Mrs. Wolfpit must be an angel putting up with Larry’s crazy self. 😂
Also dont forget they make these on the same broilers as their whoppers
Larry, your opening line on the video, i'm a Gene Watson fan myself, you have good taste in food and music my friend
NO! Speaking for angry vegans worldwide, I can state without reservation that you will NEVER be forgiven for such an affront to vegan sensibilities. Besides, Burger King even warns that meat residue from actual burgers could contaminate your fake burger.
Mrs. Wolfpit has a sectsy voice with all due respect to the master Mr. Wolfpit!
I work at Burger King. The " non-broiler" cooking method is the microwave, unfortunately.

When I first tried the Impossible Whopper, I had almost the exact same thoughts as Ma. Wolf. “It tastes like a mediocre beef burger. Like, a less than top shelf burger.” I didn’t mean that as an insult. For a plant burger, that is actually pretty amazing.
I'll say the standard beef whopper is also mayo-heavy, that's just how every whopper is in my experience.
Which is why whoppers are gross, mayo slathered burger is nasty af
They're charging $8 because they can. No way the ingredients are more expensive than beef. They are banking on the novelty.
Capitalism 101.
It’s likely the prices Impossible is charging them. BK can’t take a loss on each impossible sold
R&D, ever heard of it? Ingredients are only part of the cost. A lot of money went into the development of these things.
The ingredients don’t cost more, but the process that turns them into the final product brings the cost up. Honestly for the quality of the impossible beef and the value of it to their pretty small target audience, it’s reasonably priced. I like meat as much as the next guy but I definitely like impossible/beyond products as an alternative every now and then
The cost will come down when production goes up.
That's how it works. Just like anything else.
I love that you are a "hard core carnivore" but still understand and respect the views of vegetarians and vegans. We need more people in the world like you! 🙌❤️ Thanks for taking the time to understand.

They're really marked up there, I see them for about $5.60
I see similar prices here as well.
Plus they are something like 2 for 7 around me. It's become my go to at BK.
Impossible "meat" costs more currently due to demand still being low. As demand rises they plan to reduce the prices as far as the company, not referring to burger king.
Alendon Valdor that has never made sense to me. I feel like I always hear that when it comes to vegetarian food. But if you have no demand, wouldn’t u want to lower ur prices to draw more people in? I mean, of course people won’t buy it when it’s more expensive than the real thing. That’s supply and demand.
ooO Iluvpancakes Ooo you also have to look at economies of scale and research cost. They likely poured a good amount of money to try and get the product to tasting as close to meat as they can so they have to get their money back from that, and the economies of scale comes in because they likely aren’t making as many at once (since the demand isn’t really there) so they are making it in a smaller batches which means orders are shipped in more batches leading to higher cost etc. If they dropped the price to try and lure more customers in they would probably be loosing money (or be making a very small profit) with no guarantee that people will actually buy the product.

I was coming to say the same thing. I did the $7 taste test a couple weeks ago. Like the Wolfe Pits, I thought it was pretty decent but tasting it side by side with real beef I really noticed the difference. I would definitely eat the Impossible Whopper again if they had no beef left but I doubt I will order it again any time soon. Especially if it more $$ than the regular Whopper. I too had not had a Whopper in a long time so needed the beef baseline to be able to judge them.

You should watch Our Wyoming life the guy did and he will never buy an impossible whopper again
Beyond Meat tastes ok, kinda like deviled ham, but my god you will be burping, farting, in the bathroom for hours after eating it. A beef patty is the better option hands down - I understand why someone might choose to eat it but i think just making a tasty black bean and mushroom burger with caramelized onions would be better. Cut it with mashed potatoes to get a nice crisp on it
There's no comparison. The real one is juicier and better flavor. If it wasn't side by side then you probably wouldn't notice it's not beef. It's more about the choice of not eating beef and being environmentally conscious. You do know that fast food beef burgers ARE made with 100% beef but the content is NOT made up of 100% beef! The majority are fillers and glues.
really appreciate how honest yall are in your reviews
My first bite, I was very impressed. After a few bites it was getting to be just ok. I agree that the impossible patty relies on the other ingredients to make it better.

