I'm glad this season is almost over. Yes, Clark is dominating this season. Next season I can see Clark committing fewer turnovers, averaging 24 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block a game.
Caitlin DOMINATES from the the first moment that she touches the ball. Her dribbling pace is naturally fast which puts defenders immediately on their heels. Her outside shooting range stretches the opponent and creates space for everyone on the floor. Her passing ability is something that no defender had ever seen before and never wants to see again. And for a player that believes that a good offense will always beat a good defense, her own defense has improved marketably from the beginning of the season. Honestly, how many rookies have ever lived up to their hype like Caitlin?
Aja is on a championship team with 5 Olympians and she plays the post only. CC is running the entire team! She handles the ball the most and runs the offense. PG will always have more turnovers simply cuz she handles the ball more than every1 else. Her presence has made the Fever a playoff team. They sucked last few years. As a PG she is killin. Several within 1 or 2 points shy of 30. 5th in Most Points in this season, 1st in Assists per Game, 1st in 3 point shots made, CC is ranked the 8th best player out of 93 players in the 2024 WNBA season and remember she is a Rookie. Yes! CC has had numerous and the most turnovers in 1 WNBA season, but how many of her teammates should be blamed for bobbling or fumbling the pass. CC is not hogging the ball, if she was then most likely would have the Most Points scored in a WNBA Season Record. Hogging the ball also would mean not having an Assist record. All around Caitlin Clark is a well above average player and possibly become one of the Legends of the WNBA. Hype and hysteria this year and next year could be "Who Cares?". But it is a good story and has been very Entertaining this year. Indiana Fever are into the Playoffs for the 1st time since 2016. They have had a fortunate run of wins against mid to lower teams in the league. When it comes to beating NY Liberty, Connecticut Suns, Seattle Storm, Minnesota Lynx, and Las Vegas Aces it only accounts for 4 of the Fevers wins (20 W -19 L) and had not beaten the Aces at all this season. Therefore, when it comes to the Top 5 Teams, Indiana Fever finds themselves in the hole. This shows that Caitlin Clark is unable to prevail against tougher opponents or as a team. However, these huge and significant losses the Fever has against the league’s top teams occurred early in the season or before the Olympics in Paris. Now the Fever is the 6th seed in the WNBA 2024 Playoffs, can the Fever win the 1st round against the #3 seed Connecticut Suns as the Fever have a 28.125% chance of winning the 1st round.(best of 3 games). In the regular season, the Sun's won the first 3 of 4 games as the Fever took the 4th and final game winning 84 to 80 which is rather a close game. A miracle has to happen for the Fever to proceed beyond the 1st Playoff Round. As mentioned only 4 wins against the Top 5 WNBA teams all season long. (Won 4 of 19 games) a dismal 21%. So sorry to see a few hopefuls become injured and not finish the season such as Cameron Brinks and Angel Reese. A'ja Wilson best chance at MVP may have slipped a notch due to injury. Angel Reese just needs to change her demeanor/attitude as she is very good getting rebounds even if 25 to 40 percent are from her own missed shots. I'll call Reese the best there ever been in Second Rebound opportunities. Unfortunately, Angel Reese rebounds have little significance in the game because no matter how many Double-Doubles she has accumulated does not equate or result in a Chicago Sky Town win. Caitlin Clark is no doubt Rookie of the Year and was never in question after the first dreadful 9 games of the season with Fever having 1-8 record. Cannot contribute all those losses to CC as there is no "I" in team. MVP: tough as it could have been Arike Ogunbowale since she has decent stats after Wilson but it is a shame Dallas is not in the Playoffs, so Arike is a no. I think the MVP vote will come after the playoffs. If the Indiana Fever gets a miracle and play the 3rd round in the playoffs and CC puts in the work, she may have a chance for MVP. Without Clark, had the Indiana Fever selected someone else in the draft would likely be in the bottom 4 teams of the WNBA and miss yet another playoff. Then with no Kelsey Mitchell on the team , even with Clark would have been in the bottom 4 because this duo (Clark and Mitchell) is what making the Fever HOT!!!! and don't discount the other team members for their worth as to play a game requires 5 players. Kudos to Mitchell the veteran for not giving up and staying in the WNBA. MVP pretty much was given to the player with the best stats or most points. Well, CC has broken several Rookie Records and if she held the ball rather than passing it (Assists) to her teammates, how many 50 plus point games would CC have in 1 season. I would have to say at least 7 to 10 games with more than 50 points which no WNBA player has ever done. Also CC would be the scoring Queen and therefore be the player with the most points scored in the season naming CC the MVP. A'ja Wilson been at the top of her game here all of 2024 but Clark just has been more impressive PERIOD. Once again, sorry A'ja Wilson is on the injured reserves list but not really on the list with a sprained ankle and sat out the last 2 games and is expected to return for the playoffs fully healed "100 %" Not expected to play in the last regular season game on Thurs. Sept. 19. vs last place ranked 12 of the WNBA LA Sparks as Lynx should easily win this game. Nearly sounds like an Angel Reese situation. Wilson getting some rest in preparation to the playoffs. Nice tactic. Maybe CC is more deserving of the MVP award for not sitting out for any of the 40 games played this season. Another point is Wilson's Minnesota Lynx are not the #1 team in the league this year as that goes to NY Liberty. In many sports, MVP or Top Honor typically goes to a player who is with the top team. Wilson is not however, the Lynx are #2 and have to give some due credit. I'm not going to side with either, they both provided and done well this year. Distinguished what is a Technical Foul or Flagrant Foul. Flagrant Fouls should lead to game suspension. Tech Foul gives the opponent One Free Throw. Excessive yelling and constant debate with an Official for more than 1 minute should be an ejection from the game. You get your say and moment of discussion with the Official but do not over do it. Over use of Profanity should be an ejection from the game. Conduct as a professional is a must.

