Oasis was the best band in the world from '94 to '08. Spend the next year with them in everything you do i.e. walking, driving, exercise, chilling etc. They will change your world outlook. They have a minimum of 35 songs you can react to. They were The Beatles for my generation.
Look up Noel in Argentina singing it . 50 k plus Spanish speaking crowd singing word for word in fluent English …. That’s when you know your a global hit
The gentleman who played the chauffeur in the video was Patrick macnee who was a British icon of the 60s playing the character John Steed in the hugely successful TV show The Avengers.
Not a major Oasis fan but this has become quite an emotional song since it was adopted by the people of Manchester as an unofficial anthem in response to the Manchester Arena terrorist bombing where 22, mainly young, people were killed as they left an Ariana Grande gig in 2017. It does great credit to the people of Manchester to adopt a song saying "Don't Look Back in Anger" in response to such atrocity.
By far my fave Oasis song. It's heavily influenced by John Lennon and The Beatles (including piano intro from 2 songs & several Lennon lyrical references) ♥
I'm the same age as liam and I come from Manchester. These guys and many more from our great city have certainly left their Mark. It was an amazing time and place to grow up in.
Noel is singing on this one but it is usually his brother Liam who does the lead vocals. You should listen to everything they have done - just brilliant, song after song. Ya gotta have a listen to Champagne Supernova. Great reaction guys.
Noel, the singer in this song and writer of Oasis’ songs, is not the actual lead singer, it’s his brother Liam, who arguably has one of the best rock and roll voices EVER! Check out ‘Wonderwall’, or ‘Supersonic’ to hear Liam’s voice at its best. Love your vids! 😊
Dun said it but love to see what younger people think of songs I listened to at your age . Especially people from another country . God bless you both . Good luck with everything you guys do . Love from London
🏴 They flew the flag globally for England in the 90s. This was played at every school disco in the country in the middle of the decade. They were NEVER off the radio back then too. Soundtrack to our childhoods. Great memories. They may be gone, but they'll never be forgotten.
@@chriswhamilton Where were they born and raised? I dont know about you, but I always thought Manchester was England....I could be wrong though. You're definately living up to your name with that comment.
@@johnniejay why does Noel travel on an Irish passport then! In an interview just a couple of weeks back he talked about how he only hung around with other Irish kids and visited other Irish families in Manchester as a kid because the English discrimanted against them.
@@chriswhamilton Whether he likes it or not, hes English. If you're not born in Ireland and have never lived in Ireland how can you be Irish ffs?! The only time hes ever stepped foot in Ireland more than likely is for an Oasis concert. Liam has called him out for this on more than one ocassion btw (hating his country). Hes an incredible songwriter, but hes also a bit of twat.
@@johnniejay they spent every summer in Ireland growing up. Liam spends loads of time there still, always seen in the local pubs in Mayo. My brother was born in Singapore...doesnt mean he's Singaporean.
Oasis were the tip of the ice berg for the many Manc bands. If you were a 90s kid like me, growing up in the Northern part of England, on deprived Council estates where you spent your days kicking a ball about for hours at a time. Then these men were God's. Their rivalry with Blur was epic and probably pushed both bands into producing great music. Probably up here in the north Blur didn't get the credit at the time they deserved. However its good to see that Noel and Damon have patched up their relationship and give each other the credit they deserve these days. Hopefully the G brothers can do the same one day
I remember being in a Tesco super market in Brent Cross there was a buzz and I noticed people running from aisle to aisle along the aisle I was in was a small very good looking blonde woman with a shopping trolley absolutely full on food and drink it turned out to Liam and his wife as I walked towards them he looked at me and nodded his head in recognition what a cool guy 🙏
When I was 9 yes old I wore my cassette tape out playing this album nonstop while I played Tecmo Super Bowl. This was the soundtrack Michael Johnson of the Cleveland Browns got 118 sacks in a single season to.
Oasis were the 90's version of the Beatles... this single was from 1995 - written & sung by guitarist/songwriter Noel Gallagher. His brother Liam Gallagher was the lead singer of Oasis, but didn't like the song, so Noel sang it, and it became a huge hit... Liam did sing Oasis' biggest hit singles - 'Wonderwall' ... 'Champagne supernova' ... 'Live forever' ... 'Supersonic' 🔥 Oasis broke up in 2009, cos the brothers couldn't stand each other anymore, sadly 😥
This song has such an emotional pull .... seeing it performed by Coldplay's Chris Martin & Ariana Grande at the One Love tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing & the crowd singing with such emotion brings tears to my eyes every time I see it ....
I was 11 when this album came out and my brother had a CD player but I still had to buy cassettes for my cassettte player. I ruined this cassette tape listening to this album over and over, flipping from side A to side B and back to A. Still to this day my favorite album ever
Was A LOT of good/original music coming out in the 90's. Some of it today, still, after knowing the music since brand new sounds different than stuff today style wise
Try and find every Oasis song where Noel Gallagher is the lead singer. his songs to me are the best. He's the main song writer and lead guitarist all the songs are his. But the majority of Oasis's lead vocals are done by his brother Liam who sings and plays tambourine - and loves to drink and fight..
Once you go down the Oasis rabbit hole, you NEVER get out.
lol i can see about that
@@DeanBros Do 'Live Forever' the other Gallagher bother. Liam. sings lead. And he is the best lead singer of the last 30 years.

And also James Bond's assistant in A View To A Kill. But not for long!

Many of the greatest bands in history come from the UK. And you've listened to many of them by now. Thanks for enjoying!

one of my fav bands of all time, at one point they were the biggest group on the planet, beautiful brit rock era
People have said that Oasis has a lot of Beatles influence. So it is not surprising you like the sound, since you like the Beatles so much!
They like every video they’re paid to react to
So many amazing bands came out of Britain
I like a lot of Oasis songs, but this one is my favorite. Probably cause' it's the song that first introduced me to Oasis back in the mid-90's.
