This one worked amazingly on my 5 year old daughter’s hair! It was a hot mess, but she wants to keep it long. The layers turned out beautifully! Thanks!
I cut my own hair during lockdown once. I cut dry hair because I was so tired of it. I think wet would be more difficult for most lay people. If you think of hair people they always wet hair in sections.
I just watched and cut my hair following your instructions. Best haircut I’ve had in recent memory. I cannot believe how much money I’ve wasted on haircuts over the years. Never spending another dollar. Thank you!
I did this on my 11-year old and we are shocked. I am terrible at cutting hair lol and I actually pulled this off; so easy, doable, quick, and it looks PROFESSIONAL. I really really appreciate your video cuz I didn’t have enough money to give my daughter a nice professional hair cut for school so I told her I’d do one myself and because of your video, she looks fabulous!!!! Thank you so so so much. My daughter has super super think hair and this cut made her look like a Rachael hair style after a blow out lol! It’s awesome . We love it thank you again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just cut my hair like this and love how it came out! Super easy. I have thick, heavy straight hair and I needed something to make it feel lighter for summer and this did the trick.
I've been wearing this style since the 90's because it's just what works best on my hair type. Can't tell you how many times I had to come home from the salon and fix it myself over the years because the stylist just couldn't blend it or get the face framing right. I learned a lot of layering tricks over the years but this looks so quick and easy. Great tutorial.
Hi I just wanted to say I cut my hair at 2am last night following this and was quite successful!! I nearly cut off about 10 inches of hair lol thank you so much for not editing out parts when you had to trim more, that part helped me a lot!!!
I've done this twice (my second one today!), and let me tell you, I love the results. It's a simple haircut, but it's fresh and it gives me something fun to try with my hair when it grows out too long. I definitely would recommend this if you want something easy and if you're looking to make a change with your hair that isn't too out there. 10/10 video & haircut!
I just tried this and I must say that I am completely in love with the results. This was the easiest/fastest haircut I have ever given myself. I feel like it turned out better than a salon haircut! ❤❤❤
I just did this haircut and let me tell you how much I'm loving this. I've never cut my hair by myself but this has become my favorite now. Thank you for helping us out ❤️✨
My hairdresser of 20+ years just retired. I was nervous about going to someone new, so I decided today that I was going to look up how to cut it myself. Your video was the first one I came across. I cut my hair in a few minutes, and I think it turned out well. Thank you for this instructional video!
Omg THANK YOU!! I have a very similar hair type to yours and I absolutely love how it turned out!! It really does look good straight, and my hair is naturally very straight so when I'm feeling lazy I can just spend spend 5 minutes running a straightener through to smooth it out, good to go! I'm so happy with it, I can't thank you enough! ❤️
I did it. My hair was a few inches shorter than yours, but I did it and it came out awesome. My hair is fluffy and has more body. When I get my haircut, I asked them for a long layers and it never seems like I get what I want, but I was able to do it myself. You’re awesome, thank you
I’m gonna use this method every time I cut my hair from now on because it was amazing! Usually takes me a good hour to cut my own hair and add layers in, this took 5 minutes for an amazing result! 😆👏🏻 Love it, thank you! ❤️
Thank you. I never thought this would look good on thick black hair but seeing it flow so nicely on your hair gave me courage and saved my winter. I didnt want to pay 70 dollars for a layered haircut I won't be using during winter but still wanted the lightness of it for comfort when I'm home and just feel good so there isnt long hair pieces falling on my face or looking messy .. Thank you very very much. I am thankful. It looks perfect now but might look sticky tomorrow just because I used a cheap hair scissor but it still saved me a trip to a salon for simple layers. :)
I suck at literally everything I try to do, and was so nervous to try this! But O M G!!!! I actually and SOOO frickin’ HAPPY how my hair came out after your video! I’m so in shock, LOL!! THANK YOU!!!!!!! 🙏🏻🩷
This worked really well for me! Granted, my hair is really wavy, so it’s pretty forgiving - any mistakes kind of get lost in the waves. But this method gave me nice, subtle layers. Going to be my go-to from now on!
I tried this haircut and GUSS what, it turned out to be an amazing haircutttt i can't believe how good it looks. I like it even more than a salon cut. Thank you so much ❤
This does work! Amazing. I did modify a little like some of the comments suggested. I put my pony tail on the top of my head rather than so far in front so that the layers weren't as drastic. So easy.
Thank you for this. I am a lace front wig wearer and I’m always looking for a new ways to make my wigs look more on the positive trend. This cut took my most recent wig from cute to it girl. Thank you mamas!
I just did it!! Took less than 5 minutes, you are a God send my dear! Haha, loving it. That was just what my flat long hair needed!! thank you thank you thank you!! 🙋💙✝️🇺🇲
OH MY GOSH! YOUVE SAVED MY CONFIDENCE!! I had wolfcut a month ago, I didn't like it so much, it was such a hassle to maintain and paid $100+. Im so desperate to fix my hair. But the moment I saw your video and followed your clear instructions, VOILA! A disappointing wolfcut become a very beautiful layered hair and best part is DIY AT HOME! Omg THANK YOU

