Focal didn't changed too much in their designs for past two decades, rather they bring down the cabinet quality for new and entry levels.
I think their best for the buck speaker is Electra 1028 or 1038 series.

beryllium tweeters, 3rd gen 'W' cone drivers. 1028 and 1038 are BE II! Way more attractive than the Sopras too.

I own a pair of 726s made about 6 years ago. Sadly it looks like they have lowered their quality when it comes to materials and build. The pair I own are beautiful and sound amazing.
