Hey I have men s10 now apart and there is quite a bit of space behind the glove box. if you open it and remove the lock part and 4 screws then you can take the top part down. from there you can see if you have enough space.
Im mailing you a obd1 code reader for gmc and chevy.. basically you plug it in a count the blinking of the check engine light.. i dont need it any more ill put it in the mail tomorrow...

I believe all the 4.3 S-trucks use the passenger side overflow tank. Problem solved.
If you move the battery to the back, that clears up space on the passenger side for the air cleaner and removes ~40 pounds from the front end. It's a win-win situation!

When I re-located my battery for my integra I went and got jumper cables from harbor freight. I bought a 20 ft jumper cables and it was the best bang for bucks. Ran her for three years with ZERO issue.

You can use a S 10 truck radiator reservoir. It goes behind the battery on that side. It would make room for your air filter and you can also use your wiper reservoir to that’s the way I have mine

I would throw the battery in the back and then run you a positive and negative port up front bolt that somewhere so you can still charge from the front as well.

You should have your ecu checked to see if they changed the tune from speed density vs maf a lot of the time they change it to speed density when doing an ls swap
The battery relocated to back would be nice.. but is it necessary everything is already ready to go. Ready to see this thing ripping. Youll make the best choice.

Leave the battery up front and just go to the junkyard and buy a small coolant resivor and bracket off a older civic or other car.
You should run the overflow to the back and leave the battery where it is

That big clip with the power wires looks like it is for the fan speed inductor board. Not sure with this vintage but that is what my ‘92 K1500 had for that plug

Im more of sbf sbc type of guy..not really LS but only time ive seen a engine have that much coolant pressure after being off all that time was a bad gasket, essentially the cylinders was pressurizing the coolant syatem. That was crazy to see.
I changed the coolant temp sensor in my 97 mustang 2 minutes after i got home from the store and it didnt have that much pressure.
The LS like most modern engines require 15psi in the cooling systems.

Use that new battery to start your moms truck. So then it will be ready from r her to just bring another battery to pick truck up
I’d say leave the battery since you cleared up some room with the ecu and soon overflow

The ls1 is lighter than an iron 5.3 and 6.0 but the block is definitely not stronger you can actually more power with the iron blocks over the aluminum blocks
What computer are you running the stock Tahoe one just flashed for standalone? I've heard bad things about those eBay harnesses being wrong for the vortec truck engines as the eBay harness have wires in different pin locations because they are built to LS1 specs per GMs original specs

stock to stock longblock a 6.0 is better for boost all day. and if you get a truck 6.0 it will have the same bellhousing as the older th400 trans without adapters.

Hey man leave the battery where it's at! Your already involved in way too many things with the blazer already so just don't over complicate it. It's not a JDM build and your stuffing a small block V8 into a small blazer engine bay so "having room" doesn't exist 😂😂😂😂. Your doing great bravus keep up the good work

Used a large swamp cooler in korea. Made a huge difference in the shop.