You know I’m Mr numbers having worked at the IRS almost 20 years, here’s some FACT’s (sorry I missed the past couple of lives, I’ll be there tomorrow): There have been 24 seasons in WNBA history (28 years) where a player averaged 6.5 assists or higher, here are the highest ppg in such a season, Alyssa Thomas averaged 15.5 ppg last year/Chelsea Gray 15.3 ppg last year and Courtney Vandersloot 13.6 ppg in 2020. CC is leading the league averaging 8.44 asst/game (5th all time) and is going to finish 6th/7th or 8th with 19.5 ppg!! Nobody has come close to those numbers. Throw in that she is the leagues leading rebounding guard - 2nd leading guard in blks/game - 2nd in the league in FT% & she’s 12th in the league in 2 point FG% (2nd among guards & ahead of every player scoring more ppg than her, even A’Ja). I’ve been arguing that she was 3rd in MVP (A’Ja first and NaPheesa 2nd) but think she should be 2nd. As for Swoopes, NEVER had a season as good as CC’s rookie year (even in any of her 3 MVP season’s) & yes I know she won at every level, not my argument!!!!

I think what CC has done since the break (24.3ppg-5.5reb-8.9ast), is what she can average next year. Lets be conservative and say she averages 24-5.5-8.0. That would have her #2 in scoring and #1 in assists this year. I would consider that dominating.

I'm glad this season is almost over. Yes, Clark is dominating this season. Next season I can see Clark committing fewer turnovers, averaging 24 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block a game.

Caitlin DOMINATES from the the first moment that she touches the ball. Her dribbling pace is naturally fast which puts defenders immediately on their heels. Her outside shooting range stretches the opponent and creates space for everyone on the floor. Her passing ability is something that no defender had ever seen before and never wants to see again. And for a player that believes that a good offense will always beat a good defense, her own defense has improved marketably from the beginning of the season. Honestly, how many rookies have ever lived up to their hype like Caitlin?
Aja is on a championship team with 5 Olympians and she plays the post only. CC is running the entire team! She handles the ball the most and runs the offense. PG will always have more turnovers simply cuz she handles the ball more than every1 else. Her presence has made the Fever a playoff team. They sucked last few years. As a PG she is killin. Most responsibility is on her, and she is shining.

