We should remember that when we apply oil with turmeric it never gets dried when we keep in the sunlight rather the oil keeps melting but the vessel absorbs it day by day ,this same process can be donefor cast iron utensils and finally wash it with beasen flour,because our intention is to make cooking using materials from the nature itself.On reaching to the final step for seasoning it is better to boil regular water than starch water ,because starch gets thickened and the material absorbs it into its tiny spaces and this leads to spooling of our food cooked in it.For earthen pots it’s always good to burn coconut shells in the fireplace and keep earthen pots inverted over it ,number of the coconut shells needed depends on the size of the vessel,result is ,the earthen pot becomes black seasoned with the oil that oozes from the coconut shell.Avoid using starch water for seasoning and not to use any kind of chemical products for washing earthen pots and so on.If we are pleased to do it echo friendly mannercomplete the process also by using the substitutes made available from the nature avoiding chemical based cleaning agents.Always remember to wash cast iron utensils and earthen pots once it is completly cooled.
