I feel that no-matter the teams. If your going to play a game you should always strive to win or don't even play. A game is a game and doesn't matter what type.
I think Fever will play to win. They are looking at possibly having a winning record for the first time in several years. That would be hard to pass up the chance. I do see them playing bench players a little more, though.
I think the Mystics will be very tough. A win with a Dream loss, and they're in, so they will play with great passion. The Dream is playing the Liberty, so not a good match up for them.
@@floydhughes2147 The last time they finished over .500 was 2015 (20 and 14), and they lost in the Finals. Not counting now, the last time they were over .500 during the season was June 13, 2019.

No matter who they play, just hoping the Fever play their best in the playoffs and can make a good run. Don't think this is their year but Indiana is way ahead of schedule regardless
Why would they duck the team they have beaten every time they played them. Along with the Linx, the Aces are the hottest team in the W right now. Resting your stars is smart for the long haul. They're keeping their eye on the prize---third straight title.
@@hiataki7 I agree that was the major factor. Smith is a 57% FT shooter for the season, and she was 1 for 4. The Fever shot 55% for the game and lost by 4. @@denniskaramitros216 If you're Shaq it makes sense; he dominated in other ways. Not Nalyssa Smith. While she does have her moments, she is mostly a liability.
What's more interesting to me is are the Connecticut Sun going to sit their starters tonight? If they do then CC has the assist title locked up. If Alyssa Thomas plays though then CC needs to be out there too. But even if Thomas didn't play I'd still rather see Clark on the floor, at least for a few minutes, because who knows if she's going to turn out to be an all-time iron woman (a la Stockton) and it would be idiotic to stop a possible long streak of consecutive games played when you're only in your first season.
Star players should never be healthy scratches, especially in a league that is still growing a fan base. How many fans bought tickets to see Aja Wilson play tonight??
Man.. if I am Seattle.. Im taking that personal! Aces would rather play Seattle over Fever? A team with no playoff experience? A team they just beat twice? Hmm
Aces were 4-0 vs the Fever. Why would they intentionally duck them? Also, Becky Hammon is miles ahead of Christi Sides as a coach. In a playoff series, coaching can make a big difference. The CT Sun wont be an easy series but they are a better match up for the Fever.
They had the weakest strength of schedule after the break. They’re also 4-16 against teams over .500. That’s the same as the Sparks who are the worst team in the league… It’s safe to say, Fever aren’t remotely close to contenders just yet.
Why is everyone saying rest or limit starters when they get an elite week off till their 1st playoff game? 🤔 makes no sense to me I'd play them to win and keep mystics outta playoffs
2022 Luka got injured in the last reg season game. Then he missed the first 3 PO games. Thankfully the opponent was "only" Utah. So Dallas went 2-1 without him, but there is allways a risk. This season Dallas sat out Luka/Kyrie the last 2 games when it was clear they were the 5th seed.
Aces don’t control their destiny in getting the 3rd seed. They would need Connecticut to lose to a Sky team without at least 2/3 best players. So what’s the reason to play the starters especially when they’re game happens 3 hours after the Sun one. Now if the Sun tank their last game deliberately I think then the Aces could trot the starters out there and really try to win. But there is no ducking
Because the Sun are gonna lose. But i like your point. I don't think the entity known as the W care. There are so many things wrong with this league and the welfare of rookies is on a par with Viet-nam. 19 then 22 now. Before this rookie season what happened to the rookies of 2023. We are just now seeing (new fan here. First game start of the season for Clark and the Fever) the disregard of the youth. Sure i watched Magic ( before him Nothing) and now Clark. Times are definitely changing. But the future of the sport is not assured.
First...Fever is playing on road at Washington so... no expectation in front of fans who want see Caitlin plays at DC. Second... Aces sweep 4-0 the regular season games to the Fever so... if you are a Fever fans is better for you to pray to meet the Sun in the playoffs inside of Aces.
The refs gave the games to the Aces and Queen Aja; even the announcers noticed it. I think the only team the Fever might not be able to be is the Lynx.
No. Absolutely not. The fever are the ones that should be afraid of this matchup. The only chance the fever have of winning a game is if they get matched up with the Sun.
You actually need to look deeper into the playoffs and you will see the Aces are trying to avoid meeting Minnesota in the second round (as they would in third place) until the final championship round as they will in 4th place.😊 It will make a big difference in the 2nd round & not much to do with the Fever in the 1st round.😉
Connecticut will beat Sky IMO, they have only won once against Seattle, so I think they prefer Fever. Vegas has beat Seattle three times, I know, Indiana 4 times but they know Fever had way off night on offense as well as missed 9 free throws and game came down to the wire. So, I don’t think Aces want Fever, it would be even worse to get knocked out by Fever and most of the time a team doesn’t want to face another team when they just played them twice. After checking it’s a mute issue if Suns beat Chicago, and Aces play 3 hours after tonight so Aces might be playing a little chess, day to day is pretty much the injury roster.
Your thumbnail is off. You should pay more attention to X, and other apps. It's the Sun that is avoiding the Fever. And if the info is correct the Sun will lose their last game, But the Aces need to win to make "the prediction" come true.
Chicago has multiple starting players out against the Sun, no way Conn is losing their last game at home against a crippled team even if they tried. Doesn't matter what Vegas does..it'll be Vegas/Seattle and Conn/Indiana on the first round//
A little misleading. The Aces have not ruled out the Olympians., they are doubtful The result of the Conn/Chi game will be known prior to tipoff for LV. If Conn loses then I assume LV will pay, if not they sit.