5th in Most Points in this season, 1st in Assists per Game, 1st in 3 point shots made, CC is ranked the 8th best player out of 93 players in the 2024 WNBA season and remember she is a Rookie.
Yes! CC has had numerous and the most turnovers in 1 WNBA season, but how many of her teammates should be blamed for bobbling or fumbling the pass.
CC is not hogging the ball, if she was then most likely would have the Most Points scored in a WNBA Season Record. Hogging the ball also would mean not having an Assist record.
All around Caitlin Clark is a well above average player and possibly become one of the Legends of the WNBA.
Beyond all this, CC is the persona that brought widespread attention to the WNBA like no other person ever has in the past.
Remember, things do not last forever. Hype and hysteria this year and next year could be "Who Cares?". But it is a good story and has been very Entertaining this year.
Indiana Fever are into the Playoffs for the 1st time since 2016. They have had a fortunate run of wins against mid to lower teams in the league. When it comes to beating NY Liberty, Connecticut Suns, Seattle Storm, Minnesota Lynx, and Las Vegas Aces it only accounts for 4 of the Fevers wins (20 W -19 L) and had not beaten the Aces at all this season. Therefore, when it comes to the Top 5 Teams, Indiana Fever finds themselves in the hole. This shows that Caitlin Clark is unable to prevail against tougher opponents or as a team. However, these huge and significant losses the Fever has against the league’s top teams occurred early in the season or before the Olympics in Paris. Now the Fever is the 6th seed in the WNBA 2024 Playoffs, can the Fever win the 1st round against the #3 seed Connecticut Suns as the Fever have a 28.125% chance of winning the 1st round.(best of 3 games). In the regular season, the Sun's won the first 3 of 4 games as the Fever took the 4th and final game winning 84 to 80 which is rather a close game. A miracle has to happen for the Fever to proceed beyond the 1st Playoff Round. As mentioned only 4 wins against the Top 5 WNBA teams all season long. (Won 4 of 19 games) a dismal 21%.
So sorry to see a few hopefuls become injured and not finish the season such as Cameron Brinks and Angel Reese. A'ja Wilson best chance at MVP may have slipped a notch due to injury. Angel Reese just needs to change her demeanor/attitude as she is very good getting rebounds even if 25 to 40 percent are from her own missed shots. I'll call Reese the best there ever been in Second Rebound opportunities.
Unfortunately, Angel Reese rebounds have little significance in the game because no matter how many Double-Doubles she has accumulated does not equate or result in a Chicago Sky Town win.
Caitlin Clark is no doubt Rookie of the Year and was never in question after the first dreadful 9 games of the season with Fever having 1-8 record. Cannot contribute all those losses to CC as there is no "I" in team.
MVP: tough as it could have been Arike Ogunbowale since she has decent stats after Wilson but it is a shame Dallas is not in the Playoffs, so Arike is a no.
I think the MVP vote will come after the playoffs.
If the Indiana Fever gets a miracle and play the 3rd round in the playoffs and CC puts in the work, she may have a chance for MVP.
Without Clark, had the Indiana Fever selected someone else in the draft would likely be in the bottom 4 teams of the WNBA and miss yet another playoff.
Then with no Kelsey Mitchell on the team , even with Clark would have been in the bottom 4 because this duo (Clark and Mitchell) is what making the Fever HOT!!!! and don't discount the other team members for their worth as to play a game requires 5 players. Kudos to Mitchell the veteran for not giving up and staying in the WNBA.
MVP pretty much was given to the player with the best stats or most points. Well, CC has broken several Rookie Records and if she held the ball rather than passing it (Assists) to her teammates, how many 50 plus point games would CC have in 1 season. I would have to say at least 7 to 10 games with more than 50 points which no WNBA player has ever done. Also CC would be the scoring Queen and therefore be the player with the most points scored in the season naming CC the MVP.
A'ja Wilson been at the top of her game here all of 2024 but Clark just has been more impressive PERIOD.
Once again, sorry A'ja Wilson is on the injured reserves list but not really on the list with a sprained ankle and sat out the last 2 games and is expected to return for the playoffs fully healed "100 %"
Not expected to play in the last regular season game on Thurs. Sept. 19. vs last place ranked 12 of the WNBA LA Sparks as Lynx should easily win this game.

