Great to see you back on the horse Dave and promoting the fantastic trails we have across Wales. Looking forward to watching part two and a little more detail on your coffee filter would be greatly appreciated!! 🥾🥾
Hi Stuart, lovely to hear from you and I'm so pleased that you've enjoyed the video. Every cloud has a silver lining, and my HRP cloud turned out to have a golden lining. I was so lucky that my journey north through Wales was, in the main, in good weather. The filter is an Ultralight light java drip filter. Regards, D
Great to have you back with a new adventure. Captured the first part of the route really well as always. I know this part really well and the camping spot on Twmbarlwm looked great. Looking forward to the rest of the series. The temperatures in Europe will make that kind of hike very difficult, I guess Wales will be a better option for this kind of through hike.
Getting back on the horse, glad you were able to get back out on the trails again quickly. Nothing worse than dehydration. Thanks for sharing your local knowledge, especially the place names, makes my attempts feel a bit rubbish. Looking forward to see the rest of the trail. Great hills, great adventure 😁
Thank you for the inspiration to get out on this trail. It's hard for non Welsh people to pronounce names if they're not embedded in the Welsh culture. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Brilliant mate.. after your ordeal on the haute you looked so well and relaxed for this trek. I look forward to watching the forthcoming videos... good luck. atb Al
Brilliant video Dave. Really enjoyed it. Important in life to have a plan B in mind which is almost as good as your plan A - and Cambrian Way looks like a pretty good plan B to me. (Though the concept of being too hot for walking is almost impossible for those of us living in Ireland to comprehend).
Many thanks Adam. Yes, CW has always been there but I've also felt that there has been something else more attractive. How wrong I've been. Only 4 full days from the finish now. Videos come out every Sunday at 4pm from now on.
Glad to see you're ok as you didn't look well at the start of the video. It's going to be good to hear the trail names pronounced correctly compared to my attempts lol I can already hear I got cam brian wrong! Thanks for the mention too as I'm not really paying much attention to outdoor channels at the moment on RUclips as it's all bs "there's something outside my tent" nonsense etc. So looking forward to watching this series along with Hunt on the trails videos too.👍🍺
Hi Snowy. Thanks for taking the time to watch my effort and comment. Actually, I pronounced Cambrian incorrectly and realised I was doing it by about video 3. The Welsh names are easier than the English ones it seems!!!
For a moment wondered if I'd clicked on the wrong video, but soon understood. We are all going to have to adapt to more ferocious temperatures. Enjoying the Cambrian Way thoroughly, looking forward to episode 2.
Thanks Catherine. I didn't know whether to start with that clip or not, but it puts things into context and sets the scene. I agree with you. Walking in the mountains on the continent might have to alter. I've been in very hot weather on 3 separate occasions now. It's very hard work indeed.
I was wondering what your next adventure was going to be. I didn't expect it to be the Cambrian Way, but I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in the conditions you experienced in Europe. Good luck for the rest of your trip, hope it wasn't too warm today.
Many thanks Rob. I've had a big day today crossing the hills from Dinas Mawddwy and beyond Cadair. When high up it's been lovely as the breeze is very cooling. Rhinogs start tomorrow!!

Many thanks Janet. You'll know the Mid Wales scenery very well indeed!

Great video. Scenery looks glorious. Looking forward to the next installment.
Thanks Clare. Yes, I've had a very lucky start to the CW with the weather to date.
