How I cut 90s layers into my own hair!

- My step by step tutorial of how to cut bouncy face framing layers into your hair at home!
I am a fully qualified hairdresser so please feel free to ask me any questions in the comments below!

How I cut these bouncy 90's style layers into my own hair:
1- Starting at the very top of the hairline, cut the first section to the desired length.
2- Gradually introduce more hair section by section and use the length of the previous section as a guide while cutting in a downwards motion for a seamless gradual effect.
3- Repeat this on both sides
4- Once the hair is dry, remove weight to shatter any harsh lines

4- Finish off the look with a nice bouncy blue

So you and I have the same hair type and style even before your cut but after watching this I wanted to try it with my own bc it feels flat all the time and I hate to and never do curl. So my question is, the after of your haircut did you curl it? Or was it naturally curling?
@@Melissa-bm6bi I have my self a bouncy curly blow dry after I cut it which I always do when I was my hair, on the odd occasion that I let my hair air dry, it still looks fine and the layers sit nicely but curling the hairs inwards definitely makes this haircut nicer

I’ve always wanted to do 90s layers at home .. but the FEAR of how it’ll turn out is forever haunting me 🫣
I’m going to make a more detailed tutorial soon but just start small, you can’t uncut hair but you can always cut more if you want it to be more noticeable ☺️
I tried to cut my hair but I messed up so now I’m waiting for it to grow so I can try again…. 😀

I went to a Hairdresser
But the top wasn't layered enough
So I Pulled the 1st layer up
Chopped off about 5 inches
I thought my gf was going 2 have a heart attack when she saw me slice it off

I've messed up my hair more times than I can count, yet I continue to cut it with confidence 😂 haha you learn as you go
I do it myself and even tho it will never look as good as shown in the video I learnt that if you just go slow, you cant rlly ruin anything, just dont chop of huge amounts of hair at once :)

Why do people feel the need to copy other people's comments as if other people aren't going to notice it? Did you forget that we can easily see which comment was posted first? I mean you worded the comment exactly the same as they did but added quotations and changed the emoji as if that was going to make it unique 🙄. Are the likes really that important to you that you can't just be yourself and comment something original? To be honest everyone’s complaining about their hair being too flat while my hair is just all over the place wavy with volume I guess and it curls up. I wish I had fully straight hair. Also, your skill with them scissors is so good, I’m learning to become a hair stylist and I cannot cut hair this good because of pandemic. Anyways you’ve got some big talent for sure.

Do you brush your curly hair while it is dry? That makes it more poofy and takes out of curls so it doesn't look as nice

Honestly I started cutting my hair myself, we all start somewhere, even if it's bad, hair grows back. U can always start off with small cuts before doing anything big.
