddenly becoming "poon", when there's an EXISTING English word, "pun".
poonjab and mambai
Eh people pass around all kinds of misinformation
Punjab is actually pronounced as PANJAAB
Great video, it accurately covers almost all of the varieties of Chhole that can be consumed in India, apart from some inaccuracies which I have mentioned via my other timestamped comments. I agree with other people who said that it would have been better if your host was a food blogger or someone who would be able to explain the intricacies of the food in a better way.

No one asked. No one cares.