@Kylem oh yeah...right.
I used to work at burger king several years ago. I will say this about them. Their meat is 100% pure beef(even if it comes in frozen though I don't think this is a big issue since it's being flame-broiled), fresh bread is delivered every day for the buns, fresh lettuce it shredded and fresh tomatoes + onions are cut every morning in-house at the burger king. Only other elements on the whopper pre-made are the sauces (mayo, ketchup which is to be expected), cheese(comes in a big pack like you'd buy at the grocery store. Not sure if it's real american cheese or not as I never checked personally), and pickles(comes in a big 5-gallon bucket). One thing I will say though is that their patties have always been on the thinner end. Please take what I say with a grain of salt as it has been several years since I've worked there and things may have changed in the time I've been gone. :)
I just love your channel.
Ahhhh, Ronnie Milsap- Ate these things twice, enjoyed both times, but yeah-different
The live commentary is adding so much to your videos! I just like the banter between the two of you, seems much more real.
As for the impossible Burger, I think I'll just pass!
Haven't tried the Impossible Whopper yet, but I have tried the Impossible Sliders at White Castle. They taste quite meaty, although I think the smoked cheddar it usually comes with helps. I've also tried the Beyond Meat brats (sold at the supermarket), which are pretty tasty, but cannot be boiled or steamed before browning (because they get mushy and fall apart if you do that -- as I found out the hard way). If you thoroughly thaw the Beyond Meat brats and then pan-fry or grill them, they come out just fine.
My local Burger King (Kerrville tx.) had a special going where you got 2 Impossible burgers for $6.00 (maybe it was a covid special). I don't know if they are still running that special (maybe). That was last summer (2020). The dining area may still be closed as of March 5, 2021. We ate so many of them over a 2 - 3 month period we got burned out on them. My son doesn't eat meat so we were getting them for the whole family of four. Meat Woppers were also 2 for $6.00 but we always got the Impossible burgers. They weren't consumed for an hour or two after I bought them so I would have them put the "meat" in a separate container so the rest of the burger would be much fresher not having the hot burger wilting the lettuce, and we got the condiments to go and put them on later also. Sometimes I would buy extras to be eaten days later since I was only going to town once every week or two. Re-heat the patty in the microwave for about half a minute and the bun for 10-12 seconds. We would do our own Extra Crispy Ore-Ida seasoned crinkle cut fries in the Air Fryer and all in all it was a very good meal . . . 9/10 . . . I would never buy it at the regular menu price ($5.69 burger only) but at 2 for $6.00 I'm glad I got to try them over and over and over again.
I don't get why a veggies wants foods to look and tast like meats are they living in denial?
People are vegetarian for different reasons, some miss beef and foods like hamburgers.
It's a possible solution to factory farming beef.
@Brian Hensley the reasons for being vegetarian/vegan are vast. There isn't one reason that fits everyone. The meat industry is second only to automobiles of probable contribution in causing global warming. Since they cook the impossible burger in the grease of beef, the likelihood of vegans and vegetarians eating it are slim. So, as a consequence, the only reason I can find for it being offered is as an alternative to supporting factory farming. I could be wrong though.
@mr frank someone couldn't follow the conversation. It's you. Your comment makes no sense. Nobody is lamenting their choice of diet. So, you "fucking live with it".

Love this video thanks. I need to try one but get two whoppers at 5.00 it will be a novelty buy. Still I’ll try. Pro tip for y’all I usually do is ask for no mayonnaise or lettuce but no mayonnaise is the key and I do like Mayo but whoppers are grossly over condiments. Cheers 🍻
You sir are a national treasure. So glad I found your channel