I love this video so much because my hair is super thick like yours and I like that the layers are mostly in the front and not as much in the back. I did this cut on my hair about 8-10 months ago and it grew out beautifully!!! I have bigger curls (think messy beach waves 😂) and for the first time in my life have been opting to leave it rather than straightening it! Also, Did the same cut on my 7yo daughters hairs and LOVE how perfectly it turned out on her thin hair. She won’t get an actual hair cut and because she has much thinner hair, it actually made the layers much more subtle which was perfect for her.
Omg thanks for this video. I did it and I actually did few times and stopped upon reaching my desired length. It’s perfect. My friends thought i had it professionally cut. This is so far the best I’ve seen on you tube. Most of all it’s the easiest way.
Saved this video in my favorites because I've watched your video to cut my hair twice already and I loved how it turned out. Probably gonna cut it like this forever now haha

So I did it, and it looks better than when I go to the salon. Saved me $80, and I prefer this cut over what I get when I go to a professional. I haven't had a steady pro cut my hair in a long time. I feel like I salon hopped looking for the perfect stylist but to no avail. This is exactly what I wanted. My fine flat hair looks like I have volume and the most important bit is I lost very little length.
Thank you so much! I hate going to hair salon because it always takes a long time and I had never felt fully satisfied with the result. This tutorial is so easy and I love the result!
Plus they never listen. I haven't been since April and it's still around the length I kind of wanted. I wanted it a little shorter in the back but I took my eyes away & all of a sudden my front was like at my ear. I was like what? Now I try and get in & she claims she is too busy to get me in for just a trim with a little layering & color before I have to go out of state on Oct. 17. This is small town. BS. Then I'd have to watch her pricing too I just don't know who to go to & I ask and "everyone is SO helpful - like 1 person can't help?" Sorry.
Thank you very much for this video!!! I bought a two pairs of scissors for like £20, and from now, I wont go to the hairdressers to spend hundreds! No one believes that I CUT my hair, it turned out so well! Girls, dont be afraid, just follow the video step by step, you wont regret it! ❤️

But now I can do anything with it but put it in a braid or a bun and it gets so tangled and hurts soooo much. Omg, I went through like 5 other videos of hair stylists doing a diy on a mannequin!!! I thought the same as you, thanks for showing us how to actually DIY!! ❤
It looks so pretty! I'm going to try this on my blow out before washing it back to curly. I have a feeling my curls will look extra bouncey with this cut
My hair turned out amazing as well! I dont trust hairdressers, and they Seem to be afraid of cutting layers and u/v shape in my hair, so annoying. I am glad i found your video, this Will be the Way i cut my hair from now on. Thank you❤️
Just tried this and I’m beyond pleased with the results I have really long curly hair and it was really dry on the ends but I like it long ❤ thank you for the tutorial ❤
Thank you so much for this. Ive watched so many videos but for some reason this one gave me all the courage and confidence & i love the outcome! I was dying to cut my hair. Lol.
I just did this impulsively because I was bored. I love it so much, its so easy to cut and looks so nice. My bathrooms a hot mess tho lol TYSMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
GIRL I LOVE YOU summer is the hardest season with really long hair I needed something but not short I Tried it and I lovee it even in the shower its easier to wash!!!
thank you i j got my hair cut but my stylist didnt consider how thick my hair is TT _ TT my hair is short but poofy bc of it n this tutorial helped tame my hair. crazy how simple it is
Girl I did and it looks fantastic. I have fine Euro hair but lots of it so it's very voluptuous. I did it just below my chin... I'm so happy LoL.. thank you.
Fantastic, thank you :D I love cutting my own hair too. It's so much better than going to the salon where they do what they want and not listen to you at all haha.
hey i want to thank you for such a lovely video. I wanted to have a haircut but I have very dense and long hairs so I was confused what should I go for. I tried your method of haircutting and my hair has come out so beautiful and perfect. A big big thanks to uh ❤❤❤❤
I just did this I am so over the fking moon right now... followed every step to a tee and it came out incredible like yours!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!! I'm amazed! Hahahaha!❤️❤️❤️
I’m literally freaking smiling at everyone’s comments! Imagine if we did a worldwide reunion 😆 everyone who watched Tina’s haircut tutorial 💇 we would literally all be matching! With an Awesome haircut !
3 days ago I had limp long hair down my back. RUclips randomly recommended this video to you. And I thought heck why not, I’ve got three scrunchies and a scissor... best haircut ever! 💜
Oh my gosh. You literally just saved me $75! I did this in 10 minutes and the cut came out better than what my stylist does. THANK YOU!
music to my ears hearing you say you saved money!! ♥️
❤I want to try it but I'm scared I'll mess up.... ❓💯🙏🏻

This is actually another way they teach you in the salon to do layers!!! So it is proven to work every time, easy and looks beautiful!!!!
