I searched my first sidewalk Ripout this morning, all I found was a lead tire weight, a ring pull with beaver tail, and a few chunks of copper I have no idea why I was finding copper, one was really heavy
You could go back to that same strip tomorrow and find something great. When they tear out sidewalks here, they put gravel in the same day and concrete the next day.
Losing confidence in a detector is hard to overcome. It will be best for you to find something you feel comfortable with. I hope you find what you are looking for with the Vortex.
I do agree. ... but the vortex isnt close to being ready. They wanted to release it like now but then realized hey we have no features on this machine like our competition @PaystreakSuperfreak
