At first, "you right" was a funny thing Mark said a few times, recorded on his sound pad and played back, it made for some pretty comedic scenes. But, those words started playing in my head, eventually hearing it any time I agreed with something or had no other response, and it almost felt like mark was inside my head, pressing that button to say, "you right". It's now gotten to the point where I'm vocally saying "you right" to almost anything anyone says to me. Over and over again, I hear those words. You right. You right..

Ethan's strategy throughout the whole game: "idk, i just like trading and giving stuff"
After watching a video of people playing it for almost 1 and a half hours, I can safely say that I still don’t really understand the rules

Game is about gathering different types of resources to spend. You will not have everything you need, so you'll have to trade. You are trying to be the first to ten points, or more with expansions.
Where you place your settlements is where you get resources if the numbers of the biomes around get rolled.
First person places down a free settlement and road, then it goes down until last person who gets to place two of each. Location is very important. Second location gives you all resources around it for free.
Every turn someone rolls the dice. EVERYONE who has a biome by a settlement with the number shown gets a resource of THEIR biome (a four may give someone wool and another wood)They then commence trading, once done they can build as many things as they can afford. Or buy a development card.
You cannot build within two spaces of another settlement. You can bisect someones road, and this ruins their "longest road" reward. Longest road needs 5 roads, and largest army needs 3 knights. You can steal both of these by having more, each card giving two points. Settlements give 1 point, and once you run out you HAVE to build cities to return your settlement pieces in order to build more. CIties give 2 points (but overlap the settlement point so you just get another point when you build them.)
Development cards do things like just give you an extra point, give you a knight to move the robber and build your army for the largest army card, just build two extra roads, declare a monopoly on one resource type, etc.
Game also has ports, which lets you trade either any 3 resources for 1 thing, instead of the normal 4, or 2 of ONE type for one resource. So it's good to have a monopoly on something like bricks then have a brick port.
RObber gets moved on a 7. You block off someone collecting resources by placing it on one of their biomes, and then you get to steal a random resource from their hand. Only one person even if you block two. You also discard half your hand ONLY WHEN ROBBER I ROLLED if you have over... 7 cards??? or was it 10...

goal is to get the most points, you get points from specific cards and longest road. goal is normly 8 or 12 points. you make roads and houses with suplys, you gain suplies when you have a house on one of em and when the number is rolled

here are the rules so no one has to go digging for them:
Each terrain hex is marked with a die roll number. Each player who owns a settlement adjacent to a terrain hex marked with the number rolled receives a resource produced by this hex. Hills produce brick, forests produce lumber, mountains produce ore, fields produce grain, and pastures produce wool.
We use these resources to expand across Catan: we build roads and new settlements, or we upgrade our existing settlements to cities. For example, a road costs 1 brick and 1 lumber. If we do not have the necessary resources, we can acquire them by trading with our opponents.
Each settlement is worth 1 victory point and each city is worth 2 victory points. If you expand cleverly, you may be the first player to reach 10 victory points and thus win the game!

I played this with my friends that actual physical game. One of them ended up monopolizing the sheep. At first we treated it as a joke. Then when we ran out of sheep, none of us could win because he held ALL the sheep. He became the sheep god. The rest of the game was him extorting us, because we needed sheep to do anything. He ended up wining. To this day, I fucking hate him.

Jff007 Settlements go in any corner, but have to be two spaces from each other. The logs are roads which you can expand your settlements on. The red numbers have the highest chance of getting you more resources. If someone roles an 8, for example, anyone with a settlement on one of the 8’s gets a resource. :D
