Technically it is just beef salt and pepper. But mcdonalds use Teflon sheets on the topside of their grills and often look very worn out. You definitely are getting a dose of that, plus the plastic coating on the cardboard.

      Right...
I'm not doubting that there's meat in the burger patty - but is it 100% beef (I'm not so sure).
Decades ago I heard someone claim that Purina - a pet-food company - outbid McDonald's on some beef; & this makes me wonder about the amount of meat in McDonald's burgers (as opposed to bone, grissle, & any other non-meat by-products). 🤔
And then there's the oil used to cook the burger: most likely it's not a healthy oil, but rather an inexpensive seed oil that can contribute to making one quite unhealthy (in a rather stealthy/sneaky way).

Macdonald’s states it is 100% USDA beef. It goes on to say it is ground from trimmings of different cuts of meat like chuck and sirloin. I would not make it a dietary staple but it says they use no additives or fillers. The meat itself is probably full of hormones and fed grain or something other than grass 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think for people who struggle to feed their families he’s giving a healthier option for fast food. Since most everything else in the sandwich is carbs and sugar. I’m not carnivore but I see where he’s going.❤ nicely done sir.

And he's ordering/eating just hamburger patties, not the entire quarter pounder sandwich...and he's doing that specifically because he of course knows the sandwich contains a boatload of sugar and other carbs.

Keep in mind that the Quarter Pounders are now made with fresh beef, all other McD's burgers are frozen patties. I'm not sure if there's a nutritional difference, but the flavor and texture of the Quarter Pounder patty is superior.

Just because its never frozen doesn't mean its only fresh beef in there. Reason your body feels different eating a mcd burger and one you make yourself (feeling actually full) is because of the chemicals and filler mcd adds.

I always order the double quarter pounder. I used to love big macs but they are not the same as they used to be, on the other hand their breakfast has always been top notch can't beat a mcgriddle dunked in syrup or a sausage egg and cheese with some hash browns 😋

    • @Thejoeordinary1

Why should they go away if the good doctor is right about the carnivore diet? That wouldn’t make sense. Now if eating tons of red meat along with other fast food meals is bad for you as we have all heard then , yes, they should go, not by government edict but rather by the free market system working as it should. People would just say I’m not putting that crap in my body anymore and over time the lack of profitability would cause them to close shop. Studies have shown that McDonalds hamburger is just that. 100% beef with just salt and pepper, not fillers or horse meat or slime or any other rumored ingredient. So, in summary, if you believe in the carnivore diet then McDonalds has no reason to be avoided ( as long as you avoid high carb selections) I personally very, very seldom eat there b/c I believe in a more plant based and low glycemic carb diet. Just my humble opinion.
