Congratulations! Thrift book buys are the best. I have bought this month something like 39 books and I still haven't gotten around to reading them all 😂 The books in your haul are all amazing and happen to be from my favourite authors 👍
Yesterday I bought the same Leisey's Story like yours from a second-hand bookshop. I don't usually buy hardcovers because they are too heavy to hold but with Stephen King, I am going to collect anything in good condition.
I grabbed a few today too! Three by our boy SK The girl who loved Tom Gordon From a Buick 8 Everything's eventual And a few fear street books by RL Stine The new boy The Halloween party The surprise party I'm having a hell of a time finding vintage Fear Street books.
I got to admit that after reading Lisey’s Story I did got a little teary eyed after reading and hearing Stephen King’s story behind it hands down one of my favorite Stephen King book
98% of the books I own are from thrift stores. Found the stand there and pretty much the entire dark tower books. It's a nice feeling finding something really cool
In addition to The Scarlet Letter, Hawthorne's Young Goodman Brown is well worth reading. Stephen King's short story The Man In The Black Suit in Everything's Eventual is described by King himself as an homage to Young Goodman Brown so there are similarities. Especially as a Christian you'll find it interesting.
I haven't invested much time into Stephen King novels beyond the green mile. May have to look into more of his work. I guess his name is everywhere for a reason. Ha