Maybe CC is more deserving of the MVP award for not sitting out for any of the 40 games played this season.
Another point is Wilson's Minnesota Lynx are not the #1 team in the league this year as that goes to NY Liberty.
In many sports, MVP or Top Honor typically goes to a player who is with the top team. Wilson is not however, the Lynx are #2 and have to give some due credit.

Do we want to ignore the facts and also forget that a veteran player deserves the MVP honors. Unusual set of circumstances and an unique year this has been.

The WNBA is getting National attention and games Televised which we have not seen for ages as it appears. People should be Happy and thrilled, mostly young girls and women alike.

Women's body center of gravity and genetically are shorter in height than men hence makes it a disadvantage to Slam Dunk a ball at 10 feet.
Let's see what the near future holds for the WNBA. It should be interesting if players and coaches in the league and fans behave like civilized people and enjoy the sport without criticizing everything and other people. Officiating will never be perfect and never has been. We don't want AI "computers" to analyze each play to indicate a foul was made as it would make the game longer with many game stoppages for review. Nothing like watching a game that was played in 90 minutes to 2 hours become 4 hour long. I am all for Coaches Challenge when a play call could be in error of judgement and at times when refs not sure if person stepped out of bounds, last touched by, or was it 3 or 2 point basket. Distinguished what is a Technical Foul or Flagrant Foul. Flagrant Fouls should lead to game suspension. Tech Foul gives the opponent One Free Throw. Excessive yelling and constant debate with an Official for more than 1 minute should be an ejection from the game. You get your say and moment of discussion with the Official but do not over do it. Over use of Profanity should be an ejection from the game. Conduct as a professional is a must.

Dominating to me is when you can raise your team up. The Fever is in a good place right now for the first time since 2016! That is what it means to dominate, just like Angel Reese, yeah she can rebound but that didn't make the team better, in fact before she quit the team was in it's worst place in several years. And as for Swoops, I watched her play and it was in the very early years of the WNBA and I can honestly say they were horrible. the talent pool was about high school level players the coaches were bad and the refs were 10 times worse than they are now! So for Cheryl Swoops to act like she did anything is ludicrous how can you imagine you're something special when the teams you played against were by and large about high school level players! If Swoops in her prime were playing todays players she would get run off the floor!

There have been 24 seasons in WNBA history (28 years) where a player averaged 6.5 assists or higher, here are the highest ppg in such a season, Alyssa Thomas averaged 15.5 ppg last year/Chelsea Gray 15.3 ppg last year and Courtney Vandersloot 13.6 ppg in 2020.
CC is leading the league averaging 8.44 asst/game (5th all time) and is going to finish 6th/7th or 8th with 19.5 ppg!! Nobody has come close to those numbers. Throw in that she is the leagues leading rebounding guard - 2nd leading guard in blks/game - 2nd in the league in FT% & she’s 12th in the league in 2 point FG% (2nd among guards & ahead of every player scoring more ppg than her, even A’Ja).
I’ve been arguing that she was 3rd in MVP (A’Ja first and NaPheesa 2nd) but think she should be 2nd.
As for Swoopes, NEVER had a season as good as CC’s rookie year (even in any of her 3 MVP season’s) & yes I know she won at every level, not my argument!!!!
