Really nice approach! I loved seeing how the autopilot reacted to entering that cloud at 2:40..
By the way, why do you have the start switches on continuous for landing? Is that a normal procedure or something unique for that approach?

So when the start switches are in the Off position, the ignition is normally off, however both igniters are activated when there is a rapid decrease (after a bird strike for example) in N2 or N2 is between 57 and 50%; as you might have noticed the thrust levers are in idle for most of the approach, so Boeing recommends to have the start switches in continuous to have a continuous ignition at least you are on the safe side should you encounter any of the above :)

that's the wind, the first 3 digits are the wind direction and the last 2 are the wind intensity, CB is Cumulonimbus, 19/15 is the temperature and dew point respectively :)

Is it actually normal that the "idle" power is increased as soon as the landing gear is dropped? I've noticed an increase to almost 30% N1 compared to 23, if I remember correctly and if my simulation is correct 😅 other than that, superb video!!! :)
When you drop the gear, there is also a flap selection which is flap 15, the two combined produce significat drag which is compensated for by engine thrust. The N1 values you have mentioned are not really accurate, but yes there is an increase in thrust after the landing gear is extended :)
